Birthday at Savaya: how to celebrate on the cliff
For a birthday at Savaya, book a table: the only reserved space, with re-entry. Pick the night and the area, leave props and cake behind, check every guest is 21+, and book the driver.

The way to celebrate a birthday at Savaya is a table: it is the only reserved space in the club, the only option that lets anyone step out and come back, and it gives the group one place to gather. Choose the night first, then the area on that night's table map, and make sure every guest is 21 or over with a photo ID. FirstBali books the table with Savaya on your behalf; it is yours once the venue has confirmed it.

Why a table for a birthday
A birthday needs a place to come back to. On the guestlist or a ticket, you stand: Savaya's FAQ says general admission seating is limited and first come, first served. With a table, the group has its own area for the night, the minimum spend set by the venue includes food and beverage credit, and re-entry is permitted, which matters if you want dinner first or someone arrives late. How tables work in detail is in Savaya table booking.
Choosing the night
- A sunset birthday. Last Light, every Monday, is built around The Cube and the moment the sun drops into the Indian Ocean. On Sundays, People of the Sun runs, in the venue's words, "from golden hour into the night". See Savaya Last Light.
- A weekday birthday. Savaya Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are the venue's own nights.
- A weekend birthday. Saturdays and Sundays mostly bring international headliners. Some of those nights are ticketed only, with no guestlist for friends who are not at your table; check the night's page before you send the invitation.
If the birthday itself falls on a night that does not suit, the celebration does not have to: Savaya is open daily.
Choosing where you sit
The venue's table maps name the areas, and each has its own minimum party size:
- The Cube Sofas, around the landmark that frames the horizon, if the sunset is the point.
- Dance Floor Sofas and DJ Sofas, if the birthday is about the music.
- Daybeds and the Lounge, among the smaller party sizes.
- Cabanas, Bungalows and Ocean Edge View, for the biggest groups.
What is on offer changes from night to night, and some areas sell out. Open the Table button on the night in the calendar to see that night's map.
What Savaya says about celebrations
Savaya's website publishes no birthday package, and its private events page gave no details when we read it, so we will not describe one. What the venue does publish are its rules, and several touch a birthday directly:
- No outside food or drink. A cake bought elsewhere counts, and so does candy.
- No toys, props or inflatables. Leave the balloons and inflatable numbers at the villa.
- No professional cameras, tripods or drones. A photographer with professional gear will not get it through the door.
- Bags are searched at the entrance.
If you would like something for the birthday at the table, tell the concierge when you book. The team asks the venue what can be arranged; nothing is promised until Savaya has answered.
Everyone 21 or over
Savaya strictly enforces a 21+ policy, and every guest needs a current, valid photo ID: a passport or a driver's licence. A birthday guest who is 20 stays outside, however close the date. If the birthday is a 21st, the ID matters even more: see a 21st birthday in Bali. The dress code is smart casual, without denim, beer-branded singlets, cut-off clothing or sportswear: the Savaya dress code.
Dinner before, or a drink on the way
Because Savaya opens in the afternoon, a birthday there can start with the sunset and run on. If you would rather start with dinner or a sunset drink, the Bukit has options on the way: El Kabron, on the cliffs of Pecatu, has a Sunset Theater at the cliff edge set up for sunset dinners and a Mediterranean restaurant; Rock Bar, at AYANA in Jimbaran, is a cliffside bar where guests watch the sun set over the sea. With a table at Savaya, re-entry is permitted, so the group can also step out for dinner and come back; speak to a Guest Relation Officer before you leave. More addresses in Uluwatu restaurants.
El Kabron
Beach clubs · Uluwatu
El Kabron stands on the limestone cliffs of Pecatu in Uluwatu, above the Indian Ocean, and has been open since 2011. It has three parts: the Hedonism Lounge, an adults-only infinity-pool area with daybeds and sofas; the Sunset Theater at the cliff edge, set up for sunset dinners; and a Mediterranean restaurant serving seafood, oysters, paella and steak. Its sunset parties bring DJs with live saxophone, violin and trumpet, with the White Sunset Party, the Afro House Sunset Party and pool parties among the weekly regulars.
Rock Bar
Bars · Jimbaran
Rock Bar is AYANA Bali's cliffside bar in Jimbaran, stretching some 270 metres along the rocks above the ocean, with 880 seats spread over 22 areas. Guests reach it by inclinator, watch the sun set over the sea, then stay as the DJs play on. The bar pours cocktails inspired by the colours of the sea alongside Mediterranean tapas built on Jimbaran Bay seafood. Non-resident visitors can reserve; the Round Deck is kept for villa guests and the Top Bar for hotel guests. Payment by card or QR only.
The driver
Book the way home before the birthday starts. The Bukit is at the southern tip of the island, and a car with a driver who waits or comes back for you is the simplest plan: nobody drives after a celebration, and nobody negotiates a ride at the door. For a group, a minibus keeps everyone together. FirstBali arranges cars with a driver; the route is in getting to Savaya.
How FirstBali arranges it
Send the concierge the date, the number of guests, the area you like the look of and where you are staying. FirstBali asks Savaya for the table and comes back with the venue's answer and minimum spend for that night; the table is yours once the venue confirms it. Dinner and the driver can go in the same conversation. The assistant replies at any hour; anything that needs the team overnight is picked up in the morning.
