Desa Kitsuné is at Jl. Munduk Catu No.9 in Canggu, in the Kuta Utara (North Kuta) district of Badung. The simplest way to get there and back is a car with a driver booked for the evening, both ways, before the night begins. Bring a current, valid photo ID, the digital ticket from your email, and shoes the door will accept.

Where Desa Kitsuné is

The official address is Jl. Munduk Catu No.9, Canggu, Kecamatan Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, and the venue describes itself as "a unique lifestyle village located in the heart of Canggu". Café Kitsuné, the Ina Ré restaurant, the Maison Kitsuné boutique and the Garden all share that address, so whatever the evening holds — coffee, dinner, the party, or all three — the driver needs only one destination.

Keep that in mind if you are also going to the group's other venues. Savaya is on the clifftops of Pecatu, in Uluwatu; Zumana is at Sunset Bay, in Kuta. Same group, three different parts of the island, three separate evenings. The comparison guide sets them side by side.

Getting there: a car with a driver

FirstBali arranges cars with a driver for an evening out, there and back. Choose by the size of the group:

  • A couple or a small group: a Toyota Alphard, or a Toyota Innova.
  • A larger group: the Toyota Hiace Premio, so everyone arrives together and nobody is left waiting for a second car.
  • An occasion: a limousine — a BMW 730Li, a Mercedes-Benz S400 or a Rolls-Royce Ghost — on request through the concierge.

The fleet is on the transport page, and how an evening hire works is explained in the private driver guide.

Getting home: settle it before you go in

The ride home is the part of the night to arrange first, while everyone is clear-headed. Book the return at the same time as the way out, agree with the driver where you will meet, and keep the details on your phone. Then the end of the evening is already decided, whatever time the garden empties for you.

The official travel advice behind this habit — including what it says about drivers who approach people on the street — is set out, with its sources, in the night-out safety guide.

What about a scooter?

If you ride a scooter by day, leave it at your villa on a party night. The journey home after an evening in the garden is the one not to make on two wheels. If you do ride during your stay, the licence and helmet rules are in the Bali scooter licence guide.

What to bring

  1. A valid photo ID. The parties are 21+, and the venue's FAQ asks for "a current, valid photo ID such as a valid Passport or valid Driver's license".
  2. Your digital ticket. If you registered on the guestlist, the venue emails you a digital ticket; on a ticketed-only night, it is the ticket you bought through the venue's own channel. Use an email address you can open on your phone.
  3. The right shoes and clothes. Smart casual. The door refuses flip-flops, hard-sole shoes and boots, as well as sportswear, chains, baggy clothing, torn or cut-off clothing and beer-branded singlets; the venue's FAQ adds swimwear. The detail is in the Desa Kitsuné dress code.
  4. Your driver's details and the meeting point you agreed.
  5. A plan for rain. The parties run "rain or shine", in the venue's own words, but events can still be cancelled for inclement weather, and a guestlist registration does not move to another night.

Timing your arrival

If you are on the guestlist, aim to arrive before the night's cutoff — and if your group includes men, before theirs, which comes earlier than the women's. The times are on each night's page, set event by event. If you are having dinner at Ina Ré first, you are already there when dinner ends: the restaurant is on the same grounds, as described in dinner and party at Desa Kitsuné. New to the place altogether? Start with your first time at Desa Kitsuné.

How FirstBali arranges it

Tell the concierge the night, the number of people, where you are staying and when you would like to be collected, and whether you also need a garden table or dinner at Ina Ré. FirstBali books the car with a driver, and the table and the dinner with the venue on your behalf; each is yours once confirmed. Our assistant replies at any hour; the team picks up through the Bali day and evening.
