Team offsite in Bali: work days, team dinner, night out
A team offsite in Bali needs three things: a place to work, one dinner that brings everyone together, and an optional night out at Savaya, Zumana or Desa Kitsuné. Where, and how to plan each.

A team offsite in Bali works when each day has one purpose: sessions in a room built for meetings, one dinner that brings the whole team together, and a night out that people choose to join. Venues in our catalogue publish meeting rooms (White Rock, The Apurva Kempinski), corporate retreats (Akar) and team-building programmes (Finns), and the three partner clubs — Savaya, Zumana and Desa Kitsuné — can close the week.
Shape the days before the venues
An offsite fails when every evening is a party. Decide first what the team must leave with, then give the days a rhythm: work in the morning, time off in the afternoon, one shared evening, and a free night or two. Choose a base area for the stay — Uluwatu and Nusa Dua for quiet and the sea, Canggu and Berawa for cafés and evenings out, Ubud for the jungle. Where to stay in Bali compares them, and a group villa can house a small team under one roof.
A room to work in
These venues publish meeting and event spaces on their own sites:
- White Rock, above Melasti Beach in Uluwatu: a beachfront meeting room and the Samudera Ballroom, offered for meetings and conferences, company gatherings and team building.
- The Apurva Kempinski, Nusa Dua: the Candi Ballroom, pillarless with an ocean view and daylight, offered for executive retreats and incentive programmes.
- Akar, near Ubud, names corporate retreats, board dinners and partner appreciation nights among its private events, with exclusive venue hire.
White Rock Beach Club
Beach clubs · Uluwatu
White Rock Beach Club sits on Melasti Beach in Ungasan, near Uluwatu, at the end of the cliff. Guests settle on daybeds, sofas or cabanas around a lagoon pool and a rock pool; families have a kids' pool and a kids' menu. There is a spa, a large covered restaurant serving local and international dishes, and enclosed, air-conditioned party suites overlooking the pool and the ocean. Resident DJs play every day, and foam parties run at weekends. The club also hosts weddings and events.
The Apurva Kempinski
Restaurants · Nusa Dua
The Apurva Kempinski Bali is a five-star resort on the cliffs of Nusa Dua, facing the Indian Ocean, and its dining spreads across several venues. Koral, which the hotel presents as Bali's first aquarium restaurant, serves set and tasting menus beside the tanks, adults only at dinner. Izakaya by OKU is a sister to OKU in Jakarta; Reef Beach Club sits on the sand beside a 42-metre infinity pool; Bai Yun serves hot pot and dim sum; L'Atelier by Cyril Kongo is a lounge with ocean views and Mediterranean tapas.
Akar
Restaurants · Ubud
Akar, meaning “root”, is the steakhouse of K Club in Kedisan, Tegallalang, north of Ubud, set in the greenery of the jungle. Spread over two floors with two bars and an open kitchen, it grills Australian and Japanese cuts, Wagyu included, over charcoal, alongside seafood, charcoal-roasted bone marrow and a curated wine list. On Friday and Saturday nights dinner turns festive, with live DJs, dancers and a laser show. Akar has won Best Luxury Steakhouse in Indonesia at the World Luxury Restaurant Awards.
For a small team, a villa living room may be enough; ask the concierge what a villa can set up before you book it.
An afternoon together
Finns, in Berawa, publishes team-building programmes adapted to the team, indoors or outdoors, and hosts corporate events with dedicated event specialists. White Rock lists team building among its formats too. A boat is the other classic: a private yacht for the team, with a spare day in the plan in case the sea does not cooperate — see the yacht charter guide.
The team dinner
One dinner where everybody sits together does more than three spread out. Restaurants that host groups on their own terms include Sardine in Seminyak, which offers MICE events for clients, partners or teams over the rice paddies, and Ina Ré at Desa Kitsuné, with private dining rooms for groups. The corporate dinner guide covers every venue that publishes a corporate offer, with what each states.
Sardine
Restaurants · Seminyak
Sardine by K-Club is a seafood restaurant on Jalan Petitenget in Seminyak, set in an open-air bamboo building that looks over a stretch of rice paddies, with a terrace for lunch or dinner. The kitchen cooks the daily catch (yellowfin tuna, scallops, snapper) in a modern Mediterranean style, with vegetables from its own farms and a vegetarian set menu. Evenings can run late: Les Toilettes, the hidden club on site, hosts DJs, and once a month The Gates of Bali brings fire dancers and aerial acts.
Ina Ré
Restaurants · Canggu
Ina Ré is the restaurant of Desa Kitsuné, the lifestyle village on Jalan Munduk Catu in Canggu. Chilean executive chef Cristian Encina brings together Mediterranean flavours and Latin American street food: paellas to share, ceviches, tacos, empanadas and wood-fired meats such as the Stockyard tomahawk. The space draws on Balinese arts and crafts, with handmade materials, weavings and traditional motifs, and includes private dining rooms for groups. Sunday brunch has its own menu, and so do Courtyard Saturdays.
The night out, for those who want it
Not everyone on a team wants a club night, so make it the optional evening. The three partner clubs are each a different kind of night:
- Savaya, on the clifftop in Pecatu, named number one in Asia in DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs: Last Light on Mondays, a sunset set from The Cube, and headliners at weekends.
- Zumana, at Sunset Bay in Kuta, a Savaya Group beach club: Ritual of the Sun on Saturdays, Zumana Sunday and a weeknight rotation.
- Desa Kitsuné, Canggu: garden parties on Tuesdays and Fridays, rain or shine, next to Ina Ré.

All three are 21+ with a valid photo ID (passport or driver's licence), so check the team's ages. A table is the only reserved space for a group: its minimum spend is set by the venue for each night, and at Savaya and Zumana the table map says it includes food and beverage credit. At Savaya and Zumana, re-entry is only possible with a table. Savaya is cashless and searches bags, with limited lockers and no luggage. Neither Savaya nor Zumana publishes a corporate or buyout offer, so the concierge asks them what can be arranged; see Savaya for a corporate event and Zumana for a corporate event.
Moving the team
One van keeps a team on schedule. A Toyota Hiace Premio or a Toyota Alphard with driver can run between the stay, the meeting room and the evening, and wait; see vans with driver. Arrivals on different flights are easier with an airport transfer booked per person.
How FirstBali arranges it
Send the concierge your dates, the size of the team, the base area and the one evening that matters most. We ask each venue on your behalf and check what can be arranged; a room, table or villa is yours once the venue or owner confirms it, and any minimum spend or deposit follows the venue's terms — a deposit is not a confirmation. An assistant answers at any hour, the team through the Bali day and evening.
