Desa Kitsuné for couples: a date night in Canggu

Desa Kitsuné makes an easy date night: dinner at Ina Ré, then the garden party on Tuesdays and Fridays, all at one Canggu address. Couples are strongly preferred. How to plan it for two.

Updated October 21, 2026 · 4 min read

Desa Kitsuné is one of the simplest date nights in Canggu: dinner at Ina Ré, then the garden party on the same grounds every Tuesday and Friday, "rain or shine". The venue's terms say couples and mixed groups are strongly preferred. Book the dinner and the party as two things, since a dinner reservation does not put you on the list, and bring two photo IDs: the parties are 21+.

Each night above carries its own Guestlist or Table button; a night with only the Table button is ticketed only. Pick the night first.

Why it works for two

Desa means village in Indonesian, and the venue presents itself as a reflection of Bali's "relax, dine and celebrate" culture. Café Kitsuné, the Ina Ré restaurant, a Maison Kitsuné boutique and the Garden share one address, run by the Savaya Group with the French-Japanese brand Maison Kitsuné. For a couple that means one drop-off, one pick-up, and an evening that can move at your pace from table to garden.

It is also a garden rather than a club box. The venue lists what the Garden holds: a pool, bars, cabanas, bungalows, daybeds, terrace tables and sofas by the DJ. It is a setting where two people can talk before they dance.

Tuesday or Friday

The two weekly nights have different briefs: guest DJs on Tuesdays, Bali-based DJs on Fridays, with special monthly events and occasional one-off nights on top. Neither is "the couples' night"; choose by the music you both like and the day that fits your trip. The difference is set out in Desa Kitsuné on Tuesday or Friday.

Dinner first, at the same address

Ina Ré serves dinner every day, so a party night can start at a table for two a few steps from the garden. Book it as its own reservation: a dinner booking is not a guestlist registration and does not get you into the party. The whole sequence is in dinner and party at Desa Kitsuné.

For a daytime date instead, Café Kitsuné and the boutique are part of the same village, and the party nights are not the only reason to come.

Guestlist for two, or a table

  • Guestlist. Free to join, one registration per person and per event: each of you registers on the night's page and gets your own digital ticket by email. Entry is complimentary before the night's cutoff, which comes earlier for men than for women, and reduced after; the times are on the night's page. If one of you is a man, plan around his cutoff.
  • Table. The only reserved space in the garden: a daybed, a cabana or a sofa, with a minimum spend the venue sets for each night. FirstBali books it with Desa Kitsuné; it is yours once the venue confirms it, and any deposit follows the venue's terms rather than confirming anything. See Desa Kitsuné table booking.

A general admission ticket, in the venue's words, is "for standing room only".

The door, for both of you

  • ID each. A current, valid passport or driver's licence; the parties are 21+.
  • Dress both. Smart casual, "dress to impress". Beer-branded singlets, torn or cut-off clothing, chains, sportswear, baggy clothing, hard-sole shoes, flip-flops, boots and swimwear are refused. Check both outfits against the Desa Kitsuné dress code.
  • No guarantee. Management can refuse entry even after a guestlist registration has been approved. The couples preference helps; it is not a pass.

If it rains

The Tuesday and Friday parties go ahead "rain or shine". A covered table is worth asking about in the wet season, and Desa Kitsuné, rain or shine covers what to wear and bring.

An occasion

An anniversary dinner at Ina Ré or a birthday in the garden can be planned, but nothing is promised in advance: tell the concierge the idea and FirstBali checks with the venue what can be arranged. The ideas that are not specific to Desa Kitsuné are in Bali nightlife for couples and a romantic dinner in Bali.

Where FirstBali fits

Tell the concierge the night and where you are staying. FirstBali sends you the right guestlist link, tells you when a date is ticketed only, books dinner at Ina Ré and a garden table with the venue on your behalf, and can add a car with a driver for the way home. An assistant answers at any hour, and the team works through the Bali day and evening.

Questions we get asked

+Is Desa Kitsuné good for a date night?

Yes. Dinner at Ina Ré and the garden party share one address, and the venue's terms say couples and mixed groups are strongly preferred. Entry stays at management's discretion.

+Does a dinner booking at Ina Ré get us into the party?

No. Book the party separately: each of you registers on the night's guestlist, or you book a garden table.

+Is the cutoff the same for both of us?

Not always: at Desa Kitsuné the cutoff comes earlier for men. The times are on each night's page.

+Which night is better for couples, Tuesday or Friday?

Neither is a couples' night. Tuesdays bring guest DJs and Fridays Bali-based DJs; choose by the music and the day that suits you.

+Can we book a daybed for two?

Ask the concierge which garden tables are offered that night. The venue sets the minimum spend, and the table is yours once Desa Kitsuné confirms it.
