Kaba-Kaba villa rental: rice fields west of Canggu

Kaba-Kaba is a village in the Kediri district of Tabanan, west of Canggu, surrounded by wide rice fields and close to Tanah Lot and Nyanyi Beach. Where Kaba-Kaba is

Kaba-Kaba sits just over the regency line from Badung, in Tabanan, inland and west of Canggu and Pererenan. A study published in the Widyadari journal describes the village through Puri Gede Kaba-Kaba (a puri is a Balinese palace), which it counts among the village's cultural attractions, "a very wide expanse of rice fields" around it, and visitors touring the village by bicycle or on foot along those fields. The same study places it close to Tanah Lot and to Nyanyi Beach.

That is the trade: you are out of Canggu's traffic and noise, in a landscape of fields rather than cafés, and you drive in when you want the coast.

Who Kaba-Kaba suits

It suits less well a stay where you want to walk to dinner or go out every night. For that, look at Canggu or Pererenan.

Going out from Kaba-Kaba

Being west of Canggu puts two kinds of evening on the map:

• Luna Beach Club, on the Tabanan cliffs inside Nuanu Creative City by Nyanyi Beach, with pools, a water slide, DJs through sunset and fire and light shows in the evening.
• Canggu and Berawa: FINNS Beach Club on the Berawa beachfront, and Desa Kitsuné, the Savaya Group's village in Canggu, whose Garden becomes a party every Tuesday and Friday, rain or shine. Its parties are 21+ with a valid photo ID.

Luna Beach Club se asienta sobre los acantilados de la costa de Tabanan, dentro de Nuanu Creative City, junto a Nyanyi Beach, al oeste de Canggu. Su arquitectura de bambú, obra de Inspiral Architects, obtuvo un premio de plata en la categoría de arquitectura sostenible y ecológica en los International Architecture & Design Awards 2024. El complejo reúne dos piscinas, plataformas de salto y un tobogán acuático, Restaurant 369, el Utopia Cave Club y las cápsulas de bambú suspendidas en los árboles de Gardenia. Los DJ pinchan durante todo el atardecer y, por la noche, llegan los espectáculos de fuego y luces.

FINNS Beach Club se extiende a lo largo de la playa de Berawa, en Canggu, bajo una estructura de bambú diseñada por PBM Architecture. Reservado exclusivamente para adultos, se divide en varias zonas de fiesta, desde FINNS Beach Party y FINNS Garden Party hasta FINNS Grey Goose Party y FINNS VIP Party, con piscinas, bares dentro del agua, cabañas privadas, pistas de baile y restaurantes repartidos por todo el recinto. DJ residentes y cantantes en directo mantienen la fiesta viva durante todo el día, cada día, y el club también acoge eventos privados, cumpleaños y grupos corporativos.

Getting around

From a village among rice fields, you will want a car. A driver for nights out means nobody in the group has to drive back along dark field roads; our driver for a night out guide explains how it works, and the concierge checks what can be arranged through transport, including the airport transfer on arrival.

How to ask

Send the concierge your dates, the number of guests (adults and children), the occasion if there is one, and anything you need in the house. FirstBali asks the owner, and the stay is confirmed only when the owner confirms it; if a deposit is asked, it follows the owner's terms and is not a confirmation on its own. An assistant answers at any hour, and the team works through the Bali day and evening.
