Savaya for a big group or a bachelor party

Taking a big group or a bachelor party to Savaya: mixed groups and couples are preferred and the door decides, so book a table, check every ID and outfit, and move everyone by minibus.

A big group can have a great night at Savaya, but the door has rules that bite harder on a group than on a couple. Savaya states that mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred, every guest must be 21 or over with a photo ID and dressed smart casual, and management decides on the night. The answer for a group is a table: the only reserved space, booked in the group's name, with re-entry. Then one vehicle with a driver, both ways.

How Savaya's door sees a group

These are the venue's own terms:

  • "Mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred." A group of men only, or women only, is not refused by rule, but it is not what the venue says it prefers.
  • Management decides. The venue reserves the right to refuse entry at its discretion, can cap capacity at any time, and a guestlist registration never guarantees entry.
  • Everyone is 21 or over. Savaya strictly enforces a 21+ policy, and each person needs a current, valid photo ID. One guest under 21 means one guest outside.
  • The dress code applies to each person. One pair of denim shorts or one beer-branded singlet is enough to stop someone at the door. See the Savaya dress code.

The guestlist with a group

On a night with a guestlist, a group can use it, but each person registers on their own: "Guests are required to register individually for each event they wish to attend." The form asks how many women and men are in the party, so declare the group as it is: the venue states that false information means you are not added. Complimentary entry runs until the cutoff shown on the night's page, so for everyone to get it, everyone has to be through the door by then. Ticketed-only nights have no list at all. The details are in the Savaya guestlist guide.

Why a table makes sense for a group

  • It is booked, not hoped for. A table is reserved for the group on that night, once Savaya has confirmed it.
  • The group stays together. General admission seating is limited and first come, first served, according to Savaya's FAQ. A table is one place for everyone to meet and come back to.
  • Re-entry. Only a table reservation allows you to leave and come back in, which matters when people arrive at different moments.
  • Areas sized for groups. On the venue's table maps, each area has its own minimum party size, and the largest groups go to Cabanas, Bungalows and Ocean Edge View, with sofa areas on the main deck, by the dance floor and by the DJ for mid-sized groups.

The minimum spend is set by Savaya for each area and each night and includes food and beverage credit. We do not quote it; FirstBali confirms it with the venue for your date. How the map works is in Savaya table booking.

Bachelor and bachelorette nights

Savaya can be the big night of a stag or hen weekend, as long as the group plans for the venue's rules rather than against them:

  • Leave the props behind. Toys, props and inflatables are on Savaya's list of items not allowed in, and bags are searched. Costumes, inflatables and party accessories belong to the villa or the boat, not the club.
  • Matching outfits, yes; beer-branded singlets, no. If the group dresses alike, make it smart casual, without denim, cut-offs or sportswear.
  • Pace the day. A boat or a beach club in the afternoon and Savaya at night make a long day, and management can refuse entry at its discretion.
  • One organiser. Let one person deal with the concierge, and give the final numbers as soon as you have them.

The rest of the weekend, from the villa to the boat day, is in the bachelor party guide and the hen party guide.

Moving the group

Savaya is on the cliffs of Pecatu, at the southern tip of the island. A group arriving in three separate cars arrives in three separate moments, and leaves the same way. One vehicle with a driver keeps everyone together, there and back:

  • Toyota Hiace Premio — a minibus with a driver, for a big group.
  • Toyota Alphard — a large luxury people-carrier with a driver, for a smaller group that wants comfort.
  • Two vehicles — if part of the group wants to leave earlier, say so when you book: two cars arranged in advance are easier than one found at the door.

Fix the return before you leave. Details on each vehicle are in van with driver in Bali and on the transport page.

Before the group leaves the villa

  1. Every ID, in every pocket: passport or driver's licence, valid and current.
  2. Every outfit checked against the dress code.
  3. Cards, not cash. Savaya is a cashless venue.
  4. No luggage, no props. Lockers are limited, first come, first served.
  5. The driver's number saved on more than one phone.

How FirstBali arranges it

Send the concierge the date, the exact number of guests, how many women and men, and where you are staying. FirstBali asks Savaya for a table that fits the group and comes back with the venue's answer and minimum spend; the table is yours once the venue confirms it. The minibus or the Alphard goes in the same conversation. The assistant replies at any hour; anything that needs the team overnight is picked up in the morning.

Questions we get asked

+Can a big group get into Savaya?

Yes, but Savaya states that mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred and management can refuse entry. For a big group, a table booked in advance is the reliable way in, once the venue has confirmed it.

+Can a group of guys get into Savaya?

A group of men is not refused by rule, but Savaya says mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred and a guestlist registration never guarantees entry. A table is the way to have a reserved place.

+Is Savaya good for a bachelor party?

It can be the big night of a stag weekend if the group follows the rules: everyone 21+ with photo ID, smart casual, no props or inflatables, and ideally a table booked in advance.

+Does each person in a group need to register for the Savaya guestlist?

Yes. Savaya requires guests to register individually for each event they wish to attend, and the form asks the make-up of the group.

+Which table at Savaya suits a large group?

On the venue's table maps, Cabanas, Bungalows and Ocean Edge View take the largest groups, with sofa areas for mid-sized ones. Availability and minimum spend change each night.

+How do we get a group to Savaya?

In one vehicle with a driver, booked for the return too: FirstBali arranges a Toyota Hiace Premio minibus for a big group or a Toyota Alphard for a smaller one.
