Bali Friday night: where to go and how to plan it
On a Friday night in Bali, Desa Kitsuné holds its garden party in Canggu, Zumana in Kuta books a headliner, and Savaya starts its weekend. Pick one area, dine nearby, and check each night's terms.

Friday is one of the easiest nights to plan in Bali, because the three Savaya Group venues each have something fixed on it. Desa Kitsuné holds its weekly garden party in Canggu with Bali-based DJs, Zumana in Kuta books a headline artist, and Savaya on the Uluwatu clifftop runs its international headliners at weekends. Choose one of the three by area, add a dinner close by, and read the night's own terms before you go.

Three Fridays to choose from
Desa Kitsuné, Canggu: the island's own DJs
Every Friday, the garden at Desa Kitsuné becomes the party, "rain or shine". Friday is the night of Bali-based DJs, in the venue's words about "celebrating and supporting local talent". The village around the garden holds Café Kitsuné, the Ina Ré restaurant and a Maison Kitsuné boutique, so dinner and the party can share an address. More in Desa Kitsuné Tuesday or Friday.
Zumana, Kuta: a headliner by the beach
Friday at Zumana, on Sunset Bay, is a headliner night, built around a headline artist. Headliner nights vary the most: some have a guestlist, others are ticketed only, and the terms can change after a night is announced. Zumana's headliner nights explains how to read them.
Savaya, Uluwatu: the weekend begins
Savaya, the clifftop club in Pecatu that DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs named number one in Asia from 2024 to 2026, keeps its international headliners for the weekend. Check whether the Friday you want is one of those nights; the calendar above shows what is published. Savaya at the weekend covers the rest.
Dinner before, in the same area
Friday is when several restaurants in the catalogue turn their evenings up a notch:
- Giselle, Canggu. A Mediterranean restaurant where, on Friday and Saturday nights, Club 55 takes over after dinner.
- Zai Cafe, Canggu. Modern Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cooking on Jalan Pantai Batu Bolong, with a DJ setting the mood on Fridays.
- Ina Ré, Canggu. The restaurant of Desa Kitsuné itself, the simplest start to a garden party night.
- Akar, Ubud. K Club's steakhouse north of Ubud, where on Friday and Saturday nights dinner turns festive with live DJs, dancers and a laser show: a Friday of its own if you are staying inland.
Giselle
Restaurants · Canggu
Giselle is a Mediterranean restaurant on Jalan Tanah Barak in Canggu, created by a group of friends with deep roots in hospitality, who call it “a house for friends, strangers, and stories”. The mood is the Riviera brought to Bali, across a dining room and a courtyard. Seafood leads the menu, with crudos, a seafood platter, sea bream sashimi and flambéed fish, alongside homemade pasta and plates for sharing, built on local, responsibly sourced ingredients. On Friday and Saturday nights, Club 55 takes over after dinner.
Zai Cafe
Restaurants · Canggu
Zai Cafe is a modern Mediterranean and Middle Eastern restaurant on Jalan Pantai Batu Bolong in Canggu, serving from breakfast through dinner. Mornings bring flatbreads, a Greek salad with homemade feta, bowls and dips such as hummus, beetroot hummus, babaganoush and tzatziki. In the evening the menu turns to dishes like octopus with harissa and orzo, or grilled prawns with a sweet passion fruit sauce. Ceremonial matcha goes into drinks and desserts, and on Fridays a DJ sets the mood.
Ina Ré
Restaurants · Canggu
Ina Ré is the restaurant of Desa Kitsuné, the lifestyle village on Jalan Munduk Catu in Canggu. Chilean executive chef Cristian Encina brings together Mediterranean flavours and Latin American street food: paellas to share, ceviches, tacos, empanadas and wood-fired meats such as the Stockyard tomahawk. The space draws on Balinese arts and crafts, with handmade materials, weavings and traditional motifs, and includes private dining rooms for groups. Sunday brunch has its own menu, and so do Courtyard Saturdays.
Akar
Restaurants · Ubud
Akar, meaning “root”, is the steakhouse of K Club in Kedisan, Tegallalang, north of Ubud, set in the greenery of the jungle. Spread over two floors with two bars and an open kitchen, it grills Australian and Japanese cuts, Wagyu included, over charcoal, alongside seafood, charcoal-roasted bone marrow and a curated wine list. On Friday and Saturday nights dinner turns festive, with live DJs, dancers and a laser show. Akar has won Best Luxury Steakhouse in Indonesia at the World Luxury Restaurant Awards.
More pairings are in dinner and a club night.
How to plan the night
- Pick one area. Canggu, Kuta and Uluwatu are separate parts of the island; a Friday that crosses them spends itself in the car. Choose the venue first, then dinner nearby.
- Open the night's page. Each date on the calendar above has its own Guestlist or Table button. A night that shows only the Table button is ticketed only.
- Register yourself. Guestlists are the venues' own: every guest registers individually, joining is free, and entry is complimentary before the cutoff shown on that night's page, reduced after it. Registration does not guarantee complimentary entry, and mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred.
- Book the table early if you want one. A table is the only reserved space; the venue sets its minimum spend per night. Friday fills: ask the concierge as soon as you know the date.
- Arrange the car home. FirstBali arranges cars with a driver through transport.
The door, on any Friday
All three venues are 21+ with a valid photo ID, a passport or driving licence, and smart casual. At Savaya the club is cashless, bags are searched, lockers are limited, and no luggage or outside food or drink is allowed. Re-entry at Savaya and Zumana is only possible with a table. The rules are gathered in the Bali club dress code.
And the rest of the weekend
A Friday rarely comes alone. Saturday brings Ritual of the Sun at Zumana and more weekend headliners at Savaya, and Sunday is Zumana Sunday and Savaya's Sunday sessions: see Bali Saturday night and Bali Sunday funday, or Bali events this weekend for the published dates.
How FirstBali helps
Tell the concierge your Friday, your area and how many you are. An assistant answers at any hour, the team through the Bali day and evening. We send the guestlist link for the night, book a table or a dinner with the venue, and arrange the car. Nothing is confirmed until the venue has confirmed it, and any deposit follows the venue's terms and is not a confirmation.
