El Kabron Bali: the Uluwatu sunset — pool parties, daybeds and how to book
El Kabron has sat on the cliff at Uluwatu since 2011, and it is where the island goes to watch the sun go down: an adults-only infinity pool, a Mediterranean kitchen, and a sunset party every day of the week, each with its own theme. Which day to pick, what to book, and how FirstBali does it.

El Kabron is a beach club with no beach: a terrace and an infinity pool on the limestone cliff at Pecatu, in Uluwatu, on the western edge of the Bukit, with the Indian Ocean a long way down. It has been there since 2011, which on this island makes it an institution, and it is built around one thing — the sunset — and a second it does very well: the party that carries on when the sun is gone.
A party every day, each with its theme
El Kabron runs a sunset party every day, with DJs and live performers, and picking the right day is most of the plan.
Wednesday and Sunday are the pool parties: DJs and live performances, with the adults-only pool and its daybeds at the centre of the day.
Thursday is the Afro House sunset: Afro House DJ sets with drums, saxophone and violin.
Friday is the White Sunset Party, with a white dress code.
Saturday is the Sunset Party of the Week, and Monday and Tuesday the Hedonist Sunset Party. Every day has its party; what changes is the theme.
Daybeds and tables
A daybed or sofa in the Hedonism Lounge, the adults-only pool area, for a small group, with a minimum spend for the day. The front row is the scarce thing at El Kabron: book it rather than hoping to walk in, and earlier still for a party day in high season.
A dinner table at the Sunset Theater, at the cliff edge, or in the restaurant, for the sunset and the Mediterranean menu: a reservation worth making on its own.
A party table on the party days, booked the same way as the daybeds.
The venue sets the minimum spend for each area, day and party. FirstBali asks for your date and passes on the confirmed amount; nothing is quoted before that.
Getting there
Uluwatu is the far end of the island, and sunset is when everyone drives there. Leave earlier than feels reasonable. For the way home, plan ahead: El Kabron says ride-hailing services may only drop off there, and only local taxis may pick up. Book a driver for the return when you book the seat.
The rest of the cliff
El Kabron sits a short drive from the peninsula's other sunsets and from Savaya, which makes the natural Uluwatu evening: sunset here, the night there.

How FirstBali books it
Tell the concierge the day, how many you are and whether it is a sunset daybed, dinner or the party. El Kabron confirms availability and the real minimum for that day; you decide. The seat is confirmed only when El Kabron confirms it; the deposit, if one is asked, and the car home are handled in the same conversation.
