Bali cabana booking: where to reserve one and how it works
A cabana is the covered, more private seat at a Bali beach club or club. Which venues list them, from Finns and White Rock to Savaya and Zumana's table maps, and how FirstBali books one.

A cabana is the covered, more private space at a Bali beach club or club: more shade and more room than a daybed, for a bigger group. Finns, White Rock, Le Bleu and Reef Beach Club at The Apurva Kempinski list them, and the table maps of Savaya and Zumana include cabanas on many nights. Each venue sets its own terms per day or night; FirstBali asks for one through the concierge, and it is yours once the venue confirms.
Cabana, daybed, sunbed
The three words get mixed up, so here is how the venues use them:
- A sunbed is a lounger for one.
- A daybed is a wide bed or sofa for a small group, usually in the sun.
- A cabana is covered and set apart, with space for a larger group and a little more privacy.
At a beach club the cabana is the answer to a long day in full sun, to children who need shade, or to a group that wants its own corner. At a club at night, it is a reserved area like a sofa or a table, often at the edge of the action rather than in it. The full comparison lives in the daybed guide.
Beach clubs that list cabanas
Finns Beach Club (Berawa) lists private cabanas across its party zones, alongside daybeds. It is adults only.
White Rock Beach Club (Melasti Beach, Ungasan) offers VIP cabanas, as well as lagoon beds, spa daybeds and enclosed party suites. It is family-friendly, with a kids' pool.
Le Bleu (Nusa Dua Beach) offers beach chairs, sunbeds and cabanas on a calmer stretch of sand, and counts its cabanas per pair rather than per person.
Reef Beach Club, at The Apurva Kempinski in Nusa Dua, lists cabanas and sun-loungers by its infinity pool, and the hotel states that advance reservation is required.
Finns Beach Club
Beach clubs · Berawa
FINNS Beach Club stretches along the beachfront at Berawa, in Canggu, under a bamboo structure designed by PBM Architecture. It is adults-only and divided into several party zones, from FINNS Beach Party and FINNS Garden Party to FINNS Grey Goose Party and FINNS VIP Party, with pools, swim-up bars, private cabanas, dance floors and restaurants spread across the site. Resident DJs and live singers keep an all-day party going every day, and the club also hosts private events, birthdays and corporate groups.
White Rock Beach Club
Beach clubs · Uluwatu
White Rock Beach Club sits on Melasti Beach in Ungasan, near Uluwatu, at the end of the cliff. Guests settle on daybeds, sofas or cabanas around a lagoon pool and a rock pool; families have a kids' pool and a kids' menu. There is a spa, a large covered restaurant serving local and international dishes, and enclosed, air-conditioned party suites overlooking the pool and the ocean. Resident DJs play every day, and foam parties run at weekends. The club also hosts weddings and events.
Le Bleu
Beach clubs · Nusa Dua
Le Bleu by K Club is a beachfront restaurant and beach club on Nusa Dua Beach, in the ITDC resort area, run by the K-Club Group. The look is French Riviera by way of Bali, all blue and white, with sunbeds, cabanas, terraces and an indoor dining room. The kitchen leans on seafood, from lobster linguine to yellowfin tuna tataki, with vegetarian and vegan options. The weekly programme mixes yoga, cocktail workshops, beach games and festive Sunday gatherings with a DJ.
The Apurva Kempinski
Restaurants · Nusa Dua
The Apurva Kempinski Bali is a five-star resort on the cliffs of Nusa Dua, facing the Indian Ocean, and its dining spreads across several venues. Koral, which the hotel presents as Bali's first aquarium restaurant, serves set and tasting menus beside the tanks, adults only at dinner. Izakaya by OKU is a sister to OKU in Jakarta; Reef Beach Club sits on the sand beside a 42-metre infinity pool; Bai Yun serves hot pot and dim sum; L'Atelier by Cyril Kongo is a lounge with ocean views and Mediterranean tapas.
Cabanas on the partner clubs' table maps
At Savaya, Zumana and Desa Kitsuné, a reserved place is a table, and each night has its own map. The flyer's Table button on the events page opens it when one is published.
Savaya (Uluwatu clifftop): the maps list Cabanas and Bungalows among their areas, beside the Lounge, Daybeds, The Cube Sofas and others. The minimum spend is set by the venue per night and includes food and beverage credit.

Zumana (Sunset Bay, Kuta): Cabanas appear on the map with daybeds and sofas. On a headliner night, spaces are marked "SOLD OUT" as they go, and several categories note that guaranteeing a specific cabana, rather than one of that type, means an additional charge set by Zumana.

What to tell us when you ask
Send the concierge:
- The venue and the date, or a shortlist if you are flexible.
- How many you are, including any children at a family beach club.
- Day or night: a cabana at a beach club and a cabana on a club's table map are different requests.
- Any position that matters: shade, pool, sea view, near or far from the stage.
- The occasion, if there is one: a birthday or a proposal changes what the venue can prepare.
FirstBali asks the venue, passes on its answer and its terms for that date, and you decide. A cabana is the venue's to confirm: nothing is booked until it confirms, and any deposit follows the venue's own terms and is not itself a confirmation.
Booking early, and when not to worry
Cabanas are fewer than daybeds, so they go first at weekends, on headliner nights and in high season. Ask as soon as the date is set. If a cabana is gone, a daybed or a sofa in a good spot is often the better evening anyway, and the concierge can ask for alternatives in the same message.
Getting there
Most cabana days are long and end after dark, at clifftop venues or on busy beach roads. A private driver who waits takes the question of the ride home off the table. An assistant answers at any hour, and the team through the Bali day and evening.

Among our venues, Finns, White Rock, Le Bleu and Reef Beach Club at The Apurva Kempinski list cabanas on their own pages.

Their table maps include cabanas on many nights; Savaya's also lists bungalows. Each night has its own map and terms, set by the venue.
+Can I choose a specific cabana?
Say which position you want and FirstBali asks. At Zumana, several categories note that guaranteeing a specific spot carries an additional charge set by the venue.
