Three nights in Bali: a short nightlife itinerary

Three nights, three areas: a garden party at Desa Kitsuné in Canggu, the beach at Zumana in Kuta, the clifftop at Savaya. How to order them by the day you land, and what to book first.

Three nights in Bali is enough for one night in each of the island's three party areas: a garden party at Desa Kitsuné in Canggu, the beach at Zumana in Sunset Bay, Kuta, and the clifftop at Savaya in Uluwatu. The order depends on the day you land, because each venue runs its own weekly programme; keep the biggest night for the middle or the end, and book a table there first if you want one. Below: the three nights, then the order for your dates.

Before you plan: three rules for a short stay

  • One venue per night. The three clubs are in three different areas, and at Savaya and Zumana re-entry is only possible with a table. A short stay is no reason to rush between them; club hopping in Bali explains why.
  • Your first night is the lightest. After a long flight, a dinner and an early finish beats a headliner you will not enjoy. Your first night in Bali covers it.
  • Book the one thing that is limited. A table is the only reserved space at these clubs, set by the venue per night; guestlists are free and each guest registers individually on the night's page.

The Canggu night: Desa Kitsuné

Desa Kitsuné is a Savaya Group "village" in Canggu, with Ina Ré, Café Kitsuné and the Maison Kitsuné boutique on the same grounds. Its garden parties run on Tuesday and Friday, "rain or shine". The easy version of this night is dinner at Ina Ré, which pairs Mediterranean flavours with Latin American street food, then the garden without moving. On another day of the week, Canggu still works for a dinner: Giselle, Regent or Reload Sanctuary, with The Shady Pig, a speakeasy behind an unmarked door in Berawa, for a drink after.

Desa Kitsuné

Desa Kitsuné

Clubs · Canggu

Desa Kitsuné is a lifestyle village in the heart of Canggu — desa means village — set in a 5,000 m² garden by the Savaya Group with the French-Japanese brand Maison Kitsuné. Café Kitsuné, the Ina Ré restaurant and a Maison Kitsuné boutique share the grounds, and every Tuesday and Friday the Garden becomes the party, rain or shine: guest DJs on Tuesdays, Bali-based DJs on Fridays. Parties are 21+, smart casual.

Ina Ré

Ina Ré

Restaurants · Canggu

Ina Ré is the restaurant of Desa Kitsuné, the lifestyle village on Jalan Munduk Catu in Canggu. Chilean executive chef Cristian Encina brings together Mediterranean flavours and Latin American street food: paellas to share, ceviches, tacos, empanadas and wood-fired meats such as the Stockyard tomahawk. The space draws on Balinese arts and crafts, with handmade materials, weavings and traditional motifs, and includes private dining rooms for groups. Sunday brunch has its own menu, and so do Courtyard Saturdays.

The Shady Pig

The Shady Pig

Bars · Berawa

The Shady Pig is a speakeasy on Jalan Pantai Berawa and the original bar of The Shady Family, the group behind The Shady Fox, The Shady Flamingo and The Shady Bunny. The theme is 1920s Birmingham bootleggers: the bar hides behind an unmarked door, and you need the password to get in. Cocktails lean experimental, using distillation, barrel ageing and fermentation, from the Shelby to a barrel-aged Negroni. Small plates, pinchos and sandwiches come with the drinks, and DJs take over later in the night.

The Kuta night: Zumana

Zumana sits at Sunset Bay in Kuta, a Savaya Group property. Saturday is Ritual of the Sun, Sunday is Zumana Sunday, and the weeknights rotate, among them Made in Kuta. It is the beach night of the three: sand, sea and the sunset. See the Zumana guide for the venue itself.

The clifftop night: Savaya

Savaya is on the Uluwatu and Pecatu clifftop, and DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs poll ranks it first in Asia and fifth in the world, as Savaya reports. Monday is Last Light, a sunset set from The Cube; weekends bring headliners; Sundays are People of the Sun. If one of your three nights is the big one, it is usually this one. Before or instead, Rock Bar in Jimbaran and El Kabron in Pecatu are two cliffside sunsets nearby.

