Pererenan villa rental: quieter than Canggu, next door

Renting a villa in Pererenan: calmer nights next to Canggu, Desa Kitsuné's garden parties and Luna Beach Club nearby, and how FirstBali finds a villa for your dates.

Updated October 21, 2026 · 4 min read

A villa in Pererenan gives you Canggu's restaurants and parties next door with calmer nights at home: FirstBali's villas page calls it quieter than Canggu, where the locals moved to. Rates are given on request: tell the concierge your dates and group, and the team comes back with what the owner confirms.

Why people choose Pererenan

Pererenan is Canggu's quieter neighbour on the south-west coast. The villas page describes it in one line: quieter than Canggu, where the locals moved to. That is the whole appeal. You keep the cafés, the surf and the nights out of the Canggu area within reach, and you come back to a villa where the evening can end by the pool.

Pererenan suits:

  • Groups who want to go out by choice, not because the party is under the window. Our group villa guide covers the details.
  • Couples who want calm without isolation.
  • Families, for whom quieter streets matter. See our family trip guide.
  • Longer stays, where a neighbourhood that feels lived-in matters as much as the view.

If you want the beach clubs on the doorstep, the Berawa villa guide describes the livelier end of the coast; the Canggu villa guide covers the area as a whole. For clifftops instead, see the Uluwatu villa guide.

  • Regent Bali Canggu, IHG's beachfront resort on Batu Bolong, has CURE and Sazón by chef Andrew Walsh, the Beach House and the first Regent Spa & Wellness.
  • Giselle, on Jalan Tanah Barak, brings the Riviera to Bali with seafood, homemade pasta and plates for sharing; on Friday and Saturday nights, Club 55 takes over after dinner.

Ina Ré is the restaurant of Desa Kitsuné, the lifestyle village on Jalan Munduk Catu in Canggu. Chilean executive chef Cristian Encina brings together Mediterranean flavours and Latin American street food: paellas to share, ceviches, tacos, empanadas and wood-fired meats such as the Stockyard tomahawk. The space draws on Balinese arts and crafts, with handmade materials, weavings and traditional motifs, and includes private dining rooms for groups. Sunday brunch has its own menu, and so do Courtyard Saturdays.

Regent Bali Canggu is IHG's beachfront resort on Batu Bolong, on Canggu's southwest coast, and the first Regent in Indonesia. Designed by WATG with interiors by HBA, it has 150 rooms and suites. Two of its restaurants are led by Chef Andrew Walsh: Sazón, a Mediterranean neighbourhood hideaway, and CURE Bali, European cooking shaped by Asian flavours. The Beach House pairs its pool and ocean breeze with craft cocktails and seafood, and the resort is home to the first Regent Spa & Wellness.

Giselle is a Mediterranean restaurant on Jalan Tanah Barak in Canggu, created by a group of friends with deep roots in hospitality, who call it “a house for friends, strangers, and stories”. The mood is the Riviera brought to Bali, across a dining room and a courtyard. Seafood leads the menu, with crudos, a seafood platter, sea bream sashimi and flambéed fish, alongside homemade pasta and plates for sharing, built on local, responsibly sourced ingredients. On Friday and Saturday nights, Club 55 takes over after dinner.

Days near a Pererenan villa

West of Canggu, on the Tabanan coast, Luna Beach Club is perched on the cliffs inside Nuanu Creative City by Nyanyi Beach. Its bamboo architecture by Inspiral Architects won a Silver award for sustainable and green architecture at the 2024 International Architecture & Design Awards; the complex has two pools, jumping platforms and a water slide, a restaurant, the Utopia Cave Club and the Gardenia bamboo tree pods, with DJs through sunset.

For a training day, Reload Sanctuary in Canggu is a training and recovery club with a gym, a HYROX zone, classes, and a recovery area with sauna, steam room, ice baths and pool. Adults only.

The partner clubs from a Pererenan villa

Desa Kitsuné, in the heart of Canggu, is the obvious night out from Pererenan. The Savaya Group built it with the French-Japanese brand Maison Kitsuné; Café Kitsuné, Ina Ré and a boutique share the garden, and every Tuesday and Friday it becomes the party, rain or shine: guest DJs on Tuesdays, Bali-based DJs on Fridays.

Savaya on the Uluwatu clifftop and Zumana at Sunset Bay in Kuta are the group's other two nights; a car with a driver makes either an easy evening from Pererenan. DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs named Savaya number one in Asia from 2024 to 2026 and fifth in the world in 2026.

All three are 21+ with a valid photo ID. Each night has its own terms on its page: some open the venue's guestlist, where each guest registers individually and gets a digital ticket by email; some are ticketed only. Registering does not guarantee entry, and a table, booked through FirstBali with the venue, is yours once the venue confirms it.

What to ask before you choose

Quiet is the reason to pick Pererenan, so check it holds for the house itself:

  1. What the villa backs onto: a rice field, a lane or a building site.
  2. Neighbours: a bar or venue next door changes everything.
  3. Bed layout rather than bedroom count, for a group of adults.
  4. Staff on site, their hours, and what is included.

How FirstBali books a Pererenan villa

Send your dates, the number of guests and what matters most to the concierge. An assistant answers at any hour and the team follows up through the Bali day and evening. The rate is given on request for your dates, never estimated in advance, and the booking is confirmed only once the owner has confirmed it; any deposit follows the agreed terms and is not a confirmation. If you want a private chef or a table at Desa Kitsuné, say so in the same message: the concierge checks what can be arranged.
