Uluwatu day to night: beach club, sunset, then Savaya

An Uluwatu day to night on the cliffs: an afternoon at White Rock on Melasti Beach, the sunset at El Kabron, then Savaya. Or one day at Savaya on a Sunday or a Last Light Monday.

An Uluwatu day to night has three acts, all on the Bukit cliffs: an afternoon by the pools at White Rock Beach Club on Melasti Beach, the sunset at El Kabron on the Pecatu cliffs, then the night at Savaya. If you would rather stay in one place, Savaya itself can be the whole day on a Sunday, or the sunset on a Last Light Monday.

The shape of an Uluwatu day

FirstBali's catalogue has three Uluwatu venues, and each one owns a part of the day. White Rock is built for the afternoon, El Kabron for the sunset, and Savaya for the night. Choose the day of the week first, because it decides what Savaya is doing, then fill in the rest.

Afternoon: White Rock on Melasti Beach

White Rock Beach Club sits on Melasti Beach in Ungasan, at the end of the cliff. Guests settle on daybeds, sofas or cabanas around a lagoon pool and a rock pool. There is a spa, a large covered restaurant serving local and international dishes, and enclosed, air-conditioned party suites overlooking the pool and the ocean. Resident DJs play every day, and foam parties run at weekends. For a group, a cabana or a party suite is the way to hold your place; the club sets its own terms. More in the White Rock guide.

Sunset: El Kabron on the Pecatu cliffs

El Kabron stands on the limestone cliffs of Pecatu above the Indian Ocean. The Hedonism Lounge is an adults-only infinity-pool area with daybeds and sofas; the Sunset Theater at the cliff edge is set up for sunset dinners; and the Mediterranean restaurant serves seafood, oysters, paella and steak. Its sunset parties bring DJs with live saxophone, violin and trumpet, with the White Sunset Party, the Afro House Sunset Party and pool parties among the weekly regulars.

This is also where the day becomes dinner: stay at the Sunset Theater or the restaurant after the light goes. See the El Kabron guide.

Night: Savaya

Savaya is the clifftop club in Pecatu, between jungle and limestone cliffs, with pools and The Cube framing the horizon. DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs named it the number-one club in Asia from 2024 to 2026 and fifth in the world in 2026, as Savaya reports. It is open daily, with international headliners at weekends; some of those nights are ticketed only.

Or spend the whole day at Savaya

Two of Savaya's weekly programmes change the plan:

  • Sunday, People of the Sun: Savaya's Sunday programme, so the afternoon and the night can happen at the same address. See Savaya on Sunday.
  • Monday, Last Light: a sunset set played from The Cube. Here Savaya takes El Kabron's place in the day: an afternoon at White Rock, then the sunset at Savaya. See Savaya's Last Light.

Getting in at night

A daybed at White Rock or a dinner at El Kabron does not get you into Savaya. Depending on the night, you need:

  1. Your own guestlist registration, when the night has a list: each guest registers on the night's page and gets a digital ticket by email. It is free; entry is complimentary before the cutoff shown on the night's page and reduced after, and it does not guarantee complimentary entry: management decides, and mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred.
  2. An official ticket, on ticketed-only nights, sold only through Savaya's own channel.
  3. A table, the only reserved space, with a minimum spend set by Savaya per night that includes food and beverage credit on its map. It is yours once Savaya confirms it; any deposit follows the venue's terms. A table is also the only way to leave and come back in.

What to bring for a day that ends at Savaya

  • A valid photo ID, passport or driver's licence: Savaya is strictly 21+.
  • A change of clothes: swimwear for the afternoon, smart casual for the night. See the Savaya dress code.
  • A small bag: Savaya searches bags, has limited lockers and accepts no luggage, and it is cashless. See what to bring to Savaya.
  • One driver for the day, so the car moves with you between the beach, the cliffs and the club. See a private driver in Bali.

How FirstBali helps

Tell the concierge the day and the group. We check what can be arranged — a cabana, a sunset table, a Savaya table, a driver — and ask each venue; each booking is yours only once that venue confirms it. Guestlists are Savaya's own, linked from /events. An assistant answers at any hour, the team through the Bali day and evening.
