Bali night out before a flight: luggage, ID, ride home

Going out in Bali the night before you fly? Leave the luggage behind — Savaya allows none — keep your passport safe, settle up cashless and have the ride home arranged first.

Updated October 26, 2026 · 4 min read

You can go out in Bali the night before a flight, but plan it around your luggage, not the other way round. Clubs are not left-luggage rooms: Savaya does not allow luggage at all, bags are searched and lockers are limited. Leave the cases at your hotel or villa, carry only what you need, and arrange the ride home before the night starts. The concierge can help with the car.

The luggage problem, solved first

The usual mistake is checking out of the room, then trying to fit a suitcase into the evening. It does not work at the clubs:

  • Savaya: no luggage, bags searched, limited lockers, no outside food or drink.
  • All three partner clubs — Savaya, Zumana and Desa Kitsuné — expect you to arrive as a guest for the night, not as a traveller in transit.

Practical options:

  • Keep the room one more night, or ask your hotel to hold your bags.
  • Leave everything in the villa if your rental runs past the night out.
  • Keep the suitcase with the car plan: tell the concierge what you need and we check what can be arranged with a driver from our transport fleet.

More detail on what clubs let in: Bali club bags and lockers and Savaya: what to bring.

Your passport: needed, but protected

The three partner clubs are 21+ and ask for a valid photo ID: a passport or a driving licence. The night before a flight, your passport is the one document you cannot lose. If a driving licence with a photo is accepted for entry, it lets the passport stay locked away; if you have nothing else, keep the passport on you, in a pocket that closes, never in a bag left on a table. See Bali club ID and passport.

Pay without leaving loose ends

Savaya is cashless, so a card or phone does the job — and nothing is left to sort out in a hurry the next morning. If a table is part of the plan, its minimum spend is set by the venue for that night and the table map notes that it includes food and beverage credit; we pass the figure on with the venue's answer. Read cashless payment in Bali clubs.

Choose a night that fits a departure

Your flight is fixed, so start from the weekday and the area. Regular nights published by the three venues:

  • Monday: Last Light at Savaya, a sunset set from The Cube on the Uluwatu clifftop.
  • Tuesday and Friday: Desa Kitsuné's garden parties in Canggu, rain or shine.
  • Saturday: Ritual of the Sun at Zumana, Sunset Bay in Kuta; Sunday: Zumana Sunday and Savaya's People of the Sun.
  • Weekends: headliners at Savaya.

A sunset night lets you enjoy the evening and still go back to pack; a full headliner night is a different kind of evening the day before you fly. Each night's terms are on its page on /events.

Sunset rather than sunrise

If you want the last view of the trip without a long night, keep the evening around the sunset:

  • [Zumana](/venues/zumana): daybeds, poolside spaces and an open-air dance floor on the beach at Sunset Bay, with its restaurant, Manuza.
  • [Rock Bar](/venues/rock-bar): AYANA's bar on the rocks of Jimbaran, built for watching the sun set over the sea; payment is by card or QR only.
  • [Ina Ré](/venues/ina-re) at Desa Kitsuné: dinner in the Canggu village, with the garden party right there on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Zumana

Zumana

Beach clubs · Kuta

Zumana is a beach club at Sunset Bay in Kuta, a Savaya Group property designed by Rockwell Group around beachfront daybeds, poolside spaces, bars and an open-air dance floor. Its centrepiece is ZENÍA, "The Eternal Host", a 10-metre sculpture by Daniel Popper made with Balinese artisans from Ubud, and its restaurant is Manuza. Bars · Jimbaran

Rock Bar is AYANA Bali's cliffside bar in Jimbaran, stretching some 270 metres along the rocks above the ocean, with 880 seats spread over 22 areas. Guests reach it by inclinator, watch the sun set over the sea, then stay as the DJs play on. The bar pours cocktails inspired by the colours of the sea alongside Mediterranean tapas built on Jimbaran Bay seafood. Non-resident visitors can reserve; the Round Deck is kept for villa guests and the Top Bar for hotel guests. Payment by card or QR only.

Ina Ré

Ina Ré

Restaurants · Canggu

Ina Ré is the restaurant of Desa Kitsuné, the lifestyle village on Jalan Munduk Catu in Canggu. Chilean executive chef Cristian Encina brings together Mediterranean flavours and Latin American street food: paellas to share, ceviches, tacos, empanadas and wood-fired meats such as the Stockyard tomahawk. The space draws on Balinese arts and crafts, with handmade materials, weavings and traditional motifs, and includes private dining rooms for groups. Sunday brunch has its own menu, and so do Courtyard Saturdays.

A checklist for the night before

  1. Bags packed and left at the hotel or villa, or a plan agreed for them.
  2. Photo ID on you, passport secured.
  3. A card or phone to pay; Savaya is cashless.
  4. The ride home arranged before going out, with a driver who waits.
  5. The night's page read on /events: guestlist, ticket or table, and its terms.
  6. The airport transfer for the next day booked before the night, not after.

Booking it through FirstBali

Tell the concierge the date, the group and that you fly the next day. We request a table with the venue if you want one — it is yours once the venue confirms it, and any deposit follows the venue's terms without being a confirmation — and we check what can be arranged for the car. For a guestlist night you register yourself on the night's page and get a digital ticket by email; registration does not guarantee entry, and mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred. An assistant answers at any hour; the team works through the Bali day and evening.

Questions we get asked

+Can I bring my luggage to a Bali club before my flight?

Not to Savaya: it does not allow luggage, searches bags and has limited lockers. Leave your cases at your hotel or villa before going out.

+Do I need my passport to get into the club?

You need a valid photo ID: Savaya, Zumana and Desa Kitsuné accept a passport or a driving licence and are 21+. Keep the passport secured if you carry it.

+Is it a good idea to go out the night before flying?

It can be, if the bags are dealt with first and the ride home is arranged. A sunset night such as Savaya's Last Light or an evening at Zumana is easier to fit around a departure.

+Can I pay cash at Savaya?

No, Savaya is cashless. Bring a card or a phone that pays.

+Can FirstBali help with the car the night before my flight?

Yes. Tell the concierge your plan and we check what can be arranged, from a driver for the night to an airport transfer.
