Bali boat party: yachts, sunset cruises and Nusa Penida
A Bali boat party is a private charter from Benoa: a yacht sunset and party cruise, a birthday at golden hour, or a day at Nusa Penida. The eight trips FirstBali arranges, and how to ask for one.

A boat party in Bali means a private charter: the boat and its crew for your group alone, leaving from Benoa. FirstBali arranges eight of them on request — from a private yacht sunset and party cruise with music on board to full days at Nusa Penida, a dinner for two at sea and a fishing charter. Tell the concierge the date, how many you are and the trip you want; the operator confirms availability and the amount, and nothing is quoted before that.
The eight trips
These are the charters listed on the transport page, described as they appear there.
Sunset, music and celebrations
- Private yacht — sunset and party cruise. The yacht to yourselves for an afternoon of sunset hunting along the coast, with music on board. Crew, guide, drinks and snacks are included.
- Birthday at golden hour. The yacht to yourselves, at the hour the light drops.
- Dinner for two at sea. A three-course dinner served on board a private yacht.
- Nusa Lembongan at sundown. A private cruise and snorkelling before the day goes.
Nusa Penida days
- Private yacht — full-day island hopping. A full day out to Nusa Penida, with Manta Point, Crystal Bay, snorkelling and water activities. Crew, guide, gear, drinks and snacks are included.
- Manta rays, Nusa Penida. Half a day snorkelling where they pass.
- Nusa Penida, full day. The crossing, then the island on foot.
Out to sea
- Private fishing charter. A boat and its crew for the day, offshore from Bali.
Which trip for which group
- A group that wants a party: the private yacht sunset and party cruise. It is the one built around music and the sunset, and the yacht is yours alone.
- A birthday: Birthday at golden hour — the trip named for it. More ideas for the rest of the day are in the birthday party guide.
- A bachelor or bachelorette weekend: the sunset and party cruise, or the full-day island hopping if the group would rather swim than dance. Keep it away from the morning after the big night; see the group plan.
- A couple: Dinner for two at sea, or Nusa Lembongan at sundown.
- Swimmers and snorkellers: Manta rays, Nusa Penida, for half a day; the full-day island hopping for the whole day.
- Walkers and photographers: Nusa Penida, full day — the crossing, then the island on foot.
- Anglers: the private fishing charter.
How to ask for one
Every trip is arranged on request: there is no instant booking and no price list. The concierge arranges the boat, the timing and what happens on board. To get an answer quickly, send in one message:
- The date, and a second date if you have one.
- How many you are.
- The trip from the list above, or the kind of day you have in mind.
- Where you are staying, so the car to Benoa and back can be arranged at the same time.
- Anything special: a cake, a dietary need, someone who has never snorkelled.
The operator confirms availability and the amount for that date; you decide. The charter is yours once the operator confirms it, and the transfer goes in the same conversation — see the fleet for cars and vans with a driver.
The sea has a say
Boat days depend on the sea. If your trip matters — a birthday, the one free day of a wedding weekend — keep a spare day in the plan and do not put the boat on the morning of a flight. For a crossing to Nusa Penida, a calm morning is worth more than an exact plan.
What to bring
This is our advice, not the operator's list; the concierge confirms what is on board for your trip.
- Swimwear, and a towel if you like your own.
- Sun protection: a reef-safe sunscreen, a hat that will not blow away, sunglasses with a strap.
- A light layer for the way back; the wind on deck feels cooler than the shore.
- A dry bag for phones and documents.
- Something for seasickness, taken before you board if you are prone to it, not once you feel it.
- Shoes you can walk in for Nusa Penida, full day — after the crossing, the island is on foot.
- Your own snorkel mask, only if you prefer it: gear is included on the full-day yacht trip.
If not everyone wants to be on the water
Some groups split: half on the boat, half on a daybed. A beach club gives the sunset and the music on land, and the two halves meet for dinner.
Finns Beach Club
Beach clubs · Berawa
FINNS Beach Club stretches along the beachfront at Berawa, in Canggu, under a bamboo structure designed by PBM Architecture. It is adults-only and divided into several party zones, from FINNS Beach Party and FINNS Garden Party to FINNS Grey Goose Party and FINNS VIP Party, with pools, swim-up bars, private cabanas, dance floors and restaurants spread across the site. Resident DJs and live singers keep an all-day party going every day, and the club also hosts private events, birthdays and corporate groups.
Atlas Beach Club
Beach clubs · Berawa
Atlas Beach Club sits on Berawa Beach and bills itself as the biggest beach club in the world. Its signature beanbags sit right on the sand facing the sea, beside a vast pool and a pool bar where DJs play through the day. Daybeds and sofas are spread across distinct zones, from The Deck restaurant overlooking the beach to the Party Side in front of the stage. Daily shows draw on the four elements, and a beachfront padel court and a 100-metre flying fox complete the site.
White Rock Beach Club
Beach clubs · Uluwatu
White Rock Beach Club sits on Melasti Beach in Ungasan, near Uluwatu, at the end of the cliff. Guests settle on daybeds, sofas or cabanas around a lagoon pool and a rock pool; families have a kids' pool and a kids' menu. There is a spa, a large covered restaurant serving local and international dishes, and enclosed, air-conditioned party suites overlooking the pool and the ocean. Resident DJs play every day, and foam parties run at weekends. The club also hosts weddings and events.
