Bali wedding after party: venues that host private events

Planning a wedding after party in Bali? Le Bleu, White Rock, Akar and Desa Kitsuné publish wedding or private-event offers; Sardine, Savaya and Zumana suit a group night. What each venue says.

For a wedding after party in Bali, there are two routes: a venue that publishes a wedding or private-event offer, or a group night at a club with a table. Among the venues FirstBali lists, Le Bleu in Nusa Dua and White Rock near Uluwatu publish wedding offers, Akar north of Ubud says it can assist with events and can be booked for a whole evening, and Desa Kitsuné in Canggu invites private events. Nothing below is a promise: each venue decides what it can host, for which date, on its own terms.

Venues that publish a wedding offer

Le Bleu by K Club, on Nusa Dua Beach, puts weddings on its own page: "Celebrate your love in timeless elegance at Le Bleu, where every wedding becomes a beautiful story in life." It is a beachfront restaurant and beach club in a blue-and-white Riviera style, with sunbeds, cabanas, terraces and an indoor dining room, and a seafood-led kitchen with vegetarian and vegan options. For a reception that moves on into the evening, or a welcome or farewell gathering, it is the most explicit offer on this list.

White Rock Beach Club, on Melasti Beach in Ungasan, has a wedding venue section, a multifunction hall and a MICE and wedding menu on its site. It also has enclosed, air-conditioned party suites overlooking the pool and the ocean, resident DJs every day, a large covered restaurant, and a kids' pool, which helps when families are among the guests.

Venues that host private events

Akar, the K Club steakhouse in Kedisan, Tegallalang, answers the question on its own FAQ: "we can assist in organizing a variety of events and special occasions at the restaurant." The whole restaurant can be booked for an evening, in advance and with a deposit set by the restaurant, and its Private Event page promises to keep "your celebration... as private and distinctive as the people you choose to share it with." On Friday and Saturday nights, dinner there turns festive with live DJs, dancers and a laser show. It suits a wedding party staying around Ubud.

Desa Kitsuné, the Savaya Group's lifestyle village in Canggu, has a private events page: "Hold your private events in Desa Kitsune." The grounds hold The Garden, with its pool, bars, cabanas, bungalows and daybeds, Café Kitsuné, the Ina Ré restaurant and a Maison Kitsuné boutique, and Ina Ré has private dining rooms "designed to create an intimate experience." Its garden parties on Tuesdays and Fridays are 21+ and smart casual.

Dinner, then a club, at one address

Sardine in Seminyak publishes no wedding or private-event offer; its site speaks of guests "celebrating a special occasion." What it has is geography: Les Toilettes, the K-Club Group's nightclub, is at the same address, so a group dinner and a late night can happen in one place. Les Toilettes is 21+ with a smart casual code.

A group night at Savaya or Zumana

If the after party is the wedding party going out together, a table is the way to do it. At Savaya on the Uluwatu clifftop and Zumana at Sunset Bay in Kuta, a table is the only reserved space, its minimum spend is set by the venue for each night, and the table is yours once the venue confirms it. Both are 21+ with a valid photo ID, and re-entry is only with a table. A guestlist registration is individual and does not guarantee entry, so for a group it is not the plan. See our group night at Savaya and large group night out guides.

Questions to settle before you ask a venue

  1. Private hire or a reserved area? A venue booked whole is a different request from a few tables in a public night.
  2. Who comes: children, older relatives and guests under 21 change which venues fit; clubs here are 21+.
  3. Music: a resident DJ, your own DJ, or live music. Each venue sets its own rules.
  4. Dress code for guests: see the Bali club dress code.
  5. Getting everyone home: plan the transport before the night, not at the end of it. Our van with driver guide covers groups.

How FirstBali helps

Tell the concierge the date, the area, how many guests and what kind of night you have in mind. FirstBali passes the request to the venues that fit, brings back their answers and terms, and checks what can be arranged around it, from tables to transport. Nothing is confirmed until the venue confirms it, and any deposit follows the venue's terms. Our assistant replies at any hour; the team picks up through the Bali day and evening.
