Bali Wednesday night: a headliner or a long dinner

On a Wednesday night in Bali, Zumana in Kuta books a headliner and Savaya opens on the Uluwatu cliff; in Berawa, dinners with DJs fill the evening. How to choose and read each night's terms.

Wednesday is the middle of the week, and in Bali it splits into two kinds of evening. The big one is at Zumana, the Savaya Group beach club on Sunset Bay in Kuta, where Wednesday is a headliner night built around a headline artist; Savaya on the Uluwatu clifftop runs one of its weekday nights. The quieter one is a long dinner with a DJ in Berawa. Desa Kitsuné's garden parties are on Tuesdays and Fridays, not Wednesdays.

A headliner on a weeknight: Zumana

Zumana books headline artists on Wednesdays and Fridays, which makes Wednesday the only weeknight with a headliner on its regular programme. That is useful if you are in Bali for a week and the weekend is taken by other plans.

Headliner nights are also the ones whose terms vary most. Some have a guestlist, some are ticketed only, and a night can open a list after it is announced, so the page for the exact Wednesday is the only reliable source. Official tickets come only through the venue's own channel. Zumana's headliner nights explains how to read them, and Zumana tickets how tickets work.

The setting is the same as on any day: a beach club designed by Rockwell Group around beachfront daybeds, poolside spaces, bars and an open-air dance floor, with ZENÍA, "The Eternal Host", at its centre and Manuza as its restaurant.

Savaya on a Wednesday

Savaya, the clifftop club in Pecatu that DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs named number one in Asia from 2024 to 2026 and fifth in the world in 2026, is open daily. Its weekends carry the international headliners; Wednesday is one of its weekday nights, so open that date's page to see what is on. Savaya on a weekday covers how these nights run.

Or a long dinner with a DJ, in Berawa

If you would rather not commit to a club on a Wednesday, several catalogue restaurants in Berawa bring the music to the table:

  • Jade by Todd English. Mediterranean cooking around a wood-fire grill, a cocktail bar with an Asian touch, a daily DJ and weekly late-night events.
  • Miss Fish. A Japanese restaurant with a seasonal omakase at an onyx counter, an open-air Patio and a Lounge; later in the evening, DJs take over.
  • BELLA. Contemporary Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cooking around an open kitchen, a long bar and a DJ booth, where the evening turns into a party.

Jade by Todd English

Restaurants · Berawa

Jade by Todd English is a Mediterranean restaurant and bar in Berawa, whose culinary direction draws on American chef Todd English, known for his flagship restaurant Olives. The kitchen works around a wood-fire grill, with a focus on local farms and producers, on a menu designed for sharing among friends. The cocktail bar gives its drinks an Asian touch. Warm lighting and earthy tones set the room, and the mood shifts as the night goes on, with a daily DJ and weekly late-night events.

Miss Fish

Restaurants · Berawa

Miss Fish is a Japanese restaurant and late-night venue on Jalan Raya Semat in Berawa, Canggu, open since 2022. Executive Chef Carlos Barvo leads a seasonal omakase that pairs Japanese technique with European and Latin American influences. Guests choose between the Omakase Bar, a chef-guided onyx counter, the open-air Patio and the Lounge for cocktails and shared plates, and the bar holds more than 40 sakes and Japanese whiskies. Later in the evening, DJs take over. Dress code: smart casual.

BELLA

BELLA

Restaurants · Berawa

BELLA is a contemporary Mediterranean and Middle Eastern restaurant on Jalan Pantai Berawa, run by The SEN Group. Executive chef Oğuz Karadoğan, formerly of Lokanta 1741 in Istanbul, cooks a wood-fired menu made for sharing: lamb meatballs in rich tomato sauce with Hokkaido bread, a Mediterranean ceviche of seabass, kefir and gremolata, a whole roasted cauliflower with tahini. The room is built around an open kitchen, a long bar and a DJ booth, and the evening turns into a party, with weekly Taverna nights and Kitchen Party.

Beach clubs in Berawa keep going every day too: FINNS Beach Club has resident DJs and live singers daily, and Atlas Beach Club has DJs at its pool bar through the day. See Bali night without clubs for evenings that stay at the table.

How to plan the night

  1. Pick one area. Kuta, Uluwatu and Berawa are separate parts of the island; on a weeknight, stay close to where you sleep.
  2. Open the Wednesday's page on the calendar above. A Guestlist button means there is a list; only a Table button means the night is ticketed only.
  3. Register yourself if there is a list. Each guest registers individually; joining is free, and entry is complimentary before the cutoff shown on the night's page, reduced after it. Registration does not guarantee complimentary entry, and mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred.
  4. Book a table early on a headliner night. A table is the only reserved space; the venue sets its minimum spend per night. Re-entry at Savaya and Zumana is only possible with a table.
  5. Arrange the car home through transport.

The door

Savaya and Zumana are 21+ with a valid photo ID, a passport or driving licence, and smart casual. At Savaya the club is cashless, bags are searched, lockers are limited, and no luggage or outside food or drink is allowed.

Around Wednesday

Tuesday is Desa Kitsuné's garden with guest DJs (Bali Tuesday night); Thursday is Zumana's rotating night, including Made in Kuta once a month (Bali Thursday night).

We send the night's guestlist link when there is one, book a table or a dinner with the venue, and arrange the car. Nothing is confirmed until the venue has confirmed it, and any deposit follows the venue's terms and is not a confirmation.
