Choose Savaya for the bigger occasion: a clifftop club in Uluwatu, high above the Indian Ocean, where the sunset leads into a club night and weekends mostly bring international headliners. Choose Zumana for a beach day that turns into a party: a beach club on the sand at Sunset Bay in Kuta, open daily, with daybeds, pools and an open-air dance floor. They are sister venues of Savaya Group, both 21+ and smart casual, and their guestlists and tables work the same way.
Savaya Bali
Clubs · Uluwatu
Savaya is a clifftop club in Pecatu, Uluwatu, set 100 metres above the Indian Ocean between jungle and limestone cliffs, with pools and The Cube, the landmark that frames its horizon. Named the number-one club in Asia three years running (2024–2026) and fifth in the world in 2026 in DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs, it is open daily: Last Light every Monday, weekday nights, and international headliners at weekends. Strictly 21+, smart casual.
Zumana
Beach clubs · Kuta
Zumana is a beach club at Sunset Bay in Kuta, a Savaya Group property designed by Rockwell Group around beachfront daybeds, poolside spaces, bars and an open-air dance floor. Its centrepiece is ZENÍA, "The Eternal Host", a 10-metre sculpture by Daniel Popper made with Balinese artisans from Ubud, and its restaurant is Manuza. Open daily: Zumana Sunday, Monday and Tuesday every week, headliners on Wednesdays and Fridays, Ritual of the Sun on Saturdays. 21+, smart casual.
Setting: cliff or beach
Savaya sits in Pecatu, on the Bukit peninsula, "100 metres above the Indian Ocean", between jungle and limestone cliffs. There is no beach. There are pools, decks, and The Cube, the landmark that frames the horizon. DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs named it number one in Asia three years running (2024–2026) and number five in the world in 2026.
Zumana is on the beachfront at Sunset Bay, on Jalan Kartika Plaza in Kuta. Designed by Rockwell Group, it has beachfront daybeds, poolside spaces, bars, an open-air dance floor and a restaurant, Manuza. Its centrepiece is ZENÍA, "The Eternal Host", a 10-metre sculpture by Daniel Popper. Savaya Group introduced it as a way to reimagine Kuta, under the line "Every Generation Deserves Its Own Kuta."
Day or night
Both are open daily, and both treat the sunset as a moment rather than a backdrop. The difference is what surrounds it.
- Zumana presents itself in three parts — Day, Sunset and Night. By day, "the shore wakes slowly"; then, in its words, "When the sun drops, the shore transforms. The music rises, the energy deepens." It suits arriving early and letting the day happen.
- Savaya is built towards the night. Its Monday, Last Light, is a sunset set from The Cube; some Sundays run from the afternoon to a headliner; weekends are about the main act.
The music and the week
Savaya: Last Light on Monday; Savaya Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; on Fridays, Southern Tribe once a month, the monthly Full Moon on some, guest nights on others; at weekends, mostly international headliners.
Zumana: Zumana Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, the regular days; headliner nights on Wednesdays and Fridays; Ritual of the Sun on Saturdays, usually with a guest; and on Thursdays a rotation of ZENÍA, SENJA, Zumana Thursday and Made in Kuta, a monthly celebration of local talent, music, food and culture. Zumana's week is laid out in the Zumana weekly nights.
The door
Both are 21+ with ID, smart casual, and both refuse work jeans or denim, beer-branded singlets, cut-off clothing and athletic sportswear, with swimwear for the pools only. Two differences:
- Flip-flops: Zumana names them as not permitted; Savaya's rules do not.
- The guestlist window: at Zumana's regular days (Sunday to Tuesday) the complimentary entry runs during an afternoon window, with reduced entry after; at Savaya, complimentary entry runs until the cutoff on the night's page.
At both, the guestlist is free to join, each guest registers individually for each event, registration does not guarantee entry, and mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred. At both, some headliner nights are ticketed only, with official tickets sold only through the venue's own channel.
Tables
At both venues a table is the only reserved space, with a minimum spend set by the venue for each night, and at both only a table reservation allows re-entry. The setting changes what a table is: at Savaya, areas such as The Cube Sofas or the Dance Floor Sofas on the night's map; at Zumana, beachfront daybeds and poolside spaces. FirstBali books either with the venue on your behalf; it is yours once the venue confirms it.
Getting there
Savaya is at the southern end of the island, on the Bukit peninsula, in Pecatu. Zumana is in Kuta, on the west coast at Sunset Bay. Whichever you choose, settle the ride home before you go: a car with a driver can be requested from transport, and the options are in getting around Bali.
Who each suits
- A first big night in Bali, or a celebration: Savaya, on a headliner weekend or a Last Light Monday, ideally with a table.
- A long beach day with friends: Zumana, from Sunday to Tuesday, arriving within the afternoon guestlist window.
- Staying in Kuta or Seminyak and keeping it simple: Zumana, on your side of the island.
- Staying in Uluwatu: Savaya is on your doorstep.
- A Saturday sunset: Zumana's Ritual of the Sun; on a Monday, Savaya's Last Light.
- Here for a headliner: Savaya at weekends, Zumana on Wednesdays and Fridays — check the night's page for guestlist or ticket only.
- Both: they are not on the same night by necessity. A Zumana afternoon and a Savaya weekend fit easily into one stay.
Honest assessments of each are in is Savaya worth it and is Zumana worth it; Desa Kitsuné joins the comparison in Savaya vs Zumana vs Desa Kitsuné.
Sister venues
Zumana's own site calls it "A Savaya Group Property", and Savaya's site announced it with "Savaya Group introduces Zumana Bali." Savaya Group lists Savaya, Zumana and its restaurant Manuza, and Desa Kitsuné among its brands. That is why their guestlists, terms and table maps look alike.
