Bali spa day: three places in our catalogue to slow down
A spa day in Bali, from the Regent Spa in Canggu to the recovery area at Reload Sanctuary and the spa at White Rock Beach Club: what each offers and how to ask.

For a spa day in Bali, three addresses in the FirstBali catalogue cover three different moods: the Regent Spa & Wellness at Regent Bali Canggu for a full resort treatment, the recovery area at Reload Sanctuary for sauna, steam and cold plunge, and the spa at White Rock Beach Club near Uluwatu if you want the treatment and the pool in the same day. FirstBali asks each of them for your date through the concierge; nothing is booked until the venue confirms.
Regent Spa & Wellness, Canggu
Regent Bali Canggu, IHG's beachfront resort on Batu Bolong, is home to the first Regent Spa & Wellness. According to the hotel's opening announcement, the concept was developed by IHG's in-house spa consultants, Raison d'Etre, and is built as a path meant to reset the mind and lift the senses, using crystal energy, aromas and light.
What the announcement describes:
- Treatment rooms, one of them intended for couples.
- A hydrotherapy area with a vitality pool, ice baths and saunas.
- Balinese-inspired scrubs, wraps and massages, alongside modern skincare.
- The Massage Revolution, the signature treatment, performed on a warm quartz-sand bed with neroli essence.
The resort's pages do not spell out every condition for visitors who are not staying, so FirstBali does not assume: the concierge asks the resort for your day and tells you what it answers. A spa morning pairs naturally with lunch at one of the resort's restaurants; our Regent Bali Canggu guide describes each of them.
Reload Sanctuary: recovery rather than pampering
If your idea of a spa day is heat and cold rather than oils, Reload Sanctuary on Jalan Canggu Padang Linjong is the address. Brought to Bali by the team behind Reload Gym in Jakarta, in a building designed by Indonesian architect Andra Matin, it is first a training club, with open-air floors and a rooftop above the rice fields. Its recovery area has a sauna, a steam room, ice baths, a cold plunge and a pool, and Reload Kitchen serves healthy plates on site.
It suits the morning after a big night, a surf trip, or a group that wants a session together before the evening. Reload Sanctuary is adults only (18+). Our Reload Sanctuary guide covers the training side.
White Rock Beach Club: treatment, then the pool
White Rock Beach Club sits on Melasti Beach in Ungasan, near Uluwatu, at the end of the cliff. Among its daybeds, cabanas, lagoon pool and rock pool, the club has a spa, so a treatment can be one part of a longer beach day rather than the whole outing. Families are welcome too, with a kids' pool and a kids' menu, which makes it the one of the three where a parent can book a treatment while the others swim. Which treatments are on offer on a given day is something the concierge checks with the club. More in our White Rock Beach Club guide.
How to choose
- For a classic resort treatment, a couples' room or a signature massage: the Regent Spa.
- For recovery, sauna, ice and cold plunge, with training if you like: Reload Sanctuary.
- For a day by the water where the spa is one stop among several: White Rock Beach Club.
A few practical points apply to all three. Tell the concierge how many people, which day, and whether you want treatments side by side or one after another; the venue sets what it can do. If anyone in the group is pregnant, recovering from an injury or has a health condition, tell the venue directly when it asks, and follow its advice rather than ours. And leave room in the day: a spa morning followed by a long lunch is a better plan than a treatment squeezed between two transfers.
Spa days that fit a trip
A spa day works well as the quiet day in a busy week, on a honeymoon, or for a girls' trip before a night out. If you are staying in a villa, the concierge can also check what can be arranged there. Transport between the Bukit and Canggu is something to plan rather than improvise; FirstBali arranges a car with a driver if you need one.
How FirstBali handles the request
Send the day, the venue you prefer and the number of guests to the concierge. An assistant answers at any hour, and the team takes it up through the Bali day and evening. FirstBali asks the venue, comes back with what it says, and your slot is yours only once the venue has confirmed it. Any amount is confirmed with the venue, never quoted in advance.
