Birthday party in Bali: where to celebrate, and how
A Bali birthday is built from a few pieces: dinner, a reserved table at a beach club or club, a driver, and perhaps a boat at golden hour or a villa night. Where each works, and how to book it.

The easiest way to celebrate a birthday in Bali is to build the day from a few pieces: a dinner, a reserved table at a beach club or a club, and a driver who waits; a private boat at golden hour or a night in a villa are the additions that make it feel like an occasion. Each piece is booked separately with the venue, and each is yours only once the venue confirms it. FirstBali arranges all of them through one conversation with the concierge.
Choose the shape of the day
Most good birthdays in Bali follow one of three shapes:
- Sunset, dinner, then the night. A daybed at a beach club in the afternoon, dinner in Berawa, a club table afterwards.
- The sea, then dinner. A private boat at the hour the light drops, then a long table on land.
- The villa as the base. Everyone under one roof, a dinner or a beach club out, and the car home arranged in advance.
Pick the shape first, then the venues. Trying to fit four areas into one evening is how a birthday ends up in traffic.
The table: a beach club or a club
At a beach club or a club, a table is the only reserved space — a daybed, a sofa, a booth or a cabana — and it is what you want for a celebration: somewhere that is yours all night, for everyone in the group. It carries a minimum spend that the venue sets for each night; busy nights may ask for a deposit. FirstBali asks the venue for your date and passes on the amount it confirms; nothing is quoted before that.
Two Berawa beach clubs say outright that they host birthdays. Finns sells a birthday package that you add to a daybed booking — a daybed decorated for the occasion, a birthday cake and a birthday show among other touches; Finns is adults-only. Atlas says on its own site that it is "built to host unforgettable group experiences", from birthdays to special events, and its grounds give a big group room to spread out.
Finns Beach Club
Beach clubs · Berawa
FINNS Beach Club stretches along the beachfront at Berawa, in Canggu, under a bamboo structure designed by PBM Architecture. It is adults-only and divided into several party zones, from FINNS Beach Party and FINNS Garden Party to FINNS Grey Goose Party and FINNS VIP Party, with pools, swim-up bars, private cabanas, dance floors and restaurants spread across the site. Resident DJs and live singers keep an all-day party going every day, and the club also hosts private events, birthdays and corporate groups.
Atlas Beach Club
Beach clubs · Berawa
Atlas Beach Club sits on Berawa Beach and bills itself as the biggest beach club in the world. Its signature beanbags sit right on the sand facing the sea, beside a vast pool and a pool bar where DJs play through the day. Daybeds and sofas are spread across distinct zones, from The Deck restaurant overlooking the beach to the Party Side in front of the stage. Daily shows draw on the four elements, and a beachfront padel court and a 100-metre flying fox complete the site.
For a night rather than an afternoon, Savaya on the cliff in Uluwatu, Zumana in Kuta and Desa Kitsuné in Canggu all take table bookings. All three are 21+ with a valid ID, and smart casual. At Savaya and Zumana, re-entry is only permitted with a table reservation — one more reason a table suits a celebration, since the birthday person can step out and come back. Pick the night from what is announced:

