Luxury weekend in Bali: a three-day plan by mood

A luxury weekend in Bali: a beach club cabana and a serious dinner, a private yacht and a cliff-top sunset, a big night, then a spa. A three-day plan built on venues FirstBali books.

Updated October 15, 2026 · 4 min read

A luxury weekend in Bali is three days with one mood each: the beach and the grill on the first, the sea and the cliffs on the second, the spa and a long lunch on the third. Base yourself in a private villa, keep a car with driver for the whole weekend, and book the scarce things — the cabana, the yacht, the table — before you land. Here is the plan, built only on places FirstBali books.

Before the weekend: the base and the car

Choose one base and do not move it. A staffed villa makes the weekend feel like a private hotel; browse our villas, and read the staffed villa guide for who does what. Split the plan by area so that you never cross the island twice in one day.

The car sets the tone. FirstBali's limousines with driver — a Rolls-Royce Ghost, a Mercedes-Benz S400, a BMW 730Li — are arranged on request through the concierge, and the Toyota Alphard with driver is the easy everyday choice. If you would rather drive yourself, read the supercar rental guide.

Day one — the beach, then the grill

Start where Bali's beach clubs are at their biggest. In Berawa, Finns Beach Club has private cabanas and swim-up bars on an adults-only beachfront, and Atlas Beach Club puts beanbags on the sand beside a vast pool. Reserve the cabana or the daybed; the seat is the luxury.

Dinner is serious. Aged & Butchered in Berawa has a meat library of dry-aged cuts, grilled over coffee-wood charcoal, with yakiniku-style grills at the table where the chefs cook in front of you, and a sake fountain. Or take a seat at the onyx counter of Miss Fish for a seasonal omakase. End the night behind the unmarked door of The Shady Pig, a speakeasy where you need the password to get in.

Aged & Butchered

Aged & Butchered

Restaurants · Berawa

Aged & Butchered Bali is the island branch of the Jakarta dry-aged steakhouse of the same name, run by MDA Restaurants inside The Komu hotel in Berawa. The draw is its meat library of dry-aged cuts, grilled over coffee-wood charcoal, with Japanese yakiniku-style grills at the table where the chefs cook in front of guests. The moody, stylish room adds a sake fountain, an extensive wine collection and an outdoor bar area. An address built around the grill, for an evening of serious steak.

Miss Fish

Miss Fish

Restaurants · Berawa

Miss Fish is a Japanese restaurant and late-night venue on Jalan Raya Semat in Berawa, Canggu, open since 2022. Executive Chef Carlos Barvo leads a seasonal omakase that pairs Japanese technique with European and Latin American influences. Guests choose between the Omakase Bar, a chef-guided onyx counter, the open-air Patio and the Lounge for cocktails and shared plates, and the bar holds more than 40 sakes and Japanese whiskies. Later in the evening, DJs take over. Dress code: smart casual.

The Shady Pig

The Shady Pig

Bars · Berawa

The Shady Pig is a speakeasy on Jalan Pantai Berawa and the original bar of The Shady Family, the group behind The Shady Fox, The Shady Flamingo and The Shady Bunny. The theme is 1920s Birmingham bootleggers: the bar hides behind an unmarked door, and you need the password to get in. Cocktails lean experimental, using distillation, barrel ageing and fermentation, from the Shelby to a barrel-aged Negroni. Small plates, pinchos and sandwiches come with the drinks, and DJs take over later in the night.

If the first night is a Friday, the party is close by: Desa Kitsuné's Garden turns into the party every Tuesday and Friday, and Zumana at Sunset Bay has headliners on Wednesdays and Fridays. Both are 21+ and smart casual.

Day two — the sea, then the cliffs

Spend the day on a yacht that is yours alone. The full-day island hopping trip crosses to Nusa Penida for Manta Point, Crystal Bay and snorkelling, with crew, guide, gear, drinks and snacks included; Manta rays, Nusa Penida is the half-day version. Keep the weekend flexible in case the sea does not cooperate. More in the Nusa Penida private boat guide.

Back on land, watch the sun go down from the cliffs. El Kabron's Sunset Theater, at the cliff edge in Uluwatu, is set up for sunset dinners and is adults-only; Rock Bar, on the rocks at AYANA in Jimbaran, is reached by inclinator.

On a Saturday, the night belongs to Savaya, the club on the Uluwatu cliffs with international headliners at weekends. Book a table: it is the only reserved space on a headline night. Strictly 21+, smart casual. Closer to Canggu, Riviera turns into PRÏVE on Saturdays, and Giselle hands over to Club 55 after dinner on Fridays and Saturdays.

Day three — the spa and a long lunch

The last day is slow on purpose. Regent Bali Canggu is home to the first Regent Spa & Wellness, at its beachfront resort on Batu Bolong. For something more bracing, Reload Sanctuary has a recovery area with sauna, steam room, ice baths, cold plunge and pool, for adults (18+).

Then lunch that takes the afternoon. On a Sunday, Ina Ré at Desa Kitsuné serves its own brunch menu, and Le Bleu on Nusa Dua beach — blue and white, seafood from lobster linguine to yellowfin tuna tataki — holds festive Sunday gatherings with a DJ. For the final dinner, Koral, the aquarium restaurant at The Apurva Kempinski, is adults-only in the evening.

Ina Ré

Ina Ré

Restaurants · Canggu

Ina Ré is the restaurant of Desa Kitsuné, the lifestyle village on Jalan Munduk Catu in Canggu. Chilean executive chef Cristian Encina brings together Mediterranean flavours and Latin American street food: paellas to share, ceviches, tacos, empanadas and wood-fired meats such as the Stockyard tomahawk. The space draws on Balinese arts and crafts, with handmade materials, weavings and traditional motifs, and includes private dining rooms for groups. Sunday brunch has its own menu, and so do Courtyard Saturdays.

Le Bleu

Le Bleu

Beach clubs · Nusa Dua

Le Bleu by K Club is a beachfront restaurant and beach club on Nusa Dua Beach, in the ITDC resort area, run by the K-Club Group. The look is French Riviera by way of Bali, all blue and white, with sunbeds, cabanas, terraces and an indoor dining room. The kitchen leans on seafood, from lobster linguine to yellowfin tuna tataki, with vegetarian and vegan options. The weekly programme mixes yoga, cocktail workshops, beach games and festive Sunday gatherings with a DJ.

The Apurva Kempinski

The Apurva Kempinski

Restaurants · Nusa Dua

The Apurva Kempinski Bali is a five-star resort on the cliffs of Nusa Dua, facing the Indian Ocean, and its dining spreads across several venues. Koral, which the hotel presents as Bali's first aquarium restaurant, serves set and tasting menus beside the tanks, adults only at dinner. Izakaya by OKU is a sister to OKU in Jakarta; Reef Beach Club sits on the sand beside a 42-metre infinity pool; Bai Yun serves hot pot and dim sum; L'Atelier by Cyril Kongo is a lounge with ocean views and Mediterranean tapas.

Which weekend to choose

The days of the week change the plan more than the season does. A Friday arrival gives you Desa Kitsuné or Zumana that night; a Saturday is Savaya's; a Sunday is for brunch and the beach. Check what is on this weekend or the events page before fixing the dates.

How FirstBali arranges it

Tell the concierge your dates, where you are staying and the moods you want. We ask each venue, boat and car owner on your behalf; each piece is yours once they confirm it, and any minimum spend or deposit comes from the venue before you decide. An assistant replies at any hour, and the team follows up during its working hours.
