Celebration dinner in Bali: from quiet toast to party
A celebration dinner in Bali, chosen by how festive it should be: a quiet table at Koral, a private room at Ina Ré, a dinner with DJs at Akar, or Sardine then the club next door. Then, if wanted, a club table.

For a celebration dinner in Bali, choose the restaurant by how festive the evening should be: a calm room for a toast, such as Koral in Nusa Dua; a private room for the group at Ina Ré inside Desa Kitsuné; a dinner that turns into a show at Akar on Fridays and Saturdays; or Sardine in Seminyak, with the club Les Toilettes at the same address. A promotion, a graduation, a signed deal or simply good news — the occasion matters less than the volume you want.
Decide the volume first
Every celebration sits somewhere between a quiet toast and a party. Say where yours sits before choosing the place, and say it to the guests too, so nobody arrives dressed for the wrong evening. A birthday has its own guide, the birthday dinner guide; this one is for every other reason to raise a glass.
A quiet toast
- Koral, the aquarium restaurant at The Apurva Kempinski in Nusa Dua, serves set and tasting menus beside the tanks, adults only at dinner.
- El Kabron's Sunset Theater, on the cliffs of Pecatu in Uluwatu, is set up for sunset dinners at the cliff edge.
The Apurva Kempinski
Restaurants · Nusa Dua
The Apurva Kempinski Bali is a five-star resort on the cliffs of Nusa Dua, facing the Indian Ocean, and its dining spreads across several venues. Koral, which the hotel presents as Bali's first aquarium restaurant, serves set and tasting menus beside the tanks, adults only at dinner. Izakaya by OKU is a sister to OKU in Jakarta; Reef Beach Club sits on the sand beside a 42-metre infinity pool; Bai Yun serves hot pot and dim sum; L'Atelier by Cyril Kongo is a lounge with ocean views and Mediterranean tapas.
El Kabron
Beach clubs · Uluwatu
El Kabron stands on the limestone cliffs of Pecatu in Uluwatu, above the Indian Ocean, and has been open since 2011. It has three parts: the Hedonism Lounge, an adults-only infinity-pool area with daybeds and sofas; the Sunset Theater at the cliff edge, set up for sunset dinners; and a Mediterranean restaurant serving seafood, oysters, paella and steak. Its sunset parties bring DJs with live saxophone, violin and trumpet, with the White Sunset Party, the Afro House Sunset Party and pool parties among the weekly regulars.
A room of your own
Ina Ré, the restaurant of Desa Kitsuné in Canggu, has private dining rooms for groups. Its chef brings together Mediterranean flavours and Latin American street food, with paellas to share and wood-fired meats. The setting draws on Balinese arts and crafts, with handmade materials and weavings. On a Tuesday or a Friday, the garden outside becomes the party after dinner. See Ina Ré's private dining.
A dinner that becomes a show
- Akar, the K Club steakhouse in the jungle north of Ubud, grills over charcoal on two floors with two bars and an open kitchen. On Friday and Saturday nights dinner turns festive, with live DJs, dancers and a laser show. Akar has won Best Luxury Steakhouse in Indonesia at the World Luxury Restaurant Awards, as it states.
- Miss Fish, in Berawa, serves a seasonal omakase at its Omakase Bar, an onyx counter, or shared plates in the Lounge; later in the evening DJs take over. Dress is smart casual.
Akar
Restaurants · Ubud
Akar, meaning “root”, is the steakhouse of K Club in Kedisan, Tegallalang, north of Ubud, set in the greenery of the jungle. Spread over two floors with two bars and an open kitchen, it grills Australian and Japanese cuts, Wagyu included, over charcoal, alongside seafood, charcoal-roasted bone marrow and a curated wine list. On Friday and Saturday nights dinner turns festive, with live DJs, dancers and a laser show. Akar has won Best Luxury Steakhouse in Indonesia at the World Luxury Restaurant Awards.
Miss Fish
Restaurants · Berawa
Miss Fish is a Japanese restaurant and late-night venue on Jalan Raya Semat in Berawa, Canggu, open since 2022. Executive Chef Carlos Barvo leads a seasonal omakase that pairs Japanese technique with European and Latin American influences. Guests choose between the Omakase Bar, a chef-guided onyx counter, the open-air Patio and the Lounge for cocktails and shared plates, and the bar holds more than 40 sakes and Japanese whiskies. Later in the evening, DJs take over. Dress code: smart casual.

Dinner, then the club next door
Sardine, in Seminyak, cooks the daily catch in a modern Mediterranean style in an open-air bamboo building over the rice paddies. Les Toilettes, the K-Club Group's nightclub, shares its address, so the celebration can move from the table to the dance floor without a car. At Zumana, at Sunset Bay in Kuta, the restaurant is Manuza, inside a beach club that is open daily.
Sardine
Restaurants · Seminyak
Sardine by K-Club is a seafood restaurant on Jalan Petitenget in Seminyak, set in an open-air bamboo building that looks over a stretch of rice paddies, with a terrace for lunch or dinner. The kitchen cooks the daily catch (yellowfin tuna, scallops, snapper) in a modern Mediterranean style, with vegetables from its own farms and a vegetarian set menu. Evenings can run late: Les Toilettes, the hidden club on site, hosts DJs, and once a month The Gates of Bali brings fire dancers and aerial acts.
Les Toilettes
Clubs · Seminyak
Les Toilettes is the K-Club Group's nightclub on Jalan Petitenget in Seminyak, at the same address as Sardine, the group's seafood restaurant, so dinner and a late night can happen in one place. Now in its 2.0 version, the club draws on club concepts from around the world. Entry is for guests aged 21 and over, at the door's discretion, and the dress code is smart: no flip-flops, sandals or sportswear.
Zumana
Beach clubs · Kuta
Zumana is a beach club at Sunset Bay in Kuta, a Savaya Group property designed by Rockwell Group around beachfront daybeds, poolside spaces, bars and an open-air dance floor. Its centrepiece is ZENÍA, "The Eternal Host", a 10-metre sculpture by Daniel Popper made with Balinese artisans from Ubud, and its restaurant is Manuza. Open daily: Zumana Sunday, Monday and Tuesday every week, headliners on Wednesdays and Fridays, Ritual of the Sun on Saturdays. 21+, smart casual.
When the dinner leads to a club table
If the celebration should end at a club, book the table with the dinner. At Savaya, Zumana and Desa Kitsuné, a table is the only reserved space, its minimum spend is set by the venue for that night, and at Savaya and Zumana it includes food and beverage credit. All three are 21+ with a valid photo ID, a passport or a driver's licence, and dress is smart casual.

The extras
Tell the concierge what you have in mind: a cake, a message on the plate, a few words before the main course. We ask the venue what it can do, and nothing is promised until the venue says yes. If it is a surprise for one of the guests, say so when you write.
Getting the table home
A Toyota Alphard with driver, or a Toyota Hiace Premio van for a larger group, can wait through dinner and the night. See the driver for a night out guide.
How FirstBali arranges it
Tell the concierge the occasion, the date, the number of guests and the volume you want. We ask the restaurant and, if needed, the club; the table is yours once the venue confirms it, and any deposit follows the venue's terms and is not a confirmation. An assistant answers at any hour, and the team follows up through the Bali day and evening.
