Desa Kitsuné private events: hiring the Canggu village

Desa Kitsuné hosts private events in two settings: the whole Canggu village, or The Garden alone. What each space holds, which events suit it, and how FirstBali makes the enquiry.

Yes, Desa Kitsuné can be hired for a private event. The venue's own page, headed "Private events, for you and your closest one", offers two settings: the whole Desa Kitsuné village in Canggu, or The Garden on its own, the space that becomes the party on Tuesday and Friday nights. FirstBali sends the enquiry through the concierge; the venue sets the terms and confirms the date.

The two spaces on offer

The whole village. Desa Kitsuné is a lifestyle village by the Savaya Group with the French-Japanese brand Maison Kitsuné. Its private-events page lists what the full site brings together: Café Kitsuné, the Ina Ré restaurant, The Garden and the Maison Kitsuné boutique. Hiring the village means the event can move from one to the other, a coffee or an aperitif at the café, dinner at Ina Ré, then the garden for the party.

The Garden alone. This is the open-air heart of the site. The venue lists a pool, bars, cabanas, bungalows, daybeds, terrace tables, DJ sofas and backstage sofas. In other words, the same setting the regular garden parties use, with the seating already built in.

The venue publishes figures for each space on its page. We do not repeat them here: what matters is the number of guests you have in mind, and the venue answers on that basis for your date.

What kind of event suits it

The page names no list of event types, so the honest answer is: ask. What the setting lends itself to is plain enough.

Food and drink

The venue promises "world class food" for private events, and the site has its own kitchens: Ina Ré for dinner and Café Kitsuné for lighter moments. What is served, in which format, and whether a set menu or a buffet suits your group is settled with the venue's events team for your date. Tell the concierge about dietary needs early so they are part of the first request.

Music and atmosphere

The Garden already has its DJ setup and its sofas, because it is where the twice-weekly parties happen. Whether you bring your own DJ, use the venue's, or want something quieter is part of the brief. Nothing is assumed until the venue says yes.

Private event or a table on a party night?

Not every celebration needs a full hire. On a Tuesday or Friday the garden hosts its own party, and a group can book a table for the night instead: the table is the only reserved space, its minimum spend is set by the venue per night, and the table is yours once the venue confirms it. That suits a group that wants the party as it is. A private event suits a group that wants the place to itself, its own music and its own timing. The table booking guide explains the first option.

How the enquiry works

  1. Tell the concierge the date or dates you are considering, the kind of event, roughly how many guests, and which space appeals.
  2. FirstBali sends the request to the venue's events team. We never pass on their contact details; we book on your behalf.
  3. The venue answers with what it can offer for that date and its own terms.
  4. You decide. Nothing is confirmed until the venue confirms it in writing. If a deposit is asked, it follows the venue's terms, and paying it is not in itself a confirmation.

A few things worth knowing before you ask. Party nights at Desa Kitsuné are 21+ with a valid photo ID, so check with the venue whether the same applies to your event. Dates on the regular party nights are the hardest to free up, so give alternatives. The parties run "rain or shine", and the venue will tell you how it handles weather for a private hire.

Questions we get asked

+Can you hire Desa Kitsuné for a private event?

Yes. The venue offers the whole village or The Garden alone for private events. FirstBali sends the enquiry and the venue confirms what it can offer for your date.

+What does The Garden include?

The venue lists a pool, bars, cabanas, bungalows, daybeds, terrace tables, DJ sofas and backstage sofas.

+How many guests can attend?

It depends on the space and the format. Tell the concierge your guest count and the venue answers for your date.

+How much does a private event cost?

The venue sets its terms for each event and date. The concierge passes on the venue's answer; we never quote a figure ourselves.

+Is my event confirmed once I pay a deposit?

No. Any deposit follows the venue's terms; the event is confirmed only when the venue confirms it.

+Is a table on a party night an alternative?

Yes, for a group happy to share the party. On Tuesdays and Fridays a table is the reserved space, with a minimum spend set by the venue for the night.
