Hens party in Bali: villa, beach club, boat and dinner

A Bali hens party is a villa for the group, a beach club day, a private boat, a long dinner and one big night out, linked by drivers. Which venues welcome a hen group, and the door rules.

A hens party in Bali — a bachelorette, in American — comes together from five pieces: a villa where everyone sleeps under one roof, a day at a beach club, an afternoon on a private boat, a long group dinner and one big night out, with drivers in between. Two things decide whether it runs smoothly: reserving the spaces a group needs instead of hoping to walk in, and knowing the door rules a group of women meets at night. FirstBali arranges every piece through one conversation with the concierge. The grooms' side of the island is in the bachelor party guide.

The villa: one roof for the whole group

The villa is the piece that runs out first for a large group, so book it before anything else. Tell us the dates, how many you are and the bed layout you need: for a group of friends, how many people can sleep in proper beds matters more than the bedroom count. Ask the villa's own rules on guests, music and decorations before you plan the welcome night; they vary from one property to the next, and the answer belongs in the booking, not on the night. Browse the villas; the concierge asks the owner the questions that matter before you commit.

The beach club day

At a beach club, the daybed or the cabana is the group's base for the day; without one, a group ends up standing at the bar.

  • Finns, in Berawa, has a dedicated offer for hen parties, planned with its own team, with set-ups customised to the mood of the group — "chic, relaxed, or full party mode", in Finns' words. The offer is aimed at larger groups; a smaller group books a daybed the usual way. Finns is adults-only, and its booking form sets that at 16 and above.
  • Atlas, on the same beach, says it is "built to host unforgettable group experiences", with group bookings and premium seating.
  • White Rock, on Melasti Beach near Uluwatu, has enclosed, air-conditioned party suites overlooking the pool and the ocean: a private corner for the group when the sun is strong. Families come to White Rock too, so a suite keeps the celebration in its own space.
Finns Beach Club

Finns Beach Club

Beach clubs · Berawa

FINNS Beach Club stretches along the beachfront at Berawa, in Canggu, under a bamboo structure designed by PBM Architecture. It is adults-only and divided into several party zones, from FINNS Beach Party and FINNS Garden Party to FINNS Grey Goose Party and FINNS VIP Party, with pools, swim-up bars, private cabanas, dance floors and restaurants spread across the site. Resident DJs and live singers keep an all-day party going every day, and the club also hosts private events, birthdays and corporate groups.

Atlas Beach Club

Atlas Beach Club

Beach clubs · Berawa

Atlas Beach Club sits on Berawa Beach and bills itself as the biggest beach club in the world. Its signature beanbags sit right on the sand facing the sea, beside a vast pool and a pool bar where DJs play through the day. Daybeds and sofas are spread across distinct zones, from The Deck restaurant overlooking the beach to the Party Side in front of the stage. Daily shows draw on the four elements, and a beachfront padel court and a 100-metre flying fox complete the site.

White Rock Beach Club

White Rock Beach Club

Beach clubs · Uluwatu

White Rock Beach Club sits on Melasti Beach in Ungasan, near Uluwatu, at the end of the cliff. Guests settle on daybeds, sofas or cabanas around a lagoon pool and a rock pool; families have a kids' pool and a kids' menu. There is a spa, a large covered restaurant serving local and international dishes, and enclosed, air-conditioned party suites overlooking the pool and the ocean. Resident DJs play every day, and foam parties run at weekends. The club also hosts weddings and events.

A daybed, a cabana or a suite carries a minimum spend that the venue sets for the day; FirstBali asks for your date and passes on the amount the venue confirms.

A day on the water

A private boat is the day a hen group talks about afterwards. FirstBali's catalogue includes a private yacht sunset and party cruise — the yacht to yourselves, sunset hunting along the coast, music on board, with crew, a guide, drinks and snacks included — and a full day of island hopping to Nusa Penida, with Manta Point, Crystal Bay and snorkelling. Keep the boat away from the morning after the big night. Every trip is in the Bali boat party guide.

The group dinner

Choose a restaurant that says it hosts groups, not one that will squeeze twelve chairs round a table for six:

  • MîA, in Berawa, hosts private events, from birthday celebrations to intimate dinners, with a team that shapes the event around the occasion.
  • BELLA, on Jalan Pantai Berawa, is available for private hire for special occasions, and on an ordinary night it turns into a party around its DJ booth.
  • Ina Ré, at Desa Kitsuné, offers private dining with tailored menus.
  • Miss Fish, in Berawa, tailors menus, seating and the bar for private and group events, and DJs take over later in the evening.
MiA

MiA

Restaurants · Berawa

MîA is a modern Asian restaurant and bar on Jalan Raya Semat in Tibubeneng, in the Berawa part of Canggu. The menu is built for sharing, pairing Asian heritage with contemporary technique: Wagyu gyoza with karashi, soft-shell crab with amazu ponzu, Chilean sea bass tempura and Thai green curry. Carefully crafted drinks are made to match the food, and the setting blends modern style with traditional touches under the open Bali sky. A table here is made for gathering friends.

