Best beach clubs in Bali, area by area
Bali's beach clubs sit in five areas: Berawa in Canggu, Uluwatu, Kuta, Nusa Dua and Tabanan. Which club is where, what each is like, who it suits, and how to book a daybed.

The best beach club in Bali depends on the area you are staying in and the day you want. Berawa, in Canggu, has the two big party names, Atlas and Finns; Uluwatu has El Kabron on the cliffs and family-friendly White Rock on Melasti Beach; Kuta has Zumana; Nusa Dua has Le Bleu; and Tabanan has Luna, on the cliffs west of Canggu. Pick the area first: the drive between them is the real cost of a beach club day.
Canggu and Berawa: the big party clubs
Berawa Beach is where most first-time visitors spend their first beach club afternoon, and the two names there could hardly be more different in scale and mood.
Atlas Beach Club bills itself as the biggest beach club in the world. Its signature beanbags sit on the sand facing the sea, beside a vast pool and a pool bar where DJs play through the day. Seating is split into zones, from The Deck restaurant overlooking the beach to the Party Side in front of the stage, and there are daily shows built on the four elements, a beachfront padel court and a flying fox. It suits a big group that wants spectacle and something to do between drinks.
Finns Beach Club stretches along the beachfront under a bamboo structure designed by PBM Architecture. It is adults-only, with several party zones, pools, swim-up bars and private cabanas, and resident DJs and live singers keep the party going every day. Finns also enforces a strict no face and head tattoo policy, with, in its own words, "no exceptions". It suits adults who came for the party.

Daily shows draw on the four elements, and a beachfront padel court and a 100-metre flying fox complete the site.

For something calmer on the same coast, The Beach House at Regent Bali Canggu, on Batu Bolong, pairs a pool and the ocean breeze with craft cocktails and seafood. See Atlas and Finns for photos and booking.
Uluwatu: cliffs and a beach below them
El Kabron is filed as a beach club, but it stands on the limestone cliffs of Pecatu, above the Indian Ocean. It has three parts: the Hedonism Lounge, an adults-only infinity-pool area with daybeds and sofas; the Sunset Theater at the cliff edge, set up for sunset dinners; and a Mediterranean restaurant. The venue calls itself adult-oriented: children are allowed in the restaurant only, and the pool is for over-18s. Its sunset parties pair DJs with live saxophone, violin and trumpet.
White Rock Beach Club sits on Melasti Beach in Ungasan, at the end of the cliff. Daybeds, sofas and cabanas surround a lagoon pool and a rock pool, and its own FAQ calls it "a family-friendly destination", with a kids' pool and a kids' menu. There is a spa, a large covered restaurant, air-conditioned party suites over the pool, resident DJs every day and foam parties at weekends.

Booking a daybed
Some beach clubs can be walked into without a booking, but the daybeds and cabanas facing the water are reserved, and they go first at weekends and in high season. Each comes with a minimum spend that the venue sets for the seat, the day and the season. Tell the concierge the club, the date and your group size: FirstBali asks the venue, passes on its terms, and the daybed is yours once the venue confirms it. The car back can be arranged in the same message, through transport.
