Spa then dinner in Bali: pairing a treatment with a table

A spa then dinner in Bali: three ways to pair a treatment with an evening table, from Regent Canggu to Ina Ré and Zumana's Manuza, and how FirstBali asks both places for your day.

Updated November 8, 2026 · 4 min read

A spa then dinner in Bali works best when both happen in the same part of the island: a treatment in the afternoon, a shower, and a table nearby rather than a long drive across the island. In our catalogue, Canggu pairs the Regent Spa or Reload Sanctuary with dinner at Ina Ré, the restaurant of Desa Kitsuné, and the south pairs White Rock Beach Club's spa with dinner on the coast or at Zumana.

This guide is about the pairing. For the spas themselves, see the spa day guide; for dinners on their own, the romantic dinner guide.

Why pair them in one area

After a massage, nobody wants to sit in traffic. The simple rule is to choose the dinner first, then the spa closest to it — or to stay in one place for both. Each of the three plans below keeps the day in one area.

Plan one: Canggu, from Regent to Ina Ré

The treatment

Regent Bali Canggu, IHG's beachfront resort on Batu Bolong, is home to the first Regent Spa & Wellness. The hotel's pages do not set out every condition for visitors who are not staying, so the concierge asks the resort for your day.

If you prefer heat and cold to oils, Reload Sanctuary on Jalan Canggu Padang Linjong has a recovery area with sauna, steam room, ice baths, cold plunge and pool. It is adults only (18+).

The dinner

You can stay at the resort: two of Regent's restaurants are led by Chef Andrew Walsh — Sazón, a Mediterranean neighbourhood hideaway, and CURE Bali, European cooking shaped by Asian flavours. See the Regent guide.

Or move to Ina Ré, the restaurant of Desa Kitsuné on Jalan Munduk Catu. Chilean executive chef Cristian Encina brings together Mediterranean flavours and Latin American street food: paellas to share, ceviches, tacos, empanadas and wood-fired meats. It has private dining rooms for groups. See the Ina Ré guide.

If the night goes on

On Tuesdays and Fridays, the Desa Kitsuné garden becomes the party, rain or shine, on the same grounds as Ina Ré. Parties are 21+ and smart casual, so pack the evening outfit with the spa bag. The pool on the grounds is decorative, not for swimming.

Plan two: the south, White Rock and the coast

White Rock Beach Club sits on Melasti Beach in Ungasan, near Uluwatu. Among its daybeds, cabanas, lagoon pool and rock pool, the club has a spa and a large covered restaurant serving local and international dishes, so treatment and meal can happen in one place. Which treatments are available on your day is for the club to confirm. See the White Rock guide.

For a dinner elsewhere in the south, see the Uluwatu restaurants guide. And if the evening should end on the clifftop, Savaya in Pecatu is open daily, with Last Light every Monday and international headliners at weekends.

Plan three: Kuta, a beach-club day into Manuza

Zumana, at Sunset Bay in Kuta, is a Savaya Group beach club whose restaurant is Manuza. Its catalogue entry does not list a spa, so this plan is a slow beach-club afternoon on a daybed or by the pool, then dinner at Manuza, with the dance floor there if you want it. See the Manuza guide.

What to tell the concierge

Pairing two bookings is mostly a matter of order. Send the concierge:

  1. The day, and whether it is a celebration.
  2. How many of you, and whether everyone wants a treatment or only some.
  3. The kind of treatment: massage, hydrotherapy, or a recovery session.
  4. The kind of dinner: quiet, sharing plates, or one that becomes a night out.
  5. Where you are staying, so a car can take you from one to the other.

The concierge asks the spa and the restaurant for your day and comes back with what each answers. Neither is booked until the place itself confirms. An assistant answers at any hour; the team works through the Bali day and evening.

Small things that help

  • Leave a gap between the treatment and the table, so nobody arrives in a rush.
  • If the dinner is at a club or beach club, check the dress code; smart casual means no spa robe and flip-flops.
  • Ask for a driver for the evening rather than a separate car each way; see the transport page.

Questions we get asked

+Where can I have a spa then dinner in Bali?

In Canggu, the Regent Spa or Reload Sanctuary pairs with dinner at Regent's restaurants or Ina Ré at Desa Kitsuné. In the south, White Rock Beach Club has both a spa and a covered restaurant.

+Can I use the Regent Spa without staying there?

The resort's pages do not state every condition for visitors. The concierge asks the resort for your day and tells you its answer.

+Can the evening continue at a party after dinner?

Yes. Ina Ré shares its grounds with Desa Kitsuné, whose garden parties run on Tuesdays and Fridays; Zumana's dance floor is beside Manuza. Both are 21+ and smart casual.

+Does Zumana have a spa?

Its catalogue entry does not mention one. A Zumana day is a beach-club afternoon followed by dinner at Manuza.

+Is a spa and dinner booked through FirstBali confirmed straight away?

No. The concierge asks each place for your day; each booking is yours once that place confirms it.