BELLA

BELLA

Restaurants · Berawa

BELLA is a contemporary Mediterranean and Middle Eastern restaurant on Jalan Pantai Berawa, run by The SEN Group. Executive chef Oğuz Karadoğan, formerly of Lokanta 1741 in Istanbul, cooks a wood-fired menu made for sharing: lamb meatballs in rich tomato sauce with Hokkaido bread, a Mediterranean ceviche of seabass, kefir and gremolata, a whole roasted cauliflower with tahini. The room is built around an open kitchen, a long bar and a DJ booth, and the evening turns into a party, with weekly Taverna nights and Kitchen Party.

Ina Ré

Ina Ré

Restaurants · Canggu

Ina Ré is the restaurant of Desa Kitsuné, the lifestyle village on Jalan Munduk Catu in Canggu. Chilean executive chef Cristian Encina brings together Mediterranean flavours and Latin American street food: paellas to share, ceviches, tacos, empanadas and wood-fired meats such as the Stockyard tomahawk. The space draws on Balinese arts and crafts, with handmade materials, weavings and traditional motifs, and includes private dining rooms for groups. Sunday brunch has its own menu, and so do Courtyard Saturdays.

Miss Fish

Miss Fish

Restaurants · Berawa

Miss Fish is a Japanese restaurant and late-night venue on Jalan Raya Semat in Berawa, Canggu, open since 2022. Executive Chef Carlos Barvo leads a seasonal omakase that pairs Japanese technique with European and Latin American influences. Guests choose between the Omakase Bar, a chef-guided onyx counter, the open-air Patio and the Lounge for cocktails and shared plates, and the bar holds more than 40 sakes and Japanese whiskies. Later in the evening, DJs take over. Dress code: smart casual.

More rooms that take a long table are in the group dinner guide.

The big night out

For the main night, a table is the only reserved space: a sofa, a booth or a daybed that belongs to the group all night, with a minimum spend set by the venue for that night. At Savaya and Zumana, re-entry is only permitted with a table reservation. Pick the night from what is announced:

In Seminyak, Les Toilettes and MUIN take tables too, and Les Toilettes shares its address with Sardine, so dinner and the club happen in one place.

The door rules for a hen group

These are the venues' own published rules. Read them before anyone packs.

  • 21+, with ID. Savaya, Zumana, Desa Kitsuné, Les Toilettes and MUIN are all 21+. Savaya and Zumana ask for a valid photo ID, a passport or a driver's licence; Les Toilettes asks for a valid government-issued photo ID or a passport. One friend under 21 means one friend outside: see the Bali clubs age limit.
  • Women-only groups. Savaya, Zumana and Desa Kitsuné say that mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred. A hen group can still register for a guestlist, but nothing guarantees entry; if the night matters, ask about a table.
  • Costumes and props. El Kabron states that themed costumes are strictly not allowed, and lists wedding dresses among the items it refuses. Savaya and Zumana list toys, props and inflatables among the items not allowed in, and bags are inspected. Our advice: keep the veil, the sashes and the props for the villa, and ask before taking them anywhere else.
  • Smart casual. Savaya and Zumana refuse work jeans or denim, beer-branded singlets, cut-off clothing and athletic sportswear, with swimwear in the pools only; Zumana and Desa Kitsuné also refuse flip-flops; Les Toilettes refuses sandals, flip-flops, athletic wear and swimwear. Details in the Bali club dress code.
  • Arrive steady. All three Savaya Group venues refuse intoxicated guests. A boat day followed by a club night is a plan; the door at the end of it is a test.

Drivers for every leg

A group needs one vehicle that takes everyone and a driver who waits. FirstBali's fleet includes vans with a driver for a whole group and people carriers with a driver for a smaller one, booked by the day or the evening. See the fleet.

How FirstBali arranges it

Send the concierge the dates, how many you are, where you would like to stay and the moments the bride cares about. We ask each venue and each owner for availability and the real amounts; you decide, piece by piece, and each booking is yours once the venue or the owner confirms it.

Questions we get asked

+Is Bali good for a hens party?

Yes, if it is planned as a few booked pieces: a villa for the group, a beach club daybed, a private boat, a group dinner and a club table, with drivers between them. FirstBali arranges each piece through the concierge.

+Can a group of girls get into Savaya?

Savaya, Zumana and Desa Kitsuné say mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred. A women-only group can register for the guestlist, but entry is never guaranteed; a table is the only reserved space.

+Does Finns Beach Club do hen parties?

Yes. Finns has a dedicated offer for hen groups, planned with its own team, with set-ups customised to the group. Finns is adults-only, 16 and above according to its booking form.

+Can we wear hen party costumes and sashes in Bali clubs?

Check first. El Kabron says themed costumes are strictly not allowed, and Savaya and Zumana refuse toys, props and inflatables. Keep them for the villa and ask the venue before bringing them anywhere else.

+What age do you need to be for clubs on a Bali hens weekend?

21. Savaya, Zumana, Desa Kitsuné, Les Toilettes and MUIN are all 21+ and check ID, such as a passport. A friend under 21 will not get in, whatever the booking.

+How does a hen group get around Bali?

With a van or a people carrier and a driver who waits, booked by the day or the evening. FirstBali arranges it with the rest of the weekend.
