Canggu villa rental: what to expect from the area
Renting a villa in Canggu, Pererenan or Berawa: surf mornings, coffee, beach clubs and Desa Kitsuné's garden parties nearby, and how FirstBali finds a villa for your dates.
Updated October 21, 2026 · 4 min read

A villa in Canggu means surf mornings, good coffee and a beach club night whenever you feel like one, with Desa Kitsuné's garden parties in the neighbourhood. FirstBali lists villas in Canggu and next door in Pererenan and Berawa on the villas page, with rates on request: tell the concierge your dates and group, and the team comes back with what the owner confirms.
Canggu, Pererenan, Berawa: three bases in one area
On the villas page, FirstBali sorts this stretch of the south-west coast into three neighbourhoods, each with its own pace:
- Canggu: surf mornings, the best coffee, and a beach club night whenever you feel like one.
- Pererenan: quieter than Canggu, right next door.
- Berawa: between Canggu and Seminyak, for beach clubs, gyms and long lunches.
The choice between them is mostly about noise and how close you want the evening to be. Pererenan suits a group that wants calm nights at the villa and goes out by choice; Berawa suits one that wants the beach clubs on the doorstep; Canggu sits in between. Our where to stay guide compares these with the rest of the island.
Who a Canggu villa suits
- Groups of friends, for whom a shared pool and a night out nearby are the plan; our group villa guide covers the details.
- Couples who want restaurants and bars close by rather than isolation.
- People who train or surf: the area has gyms, recovery clubs and breaks.
- Longer stays, where cafés and everyday life matter as much as the view.
If what you want is clifftops and big sunsets above the ocean, the Uluwatu villa guide describes the Bukit instead.
Nights out near a Canggu villa
Desa Kitsuné is a lifestyle village in the heart of Canggu, set in a large garden by the Savaya Group with the French-Japanese brand Maison Kitsuné. Café Kitsuné, the Ina Ré restaurant and a Maison Kitsuné boutique share the grounds, and every Tuesday and Friday the garden becomes the party, rain or shine: guest DJs on Tuesdays, Bali-based DJs on Fridays. Parties are 21+ with photo ID, smart casual.

Each night has its own terms on its page: some open the venue's guestlist, where each guest registers individually and gets a digital ticket by email; some are ticketed only. Registering does not guarantee entry, and a table, booked through FirstBali with the venue, is yours once the venue confirms it. More in our Desa Kitsuné guide.
Further afield, Savaya on the Uluwatu clifftop and Zumana at Sunset Bay in Kuta are the other two Savaya Group nights; a car with a driver makes either an easy evening from a Canggu villa.

It is adults-only and divided into several party zones, from FINNS Beach Party and FINNS Garden Party to FINNS Grey Goose Party and FINNS VIP Party, with pools, swim-up bars, private cabanas, dance floors and restaurants spread across the site. Regent Bali Canggu
Restaurants · Canggu
Regent Bali Canggu is IHG's beachfront resort on Batu Bolong, on Canggu's southwest coast, and the first Regent in Indonesia. Designed by WATG with interiors by HBA, it has 150 rooms and suites. Two of its restaurants are led by Chef Andrew Walsh: Sazón, a Mediterranean neighbourhood hideaway, and CURE Bali, European cooking shaped by Asian flavours. The Beach House pairs its pool and ocean breeze with craft cocktails and seafood, and the resort is home to the first Regent Spa & Wellness.
Ina Ré
Restaurants · Canggu
Ina Ré is the restaurant of Desa Kitsuné, the lifestyle village on Jalan Munduk Catu in Canggu. Chilean executive chef Cristian Encina brings together Mediterranean flavours and Latin American street food: paellas to share, ceviches, tacos, empanadas and wood-fired meats such as the Stockyard tomahawk. The space draws on Balinese arts and crafts, with handmade materials, weavings and traditional motifs, and includes private dining rooms for groups. Sunday brunch has its own menu, and so do Courtyard Saturdays.

What to ask before you choose
Canggu builds quickly, and a villa's surroundings can change between two seasons. Before you commit:
- What the villa backs onto: a road, a rice field or a building site.
- Bed layout rather than bedroom count, for a group of adults.
- Staff on site, their hours, and what is included.
- How you will get to dinner in the evening, not just to the beach.

How FirstBali books a Canggu villa
Send your dates, the number of guests and the area you prefer to the concierge. An assistant answers at any hour and the team follows up through the Bali day and evening. The rate is given on request for your dates, never estimated in advance, and the booking is confirmed only once the owner has confirmed it; any deposit follows the agreed terms and is not a confirmation. If you want a private chef at the villa or a table on your first night, say so in the same message: the concierge checks what can be arranged.
