21st birthday in Bali: where you can celebrate at 21

Bali's best-known clubs are 21+, so a 21st is often the first night you can go. Which venues set 21 in their own rules, the ID to bring, and the dinner, table, boat and villa around it.

Updated October 15, 2026 · 4 min read

For a 21st birthday in Bali, one rule matters more than the rest: Savaya, Zumana, Desa Kitsuné, Les Toilettes and MUIN all set 21 as their minimum age, in their own published terms. So the birthday itself is often the first night the birthday person can walk in. Go out on or after the date, carry an ID that shows it, book a table for the group, and build the rest of the day — dinner, a beach club, a boat, a villa — around that night. FirstBali arranges each piece through the concierge; the wider picture is in birthday parties in Bali.

Which venues are 21+, in their own words

This page states only the rules the venues publish. It is not a statement of Indonesian law, and it does not cover venues that publish no age rule.

  • Savaya, on the cliff in Uluwatu: strictly 21+.
  • Zumana, at Sunset Bay in Kuta: 21+.
  • Desa Kitsuné, in Canggu: 21+ for its parties in the Garden.
  • Les Toilettes, in Seminyak: guests must be 21+.
  • MUIN, in Seminyak: "Must be 21+".
Savaya Bali

Savaya Bali

Clubs · Uluwatu

Savaya is a clifftop club in Pecatu, Uluwatu, set 100 metres above the Indian Ocean between jungle and limestone cliffs, with pools and The Cube, the landmark that frames its horizon. Named the number-one club in Asia three years running (2024–2026) and fifth in the world in 2026 in DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs, it is open daily: Last Light every Monday, weekday nights, and international headliners at weekends. Its centrepiece is ZENÍA, "The Eternal Host", a 10-metre sculpture by Daniel Popper made with Balinese artisans from Ubud, and its restaurant is Manuza. Open daily: Zumana Sunday, Monday and Tuesday every week, headliners on Wednesdays and Fridays, Ritual of the Sun on Saturdays. 21+, smart casual.

Café Kitsuné, the Ina Ré restaurant and a Maison Kitsuné boutique share the grounds, and every Tuesday and Friday the Garden becomes the party, rain or shine: guest DJs on Tuesdays, Bali-based DJs on Fridays. Parties are 21+, smart casual.

Les Toilettes

Les Toilettes

Clubs · Seminyak

Les Toilettes is the K-Club Group's nightclub on Jalan Petitenget in Seminyak, at the same address as Sardine, the group's seafood restaurant, so dinner and a late night can happen in one place. Now in its 2.0 version, the club draws on club concepts from around the world. Entry is for guests aged 21 and over, at the door's discretion, and the dress code is smart: no flip-flops, sandals or sportswear.

MUIN

MUIN

Clubs · Seminyak

MU:IN Bali brings a nightlife brand born in Seoul to Jalan Petitenget in Seminyak. The club is designed around sound and sightlines: a towering sound system, immersive lasers, a kinetic lighting rig with LED production, and a stage that puts the DJ in the middle of the crowd. Resident DJs and international guests rotate through weekly signature nights, while VIP sofas with bottle service look straight onto the main floor. Entry is for guests aged 21 and over.

"Adults-only" does not always mean 21. Finns describes itself as an adults-only venue and its booking form sets that at 16 and above. El Kabron says its pool is adults-only, for guests over 18. When a venue publishes nothing, ask before you plan the night around it.

The ID that gets the birthday through the door

  • Savaya and Zumana ask for a valid photo ID: a passport or a driver's licence.
  • Desa Kitsuné may ask for a valid government ID.
  • Les Toilettes asks for a valid government-issued photo ID or a passport at entry.

A passport is the one document that works everywhere on that list. Bring the document itself, check it has not expired, and register on any guestlist under the name printed on it. The full door policy is in the Bali clubs age limit.

Friends under 21? They will not get in, whatever the booking: no table, ticket or guestlist lowers the limit. Build the rest of the day so that everyone shares it — dinner, the boat, the villa, a beach club whose own rules let them in — and keep the club for those old enough.

The birthday table

A table is the only reserved space in a club: a sofa, a booth or a daybed that belongs to the group all night, with a minimum spend that the venue sets for that night. For a birthday it has a second advantage: at Savaya and Zumana, re-entry is only permitted with a table reservation, so the birthday person can step out and come back. Pick the night from what is announced:

In Seminyak, MUIN has VIP sofas with bottle service looking straight onto the main floor, and Les Toilettes shares its address with Sardine, so dinner and the first night at 21 happen in one place. How tables work everywhere is explained in the Bali table booking guide.

