Beach club lunch in Bali: where the kitchen is the draw
Lunch at a Bali beach club works best where there is a real restaurant on site: Le Bleu, El Kabron, White Rock, Atlas or Zumana. How to choose the table, the bed and the afternoon after.
Updated November 8, 2026 · 4 min read

For lunch at a beach club in Bali, pick a club with a proper restaurant on site rather than a bar menu by the pool: Le Bleu in Nusa Dua, El Kabron and White Rock near Uluwatu, Atlas in Berawa and Zumana in Kuta all have one. Decide first whether you want a table to eat at or a bed to stay on, because the two are booked differently. FirstBali asks the club for you through the concierge, and the booking is yours once the club confirms it.
Table or bed: decide before you book
A beach club lunch can mean two different things.
- A restaurant table — you sit down to eat, as you would anywhere else, with the beach or the pool in view. This suits a lunch that is about the food.
- A daybed, sofa or cabana — you eat where you lie, and keep the seat for the afternoon. Clubs usually ask for a minimum spend on food and drink for these, set by the club.
If you want both, say so: some groups book a table for lunch and move to the pool afterwards. Our guide to daybeds explains how those seats work.
Zumana, Kuta: lunch at the Savaya Group's beach club
Zumana sits at Sunset Bay in Kuta and is open every day. It is a Savaya Group property designed around beachfront daybeds, poolside spaces, bars and an open-air dance floor, with ZENÍA, a ten-metre sculpture by Daniel Popper, at its centre. Its restaurant is Manuza; the club has not yet published a cuisine or a menu for it, so we do not describe one. The concierge asks the club what it serves at midday; lunch there makes most sense if you plan to stay: the weekly programme runs Zumana Sunday, headliners on Wednesdays and Fridays, and Ritual of the Sun on Saturdays. Entry is 21+, with photo ID, and the dress code is smart casual.

Le Bleu, Nusa Dua: the sit-down lunch
Le Bleu by K Club is a beachfront restaurant and beach club on Nusa Dua Beach, all blue and white, with sunbeds, cabanas, terraces and an indoor dining room. The kitchen leans on seafood, from lobster linguine to yellowfin tuna tataki, with vegetarian and vegan options. It is the clearest choice on this list when the meal itself is the point, and the indoor room is there if the sun is too much.
El Kabron and White Rock: lunch on the Bukit
On the Pecatu cliffs, El Kabron has a Mediterranean restaurant serving seafood, oysters, paella and steak, beside the adults-only Hedonism Lounge with its infinity pool. Further along, White Rock Beach Club on Melasti Beach has a large covered restaurant with local and international dishes; families have a kids' pool and a kids' menu there, which makes it the one for a lunch with children.
El Kabron
Beach clubs · Uluwatu
El Kabron stands on the limestone cliffs of Pecatu in Uluwatu, above the Indian Ocean, and has been open since 2011. It has three parts: the Hedonism Lounge, an adults-only infinity-pool area with daybeds and sofas; the Sunset Theater at the cliff edge, set up for sunset dinners; and a Mediterranean restaurant serving seafood, oysters, paella and steak. Its sunset parties bring DJs with live saxophone, violin and trumpet, with the White Sunset Party, the Afro House Sunset Party and pool parties among the weekly regulars.
White Rock Beach Club
Beach clubs · Uluwatu
White Rock Beach Club sits on Melasti Beach in Ungasan, near Uluwatu, at the end of the cliff. Guests settle on daybeds, sofas or cabanas around a lagoon pool and a rock pool; families have a kids' pool and a kids' menu. There is a spa, a large covered restaurant serving local and international dishes, and enclosed, air-conditioned party suites overlooking the pool and the ocean. Resident DJs play every day, and foam parties run at weekends. The club also hosts weddings and events.
Atlas, Luna and Reef: three more kitchens
- Atlas Beach Club, Berawa — The Deck restaurant overlooks the beach, apart from the Party Side in front of the stage.
- Luna Beach Club, Tabanan — Restaurant 369 sits within the clifftop complex at Nuanu, alongside two pools and the Gardenia tree pods.
- Reef Beach Club, Nusa Dua — on the sand at The Apurva Kempinski, beside the resort's infinity pool.
From lunch to the afternoon
Beach clubs are built for staying. If lunch is the start of a long day, book the seat you will want in the late afternoon, not just at lunch. Think about:
- Sunset — the clubs on the west and south coasts face it; El Kabron and Zumana hold sunset parties. Our sunset spots guide covers the rest.
- The night after — Zumana's evenings carry on at the same address, and Savaya is on the same Pecatu clifftop as El Kabron. See the day-to-night guide for Uluwatu.
- The ride home — arrange it before you sit down, not when the bill comes. A driver waits for you.
Our advice
- Book a weekend or high-season lunch ahead; on a quiet weekday there is more choice.
- Ask the club whether children are welcome at lunch: El Kabron's Hedonism Lounge is adults-only, White Rock has a kids' menu.
- Bring sun protection and a change of clothes if you will go on to dinner.
- Any deposit follows the club's terms and is not a confirmation; the club confirms the booking.
How FirstBali helps
Tell the concierge the day, the area, the size of the group and whether you want a table or a bed. An assistant answers at any hour, the team through the Bali day and evening; the team asks the club what it can offer and comes back to you. Nothing is booked until the club confirms it.

Questions we get asked
+Can I just go to a Bali beach club for lunch?
Yes, at clubs with a restaurant on site such as Le Bleu, El Kabron, White Rock, Atlas or Zumana. Booking ahead is wise at weekends and in high season.
+Is a daybed needed to eat at a beach club?
No. A restaurant table is a separate booking; a daybed is for staying the afternoon, usually against a minimum spend set by the club.
+Which beach club suits a lunch with children?
White Rock Beach Club has a kids' pool and a kids' menu. Zumana is 21+ and El Kabron's Hedonism Lounge is adults-only.
+What is served at Manuza, Zumana's restaurant?
Zumana has not yet published a cuisine or menu for Manuza. The concierge can ask the club.
+Can I stay on after lunch for sunset?
That is what a daybed or sofa is for. Tell the concierge you want to stay, and it asks the club for a seat for the whole afternoon.
+Is my lunch booked once I pay a deposit?
No. A deposit follows the club's terms and is not a confirmation; the booking is yours once the club confirms it.
