Bali Sunday funday: brunch, beach club, sunset

A Sunday funday in Bali: brunch at Ina Ré in Canggu, then Zumana Sunday on the beach in Kuta or a Savaya Sunday on the Uluwatu clifftop, billed People of the Sun. One area, and check each day's terms.

Updated October 21, 2026 · 4 min read

A Sunday funday in Bali is a day, not a night: a long brunch, an afternoon by the sea, the sunset, and the party that grows out of it. The fixed points are Zumana Sunday, every week at the Savaya Group beach club in Kuta, and Savaya's Sundays on the Uluwatu clifftop, billed People of the Sun. Start with brunch, choose one of the two for the afternoon, and read the day's terms on its page.

Morning: brunch

Sunday starts slowly. In Canggu, Ina Ré, the restaurant of Desa Kitsuné, has a Sunday brunch with its own menu, from Chilean executive chef Cristian Encina's mix of Mediterranean flavours and Latin American street food. Ina Ré Sunday brunch covers it, and Bali Sunday brunch widens the choice.

Afternoon: two Sundays to choose from

Zumana Sunday, Kuta

Sunday is one of Zumana's regular days, named after the house itself, and it happens every week. Zumana sits on the beachfront at Sunset Bay, designed by Rockwell Group around beachfront daybeds, poolside spaces, bars and an open-air dance floor, with ZENÍA, "The Eternal Host", Daniel Popper's 10-metre sculpture, at its centre. On the regular days the guestlist gives complimentary entry during a window shown on each date's page, reduced after it. Zumana Sunday has the detail.

Savaya Sunday, Uluwatu

Savaya, the clifftop club in Pecatu that DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs named number one in Asia from 2024 to 2026, bills its Sundays People of the Sun: a sunset set over the Indian Ocean. Each Sunday has its own page and its own terms. Savaya Sunday explains how they run.

Other Sunday afternoons

  • Le Bleu, Nusa Dua. K-Club Group's blue-and-white beach club on Nusa Dua Beach; its weekly programme includes festive Sunday gatherings with a DJ.
  • White Rock Beach Club, Uluwatu. On Melasti Beach, with a lagoon pool and a rock pool, resident DJs every day and foam parties at weekends; families have a kids' pool.

Sunset, and after

The point of a Sunday funday is to be in the right place for the sunset rather than to cross the island for it. Zumana's beach faces Sunset Bay; Savaya looks over the ocean from the cliff. Stay where the afternoon started, and plan the evening from there: Bali sunset parties lists the options.

What about Desa Kitsuné? Its regular garden parties are on Tuesdays and Fridays, not Sundays; occasional one-off nights would appear on its calendar.

How to plan the day

  1. One area. Brunch in Canggu and an afternoon in Kuta or Uluwatu means a car between them; choose the afternoon first and fit brunch around it.
  2. Open the day's page. Each date has its own Guestlist or Table button; a date showing only Table is ticketed only. Official tickets come only through the venue's own channel.
  3. Register yourself. Every guest registers individually; joining is free. Registration does not guarantee complimentary entry, and mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred.
  4. Want a daybed or table? It is the only reserved space; the venue sets the minimum spend per day, and on Savaya's and Zumana's maps it "Includes Food & Beverage Credit". Re-entry at both is only possible with a table.
  5. Book the car with a driver through transport, and keep Monday in mind: Savaya's Last Light comes the next evening.

The door

Savaya and Zumana are 21+ with a valid photo ID, a passport or driving licence, and smart casual: swimwear belongs in the pools. Savaya is cashless, searches bags, has limited lockers and accepts no luggage or outside food or drink. More in the Bali beach club dress code.

The rest of the weekend

Friday and Saturday have their own plans: Bali Friday night and Bali Saturday night. Bali events this weekend shows the published dates.
