Zumana for couples: a sunset and a night for two
Zumana suits a couple: a beachfront at Sunset Bay in Kuta, the sun going down over the sea, then a dance floor. Couples are strongly preferred at the door. How to plan the day for two.

Zumana is an easy place to take someone you love. It is a beach club on the beachfront at Sunset Bay in Kuta, the sun goes down over the sea in front of you, and the night carries on on an open-air dance floor. The venue's terms say couples and mixed groups are strongly preferred, but the door still applies to everyone: 21+ with photo ID, smart casual, card or QRIS only inside.

The calendar above shows Zumana's coming days and nights, each with its Guestlist or Table button. Choose the date first; the rest follows from it.
A venue built around one moment
Zumana describes itself in three movements, and the middle one is the reason a couple comes: "This is the moment ZUMANA was built for. The horizon catches fire, the tribe gathers by the shore, and something shifts in the air." Before it, the day: "Come early. Settle in. Let the day unfold at its own pace." After it, the night: "The music rises, the energy deepens."
For two people, that shape is the plan. Arrive in the afternoon if you want the slow part, settle in for the sunset, and decide on the spot whether you stay for the dance floor.
Which day to choose
- Ritual of the Sun, Saturdays. The weekly sunset night, the most obvious choice for a couple: Zumana Ritual of the Sun.
- Zumana Sunday. A regular day that starts in the afternoon and ends the week well: Zumana on Sunday.
- Monday and Tuesday. The quieter regular days, for a couple who would rather talk than shout over a headliner.
- Wednesdays and Fridays. Built around a headline artist. Choose them if you both came for the music: Zumana headliner nights.
Daybed, sofa or the sand
Guestlist and ticket entry are essentially standing: general admission seating is limited and first come, first served. That is fine for a couple who will spend the night dancing.
For a place of your own at sunset, the beachfront daybeds, poolside spaces and sofas are table bookings. Zumana sets the minimum spend for each night, and its table maps say it includes food and beverage credit. FirstBali books the table with the venue on your behalf; it is yours once Zumana confirms it, and any deposit follows the venue's terms rather than confirming anything. How it works is in Zumana table booking.
A table also lets you step out and come back: re-entry is not permitted without one, and with one you see a guest experience officer before you leave.
Dinner at the same address
Zumana's restaurant is Manuza, so dinner and the sunset can share an address. Ask the concierge whether a dinner booking can be arranged for your date before or after the table. Other ideas for a meal for two are in a romantic dinner in Bali.
ZENÍA, and a photograph
The centrepiece of the venue is ZENÍA, "The Eternal Host", a sculpture by Daniel Popper made with Balinese artisans in Ubud. She greets you as you arrive, and further in her mask opens onto a view framed by the ocean. It is where many couples take their picture. Phones are fine; professional cameras, tripods and drones stay outside. Her story is in Zumana and ZENÍA.
The practical part, for two
- Dress both of you. Smart casual, "upscale beach chic" on the event pages; no denim, beer-branded singlets, cut-off clothing, sportswear or flip-flops, and swimwear in the pools only. See the Zumana dress code.
- Bring both IDs. The original of a passport or driver's licence each.
- Register separately. On a guestlist night, each person registers on the night's page and gets their own digital ticket by email.
- One card is enough. No cash inside.
- Plan the way home. Getting to Zumana covers the drop-off and the return.
Marking an occasion
A birthday, an anniversary or a honeymoon evening can be planned around Zumana, but nothing is promised in advance. Tell the concierge the date and the idea, and FirstBali checks with the venue what can be arranged. For the broader evening, see Bali nightlife for couples and a Bali honeymoon.

Where FirstBali fits
Tell the concierge the date and where you are staying. FirstBali sends the guestlist link for that night, or asks Zumana for a daybed or a sofa and comes back with what the venue confirms, and can add a car with a driver. An assistant answers at any hour, and the team works through the Bali day and evening.