The afternoon: a beach club birthday

Finns sells a birthday package that you add to a daybed booking: a birthday-themed daybed set-up, a complimentary birthday cake, a birthday show with a personalised shadow box and an LED cake, and an "It's My Birthday" satin robe as a gift. Because Finns admits guests from 16, the friends who are not yet 21 can share the afternoon. Atlas, on the same beach, says it is "built to host unforgettable group experiences", birthdays included.

Dinner first

  • MîA, in Berawa, hosts private events, from birthday celebrations to intimate dinners.
  • Sardine, in Seminyak, invites guests to "celebrate another year" there, with private areas for groups overlooking the rice fields — and Les Toilettes on the same site.
  • Miss Fish, in Berawa, tailors menus, seating and the bar for birthdays and group events, and DJs take over later in the evening.
MiA

MiA

Restaurants · Berawa

MîA is a modern Asian restaurant and bar on Jalan Raya Semat in Tibubeneng, in the Berawa part of Canggu. The menu is built for sharing, pairing Asian heritage with contemporary technique: Wagyu gyoza with karashi, soft-shell crab with amazu ponzu, Chilean sea bass tempura and Thai green curry. Carefully crafted drinks are made to match the food, and the setting blends modern style with traditional touches under the open Bali sky. A table here is made for gathering friends.

Sardine

Sardine

Restaurants · Seminyak

Sardine by K-Club is a seafood restaurant on Jalan Petitenget in Seminyak, set in an open-air bamboo building that looks over a stretch of rice paddies, with a terrace for lunch or dinner. The kitchen cooks the daily catch (yellowfin tuna, scallops, snapper) in a modern Mediterranean style, with vegetables from its own farms and a vegetarian set menu. Evenings can run late: Les Toilettes, the hidden club on site, hosts DJs, and once a month The Gates of Bali brings fire dancers and aerial acts.

Miss Fish

Miss Fish

Restaurants · Berawa

Miss Fish is a Japanese restaurant and late-night venue on Jalan Raya Semat in Berawa, Canggu, open since 2022. Executive Chef Carlos Barvo leads a seasonal omakase that pairs Japanese technique with European and Latin American influences. Guests choose between the Omakase Bar, a chef-guided onyx counter, the open-air Patio and the Lounge for cocktails and shared plates, and the bar holds more than 40 sakes and Japanese whiskies. Later in the evening, DJs take over. Dress code: smart casual.

Tell the concierge about the cake, the allergy and the moment the candles should come out; those are requests the restaurant answers, not promises a form can make.

A birthday at sea

FirstBali's boat catalogue has a trip made for the occasion: Birthday at golden hour, the yacht to yourselves at the hour the light drops. For a bigger group, the private yacht sunset and party cruise comes with crew, a guide, drinks and snacks. Everything about the boats is in the Bali boat party guide.

The villa

A villa turns a 21st into a weekend, with everyone under one roof whatever their age. Ask the villa's own rules on guests and music before you plan a party there; they differ from one property to the next. Browse the villas.

Getting home

A driver who waits is the piece people forget. FirstBali's fleet includes cars and vans with a driver, booked for the evening, so nobody is looking for a ride at the end of the night. See the fleet.

How FirstBali arranges it

Send the concierge the date of the birthday, how many you are and how many in the group are 21 or over. We ask each venue for availability and the real amounts; you decide, and each booking is yours once the venue confirms it.

Questions we get asked

+Can I go to Savaya on my 21st birthday?

Yes, on or after the birthday itself, with a valid photo ID that shows it, such as a passport or a driver's licence. Savaya is strictly 21+, and the age check applies whether you come on the guestlist, with a ticket or with a table.

+Which clubs in Bali are 21+?

Savaya, Zumana, Desa Kitsuné, Les Toilettes and MUIN all state 21+ in their own terms. Other venues set different limits: Finns' booking form says 16 and above, and El Kabron's pool is for guests over 18.

+Can friends under 21 come to a 21st birthday in a Bali club?

Not into the 21+ clubs: no table, ticket or guestlist lowers the limit. Plan the dinner, the boat, the villa or a beach club that admits them, and keep the club for those old enough.

+What ID do I need for a club in Bali at 21?

A passport works at every venue on our list. Savaya and Zumana also accept a driver's licence, and Les Toilettes asks for a valid government-issued photo ID or a passport.

+Do Bali beach clubs do birthday packages?

Finns sells a birthday package added to a daybed booking, with a themed daybed set-up, a birthday cake and a birthday show. Atlas says it hosts group celebrations, birthdays included.

+How do I book a 21st birthday table in Bali?

Send the FirstBali concierge the date, the venue or area and your group size. The venue confirms availability and the minimum spend for that night, and the table is yours once it confirms.