Turning 21 on the trip? The age check is a door rule. Go out on or after the birthday itself, with an ID that shows it — details in the Bali clubs age limit.
Dinner first
A birthday dinner works best somewhere that is set up for a group. Among the restaurants FirstBali books:
- MîA in Berawa hosts private events, birthday celebrations included, with menus adapted to the event and the group; the kitchen is modern Asian, made for sharing.
- BELLA, on Jalan Pantai Berawa, is available for private hire for special occasions, and on an ordinary night the room turns into a party around its DJ booth.
- Ina Ré, the restaurant of Desa Kitsuné, has private dining rooms for groups.
- Sardine in Seminyak shares its address with Les Toilettes, the K-Club Group's club, so dinner and the late night happen in one place.
MiA
Restaurants · Berawa
MîA is a modern Asian restaurant and bar on Jalan Raya Semat in Tibubeneng, in the Berawa part of Canggu. The menu is built for sharing, pairing Asian heritage with contemporary technique: Wagyu gyoza with karashi, soft-shell crab with amazu ponzu, Chilean sea bass tempura and Thai green curry. Carefully crafted drinks are made to match the food, and the setting blends modern style with traditional touches under the open Bali sky. A table here is made for gathering friends.
BELLA
Restaurants · Berawa
BELLA is a contemporary Mediterranean and Middle Eastern restaurant on Jalan Pantai Berawa, run by The SEN Group. Executive chef Oğuz Karadoğan, formerly of Lokanta 1741 in Istanbul, cooks a wood-fired menu made for sharing: lamb meatballs in rich tomato sauce with Hokkaido bread, a Mediterranean ceviche of seabass, kefir and gremolata, a whole roasted cauliflower with tahini. The room is built around an open kitchen, a long bar and a DJ booth, and the evening turns into a party, with weekly Taverna nights and Kitchen Party.
Ina Ré
Restaurants · Canggu
Ina Ré is the restaurant of Desa Kitsuné, the lifestyle village on Jalan Munduk Catu in Canggu. Chilean executive chef Cristian Encina brings together Mediterranean flavours and Latin American street food: paellas to share, ceviches, tacos, empanadas and wood-fired meats such as the Stockyard tomahawk. The space draws on Balinese arts and crafts, with handmade materials, weavings and traditional motifs, and includes private dining rooms for groups. Sunday brunch has its own menu, and so do Courtyard Saturdays.
Sardine
Restaurants · Seminyak
Sardine by K-Club is a seafood restaurant on Jalan Petitenget in Seminyak, set in an open-air bamboo building that looks over a stretch of rice paddies, with a terrace for lunch or dinner. The kitchen cooks the daily catch (yellowfin tuna, scallops, snapper) in a modern Mediterranean style, with vegetables from its own farms and a vegetarian set menu. Evenings can run late: Les Toilettes, the hidden club on site, hosts DJs, and once a month The Gates of Bali brings fire dancers and aerial acts.
Tell the concierge about the cake, the allergy and the moment you want the candles to come out; those are requests the restaurant answers, not promises a form can make. For more addresses, see where to eat in Berawa.
On the water: a birthday at golden hour
FirstBali's boat catalogue has a trip made for this: Birthday at golden hour — the yacht to yourselves, at the hour the light drops. For a bigger party, the private yacht sunset and party cruise goes hunting for the sunset along the coast with music on board, and comes with crew, a guide, drinks and snacks. Charters leave from Benoa and are arranged on request; the concierge sorts out the boat, the timing and what happens on board. All eight trips are in the Bali boat party guide and on the transport page.
A villa night
For a group, a villa turns the birthday into a weekend: a place of your own, everyone under one roof. Before you plan a gathering there, ask the villa's own rules on guests and music — they differ from one property to the next, and the answer belongs in the booking, not on the night. Browse the villas; the concierge asks the questions that matter before you commit.
The driver
A driver who waits is the piece people forget and miss most. FirstBali's fleet includes cars with a driver for a few people and vans with a driver for a whole group, booked for the evening so nobody is searching for a ride at the end of the night. See the fleet.
When to book
Weekends, high season (July, August and the last two weeks of December) and any announced event night: as early as you can, especially for the daybeds and tables everyone wants. Weekdays outside high season leave more choice. If the date is flexible, say so — the venue answers on availability and you choose.
How FirstBali arranges it
Send the concierge the date, how many you are, whose birthday it is and the shape you have in mind. We ask each venue for availability and the real amounts, you decide, and each booking is yours once the venue confirms it. The boat, the dinner, the table and the car can all go in the same conversation.

Questions we get asked
+Where can I celebrate my birthday in Bali?
At a beach club table in Berawa for the afternoon and sunset, at a club table in Uluwatu, Kuta, Canggu or Seminyak for the night, at a restaurant that hosts groups, or on a private boat at golden hour. FirstBali books each piece through the concierge.
+Do Bali beach clubs have birthday packages?
Finns in Berawa sells a birthday package added to a daybed booking, with a decorated daybed, a birthday cake and a birthday show among its touches. Atlas hosts birthday groups. What is included and the amount are confirmed by the venue for your date.
+How much is a birthday table in Bali?
Each venue sets a minimum spend for the table, and it changes with the night and the season. FirstBali asks the venue for your date and passes on the amount it confirms; no figure is given before that.
+Can I celebrate my 21st birthday at Savaya?
Yes, on or after the birthday itself. Savaya is strictly 21+ and checks a valid photo ID, such as a passport or a driver's licence, so the ID has to show you are 21 on the night.
+Can I have a birthday party on a boat in Bali?
Yes. FirstBali's catalogue includes Birthday at golden hour, a private yacht at the hour the light drops, and a private yacht sunset and party cruise with music on board. Both leave from Benoa and are arranged on request through the concierge.
+How far ahead should I book a birthday in Bali?
As early as you can for a weekend, for high season (July, August and the end of December) or for an announced event night. Weekdays outside high season leave more choice.
