Zumana is on the beachfront at Sunset Bay Kuta, Jl. Kartika Plaza No.2, in Kuta — near Bali's airport, at the southern end of the Kuta, Legian and Seminyak coast. By car or scooter, the venue's closest parking is at Discovery Mall; by ride-hailing app, the drop-off is across the street from Waterbom Bali. Whichever way you arrive, book the way home before you leave: a driver who is there when you walk out.

Where Zumana is

Zumana gives its address as Sunset Bay Kuta, Jl. Kartika Plaza No.2, Kuta, in the Badung regency. Kuta is near Bali's Ngurah Rai Airport, and Legian and Seminyak are its northern extensions. Of the three Savaya Group venues, Zumana is the one in Kuta; Savaya is on the clifftops of Uluwatu and Desa Kitsuné in Canggu.

Zumana sits on the beach itself, inside Sunset Bay Kuta: whichever way you come, you finish on foot, through the complex and along the beachfront. Shoes you can walk in — and that are not flip-flops, which the door refuses — make that part easy.

By car or scooter: where to park

From Zumana's own FAQ: "The closest parking for both cars and motorbikes is at Discovery Mall." From the parking area:

  1. follow the signs to Sunset Bay Kuta;
  2. Zumana is on the northeast side;
  3. go to the ground floor;
  4. head towards the beachfront, where you will find Zumana.

Driving yourself means driving home after the night, which is why most guests are better off with a driver — see below. If you rent a car or a scooter for the rest of the trip, the scooter licence guide covers the permit you need.

By ride-hailing app or with a driver

Zumana's advice for app rides is to set the destination to "Zumana Bali", the most convenient drop-off point at Sunset Bay Kuta. From there:

  1. the drop-off area is across the street from Waterbom Bali;
  2. take the stairs or the escalator into Sunset Bay Kuta;
  3. continue past Zazzy's Pizzeria;
  4. follow the beachfront to Zumana.

With a private driver, give the same destination and agree before you get out where the driver will wait or pick you up, and keep their number on your phone.

Why book the way home before you go

The way back is the part that goes wrong, and official travel advice explains why. The UK Foreign Office reports "a large increase in moped and motorbike accidents – some fatal – in Bali", and warns travellers to "be wary of drivers claiming to be registered with app companies and trying to pick up passengers on the street."

A driver booked in advance takes both risks out of the evening: you know the car, you know who is driving, and the driver is there when you walk out. After a night at a beach club, a scooter is not the way home. If your group will split — some leaving after the sunset, others staying for the night — say so when you book: two cars arranged in advance are easier than one found at the door.

Through the transport page or the concierge, FirstBali arranges cars with a driver, from an everyday car to a Toyota Alphard or a van for a larger group; the car is yours once its owner confirms. More in hiring a private driver in Bali.

What to bring

  • Photo ID, the original. Zumana strictly enforces a 21+ policy and accepts a valid passport or driver's licence.
  • A card. In the venue's words: "We only accept card & QRIS payments. No cash."
  • Your entry. The digital ticket emailed after your guestlist registration, or a ticket bought from Zumana's own channel — on ticketed nights the ID must match the name on the ticket.
  • The right clothes. Smart casual, no flip-flops, swimwear in your bag for the pools only; the full list is in the Zumana dress code.
  • A charged phone, with your driver's number saved.

And leave behind what the bag check will stop. Bags are searched, with metal detectors and body checks, and Zumana does not allow outside food or drink, candy, toys, props, inflatables, professional cameras, tripods, drones or sharp objects.

Plan to stay once you are in

Re-entry is not permitted at Zumana unless a table reservation has been purchased. Without a table, the moment you leave is the end of your night, so set the pick-up for when you will leave, not for a quick trip back to the hotel. With a table, see a guest experience officer before stepping out. How tables work: Zumana table booking.

If something goes wrong

In an emergency in Indonesia, call 112. For anything else — a driver who has not arrived, a change of plan — write to the concierge: an assistant answers at any hour, and the team picks up during its working hours, Bali time. Advice for the rest of the evening is in Bali night out safety.
