Ocean view club in Bali: from the cliff or the sand
Two kinds of ocean view for a party in Bali: from high on the cliff, at Savaya in Uluwatu, or at sea level on the sand, at Zumana in Kuta. Which to choose, the alternatives, and how to keep the view.

If you want a club with an ocean view in Bali, you have two choices of view. From high above, Savaya sits 100 metres over the Indian Ocean on the Uluwatu cliffs, the island's clifftop club. At sea level, Zumana's open-air dance floor sits on the beach at Sunset Bay in Kuta, beside beachfront daybeds and pools. Both belong to Savaya Group; around them, cliff bars and beach clubs offer the view with a gentler party.

Two ways to face the ocean
A view from the cliff and a view from the sand are not the same evening. On the cliff, the ocean is a vast horizon below you, and the light at sunset fills the whole sky. On the beach, the water is right there, the sound of the waves under the music, and the sunset sits low in front of you. Before choosing a venue, choose which of the two you want.
One more thing to keep in mind: the ocean is a daylight and sunset view. Once it is dark, it fades into the night, and the dance floor takes over. If the view matters, aim for a sunset format or arrive while it is still light.
From the cliff: Savaya
Savaya is set between jungle and limestone cliffs in Pecatu, with pools and The Cube, the landmark that frames its horizon. DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs named it the number-one club in Asia three years running (2024–2026) and fifth in the world in 2026. It is a full club, not a bar with a view: weekends mostly bring international headliners, often on ticketed-only nights.
For the view, the formats to know are Last Light every Monday, a sunset set from The Cube, and Sundays, People of the Sun. Savaya at sunset or at night helps you choose the hour, and the clifftop club guide covers the cliff in depth.
From the sand: Zumana
Zumana, designed by Rockwell Group, puts its open-air dance floor beside beachfront daybeds, poolside spaces and bars, with ZENÍA, Daniel Popper's 10-metre sculpture, at the centre. Saturday is Ritual of the Sun, the night built around the sky; Wednesdays and Fridays bring headliners; Sunday, Monday and Tuesday are Zumana's regular days. Dinner can come first at Manuza, the club's restaurant.
Savaya Bali
Clubs · Uluwatu
Savaya is a clifftop club in Pecatu, Uluwatu, set 100 metres above the Indian Ocean between jungle and limestone cliffs, with pools and The Cube, the landmark that frames its horizon. Named the number-one club in Asia three years running (2024–2026) and fifth in the world in 2026 in DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs, it is open daily: Last Light every Monday, weekday nights, and international headliners at weekends. Strictly 21+, smart casual.
Zumana
Beach clubs · Kuta
Zumana is a beach club at Sunset Bay in Kuta, a Savaya Group property designed by Rockwell Group around beachfront daybeds, poolside spaces, bars and an open-air dance floor. Its centrepiece is ZENÍA, "The Eternal Host", a 10-metre sculpture by Daniel Popper made with Balinese artisans from Ubud, and its restaurant is Manuza. Open daily: Zumana Sunday, Monday and Tuesday every week, headliners on Wednesdays and Fridays, Ritual of the Sun on Saturdays. 21+, smart casual.
Other venues with the ocean in front
These offer the view with a different kind of night:
- El Kabron, Uluwatu: on the Pecatu cliffs above the Indian Ocean, with the Sunset Theater at the cliff edge and sunset parties where DJs play with live musicians.
- Rock Bar, Jimbaran: AYANA's cliffside bar along the rocks above the ocean, reached by inclinator; DJs play on after sunset. Payment by card or QR only.
- Luna Beach Club, Tabanan: perched on the cliffs by Nyanyi Beach, with DJs through sunset and fire and light shows in the evening.
- White Rock Beach Club, Uluwatu: on Melasti Beach at the end of the cliff, with party suites overlooking the pool and the ocean.
- Atlas and Finns, Berawa: big beach clubs on the sand; Atlas puts its beanbags right on the sand facing the sea.
El Kabron
Beach clubs · Uluwatu
El Kabron stands on the limestone cliffs of Pecatu in Uluwatu, above the Indian Ocean, and has been open since 2011. It has three parts: the Hedonism Lounge, an adults-only infinity-pool area with daybeds and sofas; the Sunset Theater at the cliff edge, set up for sunset dinners; and a Mediterranean restaurant serving seafood, oysters, paella and steak. Its sunset parties bring DJs with live saxophone, violin and trumpet, with the White Sunset Party, the Afro House Sunset Party and pool parties among the weekly regulars.
Rock Bar
Bars · Jimbaran
Rock Bar is AYANA Bali's cliffside bar in Jimbaran, stretching some 270 metres along the rocks above the ocean, with 880 seats spread over 22 areas. Guests reach it by inclinator, watch the sun set over the sea, then stay as the DJs play on. The bar pours cocktails inspired by the colours of the sea alongside Mediterranean tapas built on Jimbaran Bay seafood. Non-resident visitors can reserve; the Round Deck is kept for villa guests and the Top Bar for hotel guests. Payment by card or QR only.
Luna Beach Club
Beach clubs · Tabanan
Luna Beach Club is perched on the cliffs of the Tabanan coast, inside Nuanu Creative City by Nyanyi Beach, west of Canggu. Its bamboo architecture by Inspiral Architects won a Silver award for sustainable and green architecture at the 2024 International Architecture & Design Awards. The complex brings together two pools, jumping platforms and a water slide, Restaurant 369, the Utopia Cave Club and the Gardenia bamboo tree pods. DJs play through sunset, and evenings bring fire and light shows.
White Rock Beach Club
Beach clubs · Uluwatu
White Rock Beach Club sits on Melasti Beach in Ungasan, near Uluwatu, at the end of the cliff. Guests settle on daybeds, sofas or cabanas around a lagoon pool and a rock pool; families have a kids' pool and a kids' menu. There is a spa, a large covered restaurant serving local and international dishes, and enclosed, air-conditioned party suites overlooking the pool and the ocean. Resident DJs play every day, and foam parties run at weekends. The club also hosts weddings and events.
Desa Kitsuné, the group's garden village in Canggu, is the counterpoint: no sea view, but a garden party every Tuesday and Friday, rain or shine. It is a good choice for a night when the view no longer matters.
How to keep the view
- Pick a sunset format. Last Light at Savaya on Mondays, Ritual of the Sun at Zumana on Saturdays, or the cliff venues' sunset sessions.
- Reserve the front row if it matters. A table or a daybed is the only reserved place; the venue sets its minimum spend for each night, and the place is yours once the venue confirms it.
- Otherwise, arrive early. Without a reservation, the view is shared, and the best spots go first.
- Check the night's page. Guestlist, tickets only, or both, and terms that change night by night; a list never guarantees entry.
Before you go
- Age: Savaya and Zumana are 21+ with a valid photo ID (passport or driver's licence).
- At Savaya: cashless, bags searched, limited lockers, no luggage, no outside food or drink. Re-entry at Savaya and Zumana is only with a table.
- Dress: smart casual; see the beach club dress code.
- Getting there: the cliffs and the coast are spread out; a car with driver keeps it simple.
Tell the concierge which view you want: FirstBali sends the night's guestlist link, or books a table or daybed with the venue, which confirms it. An assistant answers at any hour, and the team through the Bali day and evening.
