Made in Kuta is a Thursday night at Zumana, the Savaya Group beach club on Sunset Bay in Kuta. In the venue's own words, it is "Zumana's signature monthly Thursday celebration, inspired by the spirit of Kuta. Bringing together local talent, music, food, and culture." It comes round once a month, so the only reliable way to find it is the calendar: open the Thursday billed Made in Kuta and read that night's terms.

What Made in Kuta is

Zumana's Thursday is the day of the week that changes most. It rotates between four nights: ZENÍA, SENJA, Zumana Thursday and Made in Kuta. Made in Kuta is the monthly one, and the only one of the four whose brief is about the neighbourhood itself. Where the Wednesday and Friday headliner nights are built around a visiting artist, this one is built around the place, its talent, its food and its culture.

Which Thursday it falls on is only certain once Zumana publishes the date, so look at the calendar rather than counting weeks. The full rotation is in Zumana's weekly nights.

Why Kuta

Kuta was one of the first towns on Bali to see substantial tourism, and the Savaya Group presents Zumana as a way of "honoring the spirit and energy that made Kuta iconic". Made in Kuta is that idea given its own night. Zumana itself sits on the beachfront at Sunset Bay, was designed by Rockwell Group around beachfront daybeds, poolside spaces, bars and an open-air dance floor, and opened in 2026. Its centrepiece is ZENÍA, "The Eternal Host", a 10-metre sculpture by Daniel Popper made with Balinese artisans from Ubud, and its restaurant is Manuza.

How to go

A Made in Kuta Thursday works like any other Zumana night:

  • The guestlist, when the night has one. Open the date and press its Guestlist button. You register yourself, individually, and a digital ticket arrives by email. Joining is free; entry is complimentary before the cutoff shown on the night's page, reduced after it. Registration does not guarantee complimentary entry, and mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred. The form is explained in the Zumana guestlist guide.
  • A ticket, when it is ticketed only. Terms change from night to night, and a night can open a list later. Official tickets come only through Zumana's own channel.
  • A table or a daybed. The only reserved space. Its minimum spend is set by Zumana for the night and, on Zumana's map, "Includes Food & Beverage Credit". Re-entry is only possible with a table.

The door

Zumana is 21+ with a valid photo ID, a passport or driving licence, and smart casual. Swimwear belongs in the pools, not on the dance floor; the details are in the Zumana dress code.

Building a Thursday around it

  • Come early. A night about local food and culture is not one to arrive at for the last hour, and the guestlist's complimentary entry ends at the cutoff on the night's page.
  • Stay for dinner. Manuza is Zumana's restaurant; ask the concierge to check what can be arranged on the night.
  • Plan the way home. FirstBali arranges cars with a driver through transport.
  • Make a week of it. Savaya runs Last Light every Monday on its Uluwatu clifftop, and Desa Kitsuné hosts garden parties in Canggu every Tuesday and Friday. Savaya, Zumana and Desa Kitsuné compared sets them side by side.

Is Made in Kuta for you?

Choose it if you would rather hear the island's own talent than a touring name, if you are staying in or near Kuta, or if your first Zumana visit should feel rooted in the place. If a specific artist is the reason you are going, watch the Wednesday and Friday headliner pages instead, and for the weekend there is Ritual of the Sun.
