For a restaurant in Seminyak, start with Sardine on Jalan Petitenget: the K-Club Group's seafood restaurant, an open-air bamboo building over a stretch of rice paddies, cooking the daily catch in a modern Mediterranean style. Its club, Les Toilettes, is at the same address, and MU:IN is on the same street, so dinner and the late part of the night happen in one place. For any other Seminyak restaurant, the concierge takes the request and asks on your behalf.
Eating in Seminyak
Seminyak suits an evening where dinner is the point rather than an afterthought to the beach. FirstBali's Seminyak addresses are all on Jalan Petitenget, so the restaurant and the clubs are on the same road. How a whole night is put together, from dinner to the last song, is in Seminyak at night. This guide is about the table.
Sardine: seafood over the rice paddies
Sardine by K-Club sums itself up as "fresh seafood and Mediterranean soul". The building is open-air bamboo with a hidden view over rice fields, and the terrace looks straight onto them; at night the paddies are lit.
The kitchen takes its fish from the Indian Ocean every day — yellowfin tuna, scallops, snapper — and cooks it in a modern Mediterranean style at dinner, with local seafood and tropical flavours at lunch. The vegetables are organic, grown on the restaurant's own farms. A Vegetarian Set Menu gives non-fish-eaters a full dinner rather than a side dish, and a Pasta Day puts freshly made pasta on the table. Everything else about the kitchen is in our Sardine guide.
Lunch or dinner?
Lunch at Sardine is, in its own words, "a long, breezy lunch where the view is as good as the service": the rice fields in daylight and no hurry. Dinner is the occasion, and the room changes with the week. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, Magic Night brings close-up magic to the tables. Once a month, The Gates of Bali fills the evening with fire dance, aerial silks and hoop performances. Ask the concierge which night falls on your dates.
Groups, birthdays and private dinners
Sardine is used to celebrations: weddings and anniversaries, birthdays "overlooking Bali's rice fields", and business dinners. It has four spaces to work with — a terrace where tables are joined for a group, a dining area that can be set up as a private room, a main bar with sofas for a standing or seated reception, and an open-air ricefield area for larger gatherings. Say the number and the occasion in your first message; a long table is a seating plan the restaurant has to arrange. Ideas for the evening around it are in a birthday party in Bali and a group dinner in Bali.
After dinner: Les Toilettes and MU:IN
Les Toilettes is Sardine's hidden club, run by the same group at the same address on Jalan Petitenget. The club says diners at Sardine get a free pass into Les Toilettes; the door still has the last word. It serves signature cocktails, bites and bottle service. Entry is 21 and over, with a government-issued photo ID or passport, and the dress code is smart casual: no flip-flops, sandals, sportswear or swimwear. More in our Les Toilettes guide.
MU:IN, a nightlife brand born in Seoul, is also on Jalan Petitenget: a sound-and-light club with VIP sofas looking onto the floor, also 21 and over. See our MU:IN guide.
Les Toilettes
Clubs · Seminyak
Les Toilettes is the K-Club Group's nightclub on Jalan Petitenget in Seminyak, at the same address as Sardine, the group's seafood restaurant, so dinner and a late night can happen in one place. Now in its 2.0 version, the club draws on club concepts from around the world. Entry is for guests aged 21 and over, at the door's discretion, and the dress code is smart: no flip-flops, sandals or sportswear.
MUIN
Clubs · Seminyak
MU:IN Bali brings a nightlife brand born in Seoul to Jalan Petitenget in Seminyak. The club is designed around sound and sightlines: a towering sound system, immersive lasers, a kinetic lighting rig with LED production, and a stage that puts the DJ in the middle of the crowd. Resident DJs and international guests rotate through weekly signature nights, while VIP sofas with bottle service look straight onto the main floor. Entry is for guests aged 21 and over.
If the night goes on to a club, dress for the club door at dinner time and the evening needs no change of clothes. The detail is in the Bali club dress code.
