Birthday weekend in Bali: Friday to Sunday, planned

A birthday weekend in Bali works best built on the clubs' weekly nights: a Friday garden party or headliner, a Saturday on the clifftop or the beach, a slow Sunday. How to plan the three days.

Updated November 8, 2026 · 4 min read

For a birthday weekend in Bali, build the three days on the clubs' weekly programmes: on Friday, a garden party at Desa Kitsuné or a headliner night at Zumana; on Saturday, the weekend headliners at Savaya or Ritual of the Sun at Zumana; on Sunday, a brunch and a slower day by the sea. Then decide which of the three nights is the birthday, and book the table for that one first.

Decide which night is the birthday

A weekend has three nights, and the group will not have the same energy on all of them. Pick one night for the big table — usually the night of the birthday itself, or Saturday if it falls midweek — and keep the others lighter: a dinner, a beach club, a boat. If the birthday is the trip's whole purpose, the birthday party guide explains how each piece is booked.

Friday: the garden or the beach

Two of the Savaya Group's addresses have a regular Friday:

  • Desa Kitsuné, Canggu: the lifestyle village made with the French-Japanese brand Maison Kitsuné, where the Garden becomes the party every Tuesday and Friday, rain or shine — Bali-based DJs on Fridays.
  • Zumana, Sunset Bay in Kuta: a beach club designed by Rockwell Group, with headliners on Wednesdays and Fridays.

For dinner first, Akar near Ubud turns festive on Friday and Saturday nights with live DJs, dancers and a laser show, and Giselle in Canggu hands over to Club 55 after dinner on Fridays and Saturdays. More pairings are in the birthday dinner guide.

Saturday: the big night

On Saturday, two of the group's venues have a regular night:

  • Savaya, on the Pecatu clifftop in Uluwatu, 100 metres above the Indian Ocean, with pools and The Cube. It hosts international headliners at weekends, and DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs named it the number-one club in Asia from 2024 to 2026 and fifth in the world in 2026.
  • Zumana, with Ritual of the Sun every Saturday, around ZENÍA, the 10-metre sculpture by Daniel Popper.

Before either, Riviera Berawa turns into PRÏVE on Saturdays, with cocktails and DJs, for a group staying around Canggu. For the venue-specific details, read Savaya birthday and Zumana birthday.

Sunday: brunch, the sea, a boat

The day after should ask nothing of anyone. Ina Ré at Desa Kitsuné has its own Sunday brunch menu. Zumana Sunday runs every week, and Savaya's Sundays are "People of the Sun", if the group still wants music. Finns Beach Club in Berawa, adults-only, keeps an all-day party going every day and hosts birthdays.

Or take the birthday out to sea: Birthday at golden hour is one of the trips on FirstBali's boat list — see the boat birthday guide. Keep a spare day in mind in case the sea does not cooperate.

The table, the list, the door

  1. A table is the only reserved space at Savaya, Zumana and Desa Kitsuné. Its minimum spend is set by the venue per night, and at Savaya and Zumana the table map notes that it includes food and beverage credit. At Savaya and Zumana, re-entry is only with a table.
  2. A guestlist, when the venue opens one for that night, is free to join: each guest registers individually on the night's page and gets a digital ticket by email. Entry is complimentary before the cutoff shown on the night's page, reduced after — and registration does not guarantee entry.
  3. The door: all three are 21+ with a valid photo ID (passport or driver's licence), smart casual, and say mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred.

Every night's terms are on its own page on /events: some nights are ticketed only.

Getting around

Friday in Canggu or Kuta, Saturday in Uluwatu, Sunday on the coast: three nights, three areas. A van or an Alphard with driver for the weekend keeps the group together — see our transport page.

How FirstBali arranges it

Tell the concierge the dates, the number of guests, the birthday night and the mix of the group. We check which nights are on, ask the venues for the tables, and add dinners, the boat or the car. Nothing is booked until each venue confirms, and a deposit follows the venue's own terms; it is not a confirmation. An assistant answers at any hour; the team works through the Bali day and evening.

Questions we get asked

+Which night is best for a birthday in Bali?

It depends on the venue's weekly programme: Desa Kitsuné parties on Tuesdays and Fridays, Zumana has headliners on Wednesdays and Fridays and Ritual of the Sun on Saturdays, and Savaya hosts headliners at weekends.

+Should we book a table every night?

Not necessarily. Book the table for the birthday night first; the other nights can be a dinner, a beach club or a boat.

+Does a guestlist guarantee entry for the group?

No. Each guest registers individually, registration does not guarantee entry, and the venues say mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred.

+Can we celebrate on a boat?

Yes: Birthday at golden hour is one of the trips on FirstBali's boat list, subject to the sea and to confirmation.

+Is the deposit a confirmation?

No. A deposit follows the venue's own terms; the table is yours once the venue confirms it.

+What ID do we need?

Savaya, Zumana and Desa Kitsuné are 21+ and ask for a valid photo ID: a passport or a driver's licence.
