Driver for a night out in Bali: the car, there and back

The simplest way to do a big night in Bali is to book the ride home before you leave: a car with a driver picks the group up at the villa, drops you at the door and brings everyone back together. Why a driver, for a night out

Bali's best nights are spread across the island. Savaya and El Kabron sit on the Pecatu cliffs in Uluwatu, Zumana at Sunset Bay in Kuta, Desa Kitsuné in Canggu, and Luna Beach Club on the Tabanan coast west of Canggu. Rarely is the night you want next to where you sleep.

A driver solves the three problems a night out creates:

  • The way there. One car, one address, nobody left behind. The driver knows where the entrance is.
  • The way back. The hardest ride of the night to find is the last one. A car arranged in advance means no one negotiates at the door.
  • The group. A group that arrives together stays together — and at the Savaya Group venues, mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred.

Dinner first, then the club

The best use of a driver is an evening with two addresses. Dinner in Berawa at Miss Fish or MOI, then the club; a sunset at El Kabron, then Savaya along the same cliffs; dinner at Ina Ré, then the Desa Kitsuné garden next door. With a car for the evening, nobody waits on the roadside between the two, and the group arrives at the club as it left the restaurant: together.

Planning the night, venue by venue

Savaya

The clifftop at Pecatu is the night most worth a driver: the far south of the island, a big crowd at the end, and a strict door (21+, smart casual, valid photo ID). Bags are searched and lockers are limited, so leave anything bulky in the car if the driver is waiting — the concierge checks what can be arranged. Getting to Savaya has the rest.

Zumana

How to ask

Send the concierge:

  1. The date and the night you are planning.
  2. The pick-up address and the size of the group.
  3. Whether you want a one-way drop, a return later, or a car for the whole evening — dinner first, then the club.

The concierge comes back with the car and the amount. Nothing is booked until you say yes, and a table at the venue is yours once the venue confirms it. An assistant answers at any hour; the team works through the Bali day and evening.
