Private event venue in Bali: what each place offers

Looking for a private event venue in Bali? Which places publish a private hire, which host events in suites or private rooms, and where a block of tables is the honest answer.

Updated November 8, 2026 · 4 min read

For a private event in Bali, start with what each venue actually publishes. Desa Kitsuné in Canggu offers private events in two settings, the whole village or The Garden alone; White Rock Beach Club near Uluwatu hosts weddings and events and has enclosed party suites; Ina Ré has private dining rooms for groups. Savaya and Zumana publish no private-hire offer, so there a group relies on tables. FirstBali makes the enquiry with the venue; nothing is confirmed until the venue confirms it.

Four kinds of "private"

"Private event" covers very different requests, and the right venue depends on which one you mean.

  1. The whole place to yourselves. A full hire, with your own music and timing.
  2. A private space inside a working venue. A suite or a room, while the rest of the venue carries on.
  3. A private dinner. A room or a long table for the meal, nothing more.
  4. Your group at a public night. Several tables reserved together at a club or beach club, the party as it is.

Decide this first; it removes half the options at once.

Venues that publish a private hire

Desa Kitsuné, Canggu

Desa Kitsuné is a lifestyle village by the Savaya Group with the French-Japanese brand Maison Kitsuné, set in a 5,000 m² garden. Its own private-events page offers two settings: the whole village, bringing together Café Kitsuné, the Ina Ré restaurant, The Garden and the Maison Kitsuné boutique, or The Garden alone, with its bars, cabanas, bungalows, daybeds, terrace tables and DJ sofas. The garden's pool is decorative only. The venue promises "world class food" for private events. Our Desa Kitsuné private events guide covers both spaces in detail.

On a Tuesday or Friday, the garden hosts its own party, rain or shine. If the group wants that party rather than the place to itself, a table is the simpler answer: see Desa Kitsuné table booking.

Venues that host events in a private space

White Rock Beach Club, Uluwatu

White Rock Beach Club sits on Melasti Beach in Ungasan, at the end of the cliff. Its enclosed, air-conditioned party suites overlook the pool and the ocean, there is a large covered restaurant, and the club also hosts weddings and events. Families have a kids' pool and menu, which matters when the guest list includes children.

Ina Ré, Canggu

Ina Ré, the restaurant of Desa Kitsuné, has private dining rooms for groups. Chilean executive chef Cristian Encina brings together Mediterranean flavours and Latin American street food: paellas to share, ceviches, tacos and wood-fired meats. See private dining at Ina Ré.

Venues where tables are the answer

Savaya and Zumana

When we read Savaya's and Zumana's own pages, they offered tickets and table reservations, and no corporate, private-hire or buyout offer. So we do not describe one. What a group can rely on is the table system:

  • A table is the only reserved space. Its minimum spend is set by the venue per night, and the Savaya and Zumana maps state that it includes food and beverage credit.
  • Several tables, one group. A larger group usually needs neighbouring tables or a bigger area on the night's map.
  • Re-entry only with a table. Without one, a guest who steps out cannot return.

Savaya, on the Pecatu clifftop, was named number one in Asia from 2024 to 2026 and fifth in the world in 2026 in DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs, as Savaya reports; Zumana is the Savaya Group's beach club at Sunset Bay, Kuta. Whether anything beyond tables can be arranged for a date, only the venue can say, and the concierge asks.

Private at sea or at home

Two more settings avoid a venue altogether. A boat chartered for the group is private by definition: see a yacht charter in Bali. A villa with a private chef keeps the event at home. Both are arranged on request; FirstBali checks what can be organised for the date.

What to put in the enquiry

A venue answers faster when the first message holds everything:

  • The date, and a second choice.
  • The kind of private you mean, from the four above.
  • How many guests, and whether any are under 21: Savaya, Zumana and Desa Kitsuné's parties are strictly 21+ with a valid passport or driver's licence.
  • Food: a seated dinner, a standing format, dietary needs.
  • Music: the venue's DJ, your own, or something quieter.
  • Transport: whether guests need cars and vans with drivers.

How FirstBali makes the enquiry

FirstBali books on your behalf: tell the concierge what you have in mind, and FirstBali puts the request to the venue and comes back with its answer. Anything a venue offers is confirmed only when the venue confirms it, and any deposit follows the venue's terms without being a confirmation. An assistant answers at any hour, the team through the Bali day and evening.
