Savaya sunset or night: Last Light or a headliner?

Savaya at sunset or at night? Last Light, every Monday from The Cube, is built around the magic hour; weekend nights bring international headliners. How to choose between them.

Updated October 21, 2026 · 4 min read

Choose a Savaya sunset if the view is what you came for, and a Savaya night if the artist is. Last Light, every Monday, is the club's sunset event, built around The Cube and, in the venue's words, "the only place on the Bukit Peninsula where the magic hour isn't a backdrop". Weekend nights mostly bring international headliners, and some of them are ticketed only. Sundays sit in between, with DJs through the day building to a main act.

Two ways to see the same cliff

Savaya is a clifftop club in Pecatu, Uluwatu, "100 metres above the Indian Ocean", with pools and The Cube, the landmark that frames its horizon. DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs has named it the number-one club in Asia three years running (2024–2026) and fifth in the world in 2026. The venue is open daily, so the question is not whether to go but which version of it you want: the light over the ocean, or the headliner after dark.

Last Light: the sunset

Last Light is Savaya's weekly Monday event. Its page sums it up:

"The only place on the Bukit Peninsula where the magic hour isn't a backdrop."

The Cube frames the horizon, and on a Monday that horizon is the point of the evening. The page advises arriving early, before sunset, which is the whole idea: you come for the light, not for the late hours.

Last Light suits you if:

  • the view matters more than the line-up;
  • you want a fixed date you can plan before you land: the same name and idea every Monday;
  • you are new to Savaya and want to see it at its most photographed moment;
  • you want an evening that leaves room for dinner afterwards, or an early start the next day.

Everything about the night is in the Last Light guide.

Headliner nights: the night

Weekends at Savaya mostly bring international headliners. These are the nights people plan trips around, and they work differently:

  • The artist sets the night. Savaya describes itself as one of the world's leading destinations for electronic music; the sound follows whoever is playing. See what music Bali clubs play.
  • Some are ticketed only. Terms change from night to night, a night can open a guestlist later, and Savaya says its tickets are "primarily for standing room only". Official tickets come only through the venue's own channel.
  • They are later and fuller. That is the appeal, and the reason a table matters more.

The weekend is covered in detail in a weekend at Savaya.

Sunday: both in one day

Some Sundays are billed "People of the Sun (Sunset Set)": as the sun goes down, the guest artist takes over for the sunset set. The venue's Sunday pages describe DJs playing through the day, leading up to the main act. If you cannot choose, a Sunday lets you arrive for the light and stay for the build. See Sunday at Savaya.

How to choose

  1. Start with the calendar. Open the events page and read the night's page: it says whether there is a guestlist, tickets only, or both.
  2. Ask what you want to remember. The horizon from The Cube: Monday. A particular artist: the weekend night they play. Both: a Sunday sunset set.
  3. Think about your group. A first visit, a couple or a dinner plan fits a sunset well; a birthday or a group of friends set on dancing fits a headliner night with a table.
  4. Check the rest of your week. Zumana, Savaya Group's beach club at Sunset Bay in Kuta, has its own sunset ritual on Saturdays; see Ritual of the Sun and Savaya or Zumana.

Guestlist, ticket or table

The rules are Savaya's own on every night. When a night has a guestlist, joining is free, each guest registers individually on the night's page and receives a digital ticket by email, and entry is complimentary before the cutoff shown there, reduced after it. Registration does not guarantee complimentary entry, and mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred. Everyone must be 21+ with a passport or driver's licence; the club is cashless, bags are searched, lockers are limited and no outside food or drink is allowed.

A table is the only reserved space. Its minimum spend is set by the venue per night, and the venue's table maps say it "Includes Food & Beverage Credit". Re-entry is only possible with a table, which matters if you want to step out between sunset and night. FirstBali books the table with the venue; it is yours once the venue confirms it, and any deposit follows the venue's terms and is not a confirmation. See booking a table at Savaya.

Getting there

Savaya is on the Bukit peninsula, and a private driver who waits or returns for you is the simplest way to and from the cliff, whichever version you choose. FirstBali arranges private drivers; the route is in getting to Savaya.
