Desa Kitsuné Tuesday or Friday: which night to choose?

Desa Kitsuné holds two garden parties a week, rain or shine: Tuesday with guest DJs, Friday with Bali-based DJs. Both can carry a free guestlist, but many nights from November are ticketed only.

Desa Kitsuné throws two garden parties every week, "rain or shine": Tuesday brings guest DJs, while Friday, Desa Kitsune Friday, is about "celebrating and supporting local talent", with DJs who are Bali based, from international backgrounds. Both nights can carry a free guestlist, with complimentary entry before a cutoff that comes earlier for men than for women. From November onward many nights are ticketed only, so check each date before you choose.

The calendar above shows the coming nights, Tuesdays and Fridays alike, each with its own Guestlist or Table button. A night that shows only the Table button is ticketed only.

Tuesday: the guest night

On Tuesdays the garden hands the decks to guest DJs, so the line-up is what to check first, and a Tuesday is the night to pick when you are following a particular artist: find the date in the calendar, read who is playing, and decide from there.

Some of these nights are ticketed only. Carl Cox, for instance, is listed at Desa Kitsuné on 5 January, ticketed only.

Friday: Desa Kitsune Friday, the island's own DJs

Friday has a different brief. In the venue's words, it is about "celebrating and supporting local talent… DJs are Bali based from international backgrounds." It is the night to choose if you want to hear DJs who are based on the island rather than a visiting name.

Which night should you choose?

  • Choose Tuesday if a guest DJ on the bill is the reason you are going.
  • Choose Friday if you would rather hear Bali-based DJs.
  • Choose both if you are on the island for a week: they are separate events, so each needs its own registration.

Beyond the two weekly nights, there are occasional one-offs on other days, a Halloween party on a Saturday for example. Each follows its own terms.

Rain or shine

The venue's own line is that the parties happen "every Tuesday & Friday in our Garden, rain or shine!" A shower is not, on its own, a reason to stay home. The general terms still apply, though: events can be cancelled for inclement weather, and a guestlist registration does not transfer to another night.

The guestlist, on either night

The rules are the same on Tuesday and on Friday:

  • Joining is free. FirstBali gives you the link to the night's guestlist page; you register yourself, and a digital ticket arrives by email.
  • Complimentary before the cutoff, which is earlier for men than for women. After it, a reduced entry fee applies, and later in the night men pay the full entry fee. The times are on the night's page, set event by event.
  • Every person, every event. A Tuesday registration does not carry over to Friday.
  • Mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred, and "Management reserves the right to refuse entry at their discretion, even if a guestlist registration has been approved."
  • Ticketed-only nights. Many nights from November onward have no list at all. As listed in October 2026, every Desa Kitsuné night from 22 December is ticketed only, New Year's Eve included. Check each date.

The three tiers and the form are covered in depth in the Desa Kitsuné guestlist guide, and why arriving after the cutoff changes everything is in the Bali guestlist cutoff guide.

An evening that starts with dinner

Desa Kitsuné is not a beach club. It is "a unique lifestyle village located in the heart of Canggu", a 5,000 m² garden run by the Savaya Group with Maison Kitsuné. The village also holds Café Kitsuné, the Ina Ré restaurant and a Maison Kitsuné boutique, so a party night can begin over dinner at Ina Ré, in the same village. What is open, and when, is on the Desa Kitsuné page.

If your group includes men, keep the cutoff in mind when you book dinner: theirs comes first. More on the village itself is in the Desa Kitsuné guide.

Dress code and age

The door asks for smart casual and refuses a list of things that catch visitors out, starting with shoes: hard-sole shoes, boots and flip-flops are all refused. So are chains and baggy clothing, along with sportswear, torn or cut-off clothing and beer-branded singlets. The parties are 21+, and valid government ID may be required. The details are in the Desa Kitsuné dress code guide.

A table instead of the list

A table is the only reserved space in the garden, and on a ticketed-only night it is the alternative to a ticket. The venue sets a minimum spend for each night; the Table button opens the venue group's own table map and pricing when it is published. FirstBali books the table with Desa Kitsuné on your behalf, and it is yours only once the venue confirms it.

Where FirstBali fits

FirstBali sends you the link to the right night's guestlist page, tells you whether a date is ticketed only, and books tables with the venue; you register on the list yourself. Everything goes through the concierge, on the site or on WhatsApp. To get home from Canggu afterwards, a car with a driver can be requested from the transport page.

Questions we get asked

+What nights are the parties at Desa Kitsuné?

Every Tuesday and every Friday, in the garden, rain or shine. Tuesday brings guest DJs and Friday features Bali-based DJs, with occasional one-off nights on other days.

+Is Desa Kitsuné better on Tuesday or Friday?

It depends on what you want to hear. Tuesday is the guest DJ night; Friday, Desa Kitsune Friday, supports local talent with Bali-based DJs from international backgrounds.

+Is Desa Kitsuné on if it rains?

The venue says its Tuesday and Friday garden parties happen rain or shine. Events can still be cancelled for inclement weather, and guestlist registrations are not transferable to another night.

+Is there a guestlist at Desa Kitsuné on Tuesday and Friday?

Not always: many nights from November onward are ticketed only. On nights with a list, joining is free and gives complimentary entry before a cutoff that is earlier for men than for women.

+Do I need to register separately for Tuesday and Friday at Desa Kitsuné?

Yes. Guests must register individually for each event they wish to attend, so a Tuesday registration does not carry over to Friday.

+What shoes are not allowed at Desa Kitsuné?

Hard-sole shoes, boots and flip-flops are all refused at Desa Kitsuné's door. Chains, baggy clothing and sportswear are refused too, under a smart casual dress code.
