Bali night out checklist: what to sort before you leave
Before a club night in Bali: the night's page checked, your own registration or a confirmed table, photo ID, the right shoes, a light bag, a way to pay and the ride home booked.

A Bali night out goes smoothly when six things are settled before you leave: the night's own page read, your place on it (your own guestlist registration, a ticket from the venue's channel or a table the venue has confirmed), a passport or driver's licence, an outfit that meets the dress code, a small bag, and the ride home. The checklist below follows the published terms of Savaya, Zumana and Desa Kitsuné, which are the strictest you are likely to meet; tick it off in the afternoon, not at the door.

1. The night's page, read today
Terms change from one night to the next, so the page of the exact night is the only reference. Open it from the events calendar and check three things: whether the night has a guestlist or is ticketed only, the cutoff it shows for complimentary entry, and whether the venue has changed anything. A night that was ticketed only can open a list later; a list you saw last week says nothing about tonight.
2. Your place on the night
Tick one of these, not "we'll see at the door":
- A guestlist registration in your own name. At the three partner clubs every guest registers individually, for that event, on the night's page, and receives a digital ticket by email. Joining is free; entry is complimentary before the cutoff shown on the page and reduced after. Registration "does not guarantee complimentary entry": management decides.
- A ticket, bought only through the venue's own channel. At Savaya, tickets are "primarily for standing room only".
- A table the venue has confirmed. A table is the only reserved space; its minimum spend is set by the venue for that night, and any deposit follows the venue's terms without being a confirmation. FirstBali books it with the venue through the concierge.
3. Photo ID for everyone
All three partner clubs are 21+ and ask for a valid photo ID: a passport or a driver's licence. Check that every person in the group has theirs, not a photo of it on a phone. Bali club ID and passport covers the details.
4. The outfit and the shoes
Smart casual is the safe line in the clubs; shoes are where most refusals start. Check the venue's dress code against what you packed before you get dressed, using the Bali club dress code and club shoes.
5. A light bag and a way to pay
- Bag: small. Savaya searches bags, has limited lockers, accepts no luggage and no outside food or drink. Coming straight from the airport or a check-out? Leave the suitcase somewhere else first; bags and lockers explains why.
- Payment: Savaya is cashless, so bring a card or phone that works for payment. Cashless clubs in Bali has the rest.
- Phone charged. Your digital ticket, your ID check and your ride home all run through it.
6. The group, agreed
Agree who is in before you register: each person needs their own registration, and the clubs state that "mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred". If someone joins late, they register themselves on the night's page. For a table, give the concierge the final number, because the venue seats what it confirmed.
7. Arrival planned around the cutoff
Arriving after the cutoff on the night's page changes the entry terms, so plan dinner and the drive backwards from it. If you want dinner on the same grounds, Ina Ré is the restaurant of Desa Kitsuné in Canggu. At Savaya and Zumana, re-entry is only possible with a table: once you are in, plan to stay in.
Ina Ré
Restaurants · Canggu
Ina Ré is the restaurant of Desa Kitsuné, the lifestyle village on Jalan Munduk Catu in Canggu. Chilean executive chef Cristian Encina brings together Mediterranean flavours and Latin American street food: paellas to share, ceviches, tacos, empanadas and wood-fired meats such as the Stockyard tomahawk. The space draws on Balinese arts and crafts, with handmade materials, weavings and traditional motifs, and includes private dining rooms for groups. Sunday brunch has its own menu, and so do Courtyard Saturdays.
Desa Kitsuné
Clubs · Canggu
Desa Kitsuné is a lifestyle village in the heart of Canggu — desa means village — set in a 5,000 m² garden by the Savaya Group with the French-Japanese brand Maison Kitsuné. Café Kitsuné, the Ina Ré restaurant and a Maison Kitsuné boutique share the grounds, and every Tuesday and Friday the Garden becomes the party, rain or shine: guest DJs on Tuesdays, Bali-based DJs on Fridays. Parties are 21+, smart casual.
8. The ride home, booked
Book the return with the night. A car with a driver who waits removes the hunt for a ride at the end of the evening; FirstBali arranges cars with driver. Never ride a scooter after drinking.
9. One number
Save 112, the emergency number, in every phone in the group.
If something is missing
If the night has no list, the table you wanted is not confirmed, or the plan changes in the afternoon, write to the concierge: an assistant answers at any hour, the team through the Bali day and evening, and checks what can be arranged with the venue. Nothing is confirmed until the venue confirms it.