Savaya Bali

Savaya Bali

Clubs · Uluwatu

Savaya is a clifftop club in Pecatu, Uluwatu, set 100 metres above the Indian Ocean between jungle and limestone cliffs, with pools and The Cube, the landmark that frames its horizon. Named the number-one club in Asia three years running (2024–2026) and fifth in the world in 2026 in DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs, it is open daily: Last Light every Monday, weekday nights, and international headliners at weekends. Strictly 21+, smart casual.

Rock Bar

Rock Bar

Bars · Jimbaran

Rock Bar is AYANA Bali's cliffside bar in Jimbaran, stretching some 270 metres along the rocks above the ocean, with 880 seats spread over 22 areas. Guests reach it by inclinator, watch the sun set over the sea, then stay as the DJs play on. The bar pours cocktails inspired by the colours of the sea alongside Mediterranean tapas built on Jimbaran Bay seafood. Non-resident visitors can reserve; the Round Deck is kept for villa guests and the Top Bar for hotel guests. Payment by card or QR only.

El Kabron

El Kabron

Beach clubs · Uluwatu

El Kabron stands on the limestone cliffs of Pecatu in Uluwatu, above the Indian Ocean, and has been open since 2011. It has three parts: the Hedonism Lounge, an adults-only infinity-pool area with daybeds and sofas; the Sunset Theater at the cliff edge, set up for sunset dinners; and a Mediterranean restaurant serving seafood, oysters, paella and steak. Its sunset parties bring DJs with live saxophone, violin and trumpet, with the White Sunset Party, the Afro House Sunset Party and pool parties among the weekly regulars.

The order, by the day you land

Use the weekly programmes to sequence the three nights, then check each night's own page on the events calendar:

  • Landing on a Thursday: Desa Kitsuné on Friday, Ritual of the Sun at Zumana on Saturday, Savaya on Sunday for People of the Sun. Thursday itself is your easy arrival evening.
  • Landing on a Friday: a light first evening, then a weekend headliner at Savaya on Saturday and Zumana Sunday as the last night; or swap Saturday for Ritual of the Sun.
  • Landing on a Sunday: Last Light at Savaya on Monday, Desa Kitsuné on Tuesday, and a Zumana weeknight to finish.
  • Landing midweek: build around Desa Kitsuné's Tuesday or Friday and fill the other two nights with Zumana's rotation and Savaya.

Terms change per night: a night can be ticketed only, have a list, or open one later. The night's page is the only reference.

Where to stay for three nights

With only three nights, one base and a driver beats three hotels. A base in the south keeps Savaya and Zumana close to each other; Canggu suits a stay built around Desa Kitsuné and the beach clubs. Where to stay in Bali compares the areas, and FirstBali can arrange villas.

What to book, in order

  1. The table, if you want one, for your biggest night: FirstBali books it with the venue through the concierge; it is yours once the venue confirms it, and any deposit follows the venue's terms.
  2. Tickets, only from the venue's own channel, if a night is ticketed only.
  3. Your guestlist registrations, one per guest per night, on the night's page.
  4. Cars with driver for the three returns, through transport.

Bring a passport or driver's licence each night: all three clubs are 21+.

Questions we get asked

+Are three nights enough for Bali nightlife?

Enough for one night in each area: Desa Kitsuné in Canggu, Zumana in Kuta and Savaya in Uluwatu. Order them by each venue's weekly programme.

+Which nights does Desa Kitsuné party?

Its garden parties run on Tuesday and Friday, rain or shine. Each night's page shows its terms.

+What is on at Savaya on a Monday?

Last Light, Savaya's sunset set from The Cube. Weekends bring headliners and Sundays are People of the Sun.

It is not the plan we suggest: the clubs are in different areas, and at Savaya and Zumana re-entry is only possible with a table.

+What should I book first?

A table for your biggest night, if you want one, since it is the only reserved space. It is yours once the venue confirms it.
