Ina Ré, the restaurant of Desa Kitsuné in Canggu, serves a dedicated Sunday brunch menu, separate from its everyday card. The idea, in the menu's own words, is to "create the perfect Sunday feast": you pick one dish per course — starters, small plates, eggs, mains, sweets — and add a sharing paella or a tomahawk if the table wants one. FirstBali asks Ina Ré for a table through the concierge.
How the brunch works
The menu is laid out in courses, and each course offers a short choice: "choose 1". You decide how many courses you want, so a light Sunday can be eggs and a coffee, and a long one can run from starters to sweets. A Premium Sharing section sits apart for the whole table. The menu marks dishes for dairy, gluten, nuts, molluscs and crustaceans, and flags vegetarian and vegan ones; the restaurant asks guests to tell the team about allergies, noting that cross-contact may occur. Tell the concierge when you book and it goes with the request.
Starters and small plates
Starters set the tone between sweet and savoury:
- Ricotta protein "hotcakes": ricotta madeleines with a coconut, chia and basil seed pudding and a honey kombucha syrup.
- Prawn lollipop: barbecued prawn, sesame, anchovy, lemon and a parmesan emulsion.
- Mezze platter: with the bread basket, and a choice of beetroot, hummus or smoked mackerel.
Small plates lean towards Ina Ré's Latin and Mediterranean side: a classic ceviche with guacamole and jalapeño lime, a tacos platter (red snapper, beef birria, or mushroom and cheddar), chicken karaage with sambal matah, an orzo pasta salad with grilled zucchini and basil pesto, and a Mediterranean salad with Kalamata olives and baby mozzarella.
Eggs
The brunch course proper:
- Eggs Benedict on an English muffin, with spinach and bacon, smoked salmon, or spinach and asparagus.
- Eggs your way on sourdough: poached, fried or scrambled.
- Avocado toast: a duck egg fried in brioche, smashed avocado, and a choice of 'nduja or nori butter.
- Chilli crab omelette: hand-picked crab, bok choy, roasted peppers and a crispy crab chilli oil — a supplement applies, which the concierge confirms with the rest.
Mains and the sharing plates
For a Sunday that turns into lunch, the main courses include a roasted half chicken "Peruvian style", fire-grilled tiger prawns with a moqueca glaze, a seafood linguine with a tomato or "vongole" sauce, a breakfast beef burger, steak and egg frites, the catch of the day braised in banana leaf, and the crispy eggplant "Milanese style" for vegetarians.
The Premium Sharing section is the reason groups come: the Ina Ré seafood paella, with octopus, clams, prawns and red snapper, made for two or for six, with Papua bamboo lobster as an add-on; and the Stockyard Gold tomahawk, with a herb salad and smoked cherry tomatoes. For a birthday brunch or a family table, ask for the paella when you book.
Sweets
Crème brûlée with passion fruit and ginger, a floating meringue island with pandan crème anglaise, French toast with banana ice cream and cashew praline, waffles with chocolate, salted caramel or berry sauce, and house-made ice creams and sorbets.
Brunch, then the village
Brunch at Ina Ré is a daylight visit to Desa Kitsuné: coffee at Café Kitsuné and a look around the Maison Kitsuné shop are on the same grounds (the village guide). The garden parties are on other days of the week, and if one is on your calendar, the coming nights are here:

How FirstBali books it
Tell the concierge the Sunday, how many you are, and whether you want the sharing paella or the tomahawk set aside for the table. FirstBali asks Ina Ré and passes on its answer, including any menu or deposit terms for a large group. The table is yours once the restaurant confirms it. Our assistant replies at any hour; the team picks up through the Bali day and evening. A driver there and back can go in the same conversation.
