Reload Sanctuary is a training and recovery club in Canggu — a gym, a class studio, a recovery area with sauna and ice baths, and a healthy restaurant — not a beach club or a nightclub. It is adults only (18+), with no children allowed. And it is not members-only: day passes give a visitor the gym, the group classes and the recovery area, and the restaurant, Reload Kitchen, is open to members and visitors alike.
What Reload Sanctuary is
The club sits on Jalan Canggu Padang Linjong, and it was brought to Bali by the team behind Reload Gym in Jakarta; LDS Group is named on the club's own site as its developer. The building is by Andra Matin, whom the club calls one of Indonesia's most respected contemporary architects, and whom it describes as working with two kinds of form — straight lines for strength and structure, curves for flexibility — and with greenery and trees woven into the building. Training floors are open-air, and there is a rooftop above the rice fields.
Who can go in
This is the question most people ask, so here is the plain answer from the club's own pages:
- No membership is needed to train. Reload sells a one-day pass, a three-day pass and a weekly pass, plus a Sunrise pass for early risers and a Sunset pass for the evening. A day pass includes the gym, the group classes and the recovery and wellness area.
- Memberships (monthly and longer) add unlimited classes, gym and recovery access for people staying a while. Passes and memberships are personal and cannot be shared.
- Reload Kitchen is open to everyone, members and visitors alike, from breakfast to dinner. The club says dinner seating is by reservation.
- Adults only. The club states 18+ only and no kids, so this is not a family stop.
The club sets the price and the terms of each pass; FirstBali does not quote them.
Training
The main floor is a full strength and conditioning gym, with a dedicated functional fitness and HYROX zone and a rooftop outdoor training area. Classes cover HYROX and functional fitness, strength and conditioning, boxing, Pilates, flowing yoga and gentler Yin and recovery yoga, HIIT and mobility, plus a community Run & Recover session. Personal training is available one to one.
Two practical rules: classes are booked in advance through the Reload app, which shows the live schedule; the gym takes walk-ins, subject to capacity. Bring training clothes and shoes; the equipment is provided. No experience is needed — the coaches adapt sessions to your level, and the club suggests a day pass as the way to try it before committing to anything longer.
Recovery
The recovery and wellness area has an ice bath, a cold plunge, a sauna, a steam room, a recovery pool and a quiet meditation area. It is included in day passes and memberships alike. Around the pool, cabanas are first come, first served and cannot be reserved, and the club asks that daybeds are not left unattended for long. Vaping is allowed only by the pool.
Reload Kitchen
The restaurant serves fresh, nutrient-dense food built on clean ingredients and balanced macros: smoothie bowls, power salads, protein mains and healthy desserts. You can order at the counter or from your table through the Reload app. It is in-club dining only — there is no delivery — and outside food and drinks are not allowed in. At busy times, the larger communal tables may be shared.
Events
Reload runs community and wellness events, from social gatherings to sound-healing sessions. They change from month to month, so ask the concierge what is coming up for your dates.
How FirstBali helps
FirstBali lists Reload Sanctuary because guests ask for it: for a table at Reload Kitchen, tell the concierge the day and how many you are, and FirstBali passes on the club's answer. For passes, classes or a personal-training session, which the club sells and books itself, tell the concierge what you are after and the team checks what can be arranged. Nothing is confirmed until the club confirms it. Our assistant replies at any hour; the team picks up through the Bali day and evening.
Canggu's lanes are busy, and a car or a scooter makes a training routine easier: see getting around Bali and the scooter licence rules. After a session, a slower meal nearby could be Zai Cafe on Batu Bolong.
