Desa Kitsuné solo: going to the garden party alone

You can go to Desa Kitsuné alone: register yourself on the night's guestlist, arrive before the cutoff shown on its page, bring photo ID, and know that the venue prefers mixed groups and couples.

Yes, you can go to Desa Kitsuné on your own. Its guestlist is registered person by person, so a solo guest signs up exactly like everyone else, on the page of the night they want. Two things matter more when you are alone: the venue says mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred, and the cutoff for complimentary entry comes earlier for men. Arrive early, dressed for the door, with a valid photo ID.

How a solo guest gets in

Desa Kitsuné holds its garden parties every Tuesday and Friday, "rain or shine": guest DJs on Tuesdays, Bali-based DJs on Fridays. For each night you have three ways in, and each works the same for one person as for six.

  • The guestlist. Open the night on the calendar above and press its Guestlist button. You register yourself and a digital ticket arrives by email. Joining is free; entry is complimentary before the cutoff shown on the night's page, reduced after it.
  • A ticket. Some nights are ticketed only and have no list. Official tickets come only through the venue's own channel.
  • A table. The only reserved space. Its minimum spend is set by the venue for each night, which makes it a lot for one, but it is there if friends join you later.

The step-by-step form is in the Desa Kitsuné guestlist guide.

What being alone changes

The venue's terms say it plainly: "Mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred", and "registration on the guest list does not guarantee complimentary entry"; management decides at the door. That is not a ban on solo guests, but on a busy night a man arriving alone has the least room for error. A few habits help:

  • Arrive early. The men's cutoff comes before the women's. Read the times on the night's page, not on a flyer you saw last week.
  • Register for the right date. A Tuesday registration does not carry over to Friday.
  • Dress for the door. Smart casual is the standard; the details are in the Desa Kitsuné dress code.
  • Bring your ID. The parties are 21+, with a passport or driving licence.

A village, not just a dance floor

What makes Desa Kitsuné easier than most clubs for one person is that it is a village. In the venue's description it is a lifestyle village in the heart of Canggu, a 5,000 m² garden run by the Savaya Group with the French-Japanese brand Maison Kitsuné. Café Kitsuné, the Ina Ré restaurant and a Maison Kitsuné boutique share the grounds, so you can arrive before the party rather than walk straight into it.

  • Dinner at Ina Ré. Mediterranean flavours and Latin American street food from Chilean executive chef Cristian Encina, in the same village as the garden. Ask the concierge to check what can be arranged for one on your night.
  • Café Kitsuné. The café of the village; the Café Kitsuné guide covers it.

Tuesday or Friday on your own

Neither night is reserved for groups. Choose by the music: Tuesday if a guest DJ on the bill is the reason to go, Friday if you want to hear DJs based on the island. Desa Kitsuné Tuesday or Friday compares them in detail.

Getting home alone

Plan the way back before you leave. Desa Kitsuné is in Canggu; FirstBali can arrange a car with a driver through transport, and the general advice for a night out on your own is in Bali night out safety. In an emergency, call 112.

The other two Savaya Group venues, solo

The same rules apply at Zumana in Kuta and Savaya in Uluwatu: individual registration, mixed groups and couples preferred, 21+ with photo ID. If you are on the island for the week, Zumana solo and Savaya solo cover them, and Bali nightlife solo widens the view to the whole island.

How FirstBali helps

Tell the concierge the date. An assistant answers at any hour, the team through the Bali day and evening. We send the link to the night's page so you can register yourself, and if you would rather have a table, we book it with the venue; it is yours once Desa Kitsuné has confirmed it, and any deposit follows the venue's terms and is not a confirmation.

Questions we get asked

+Can I go to Desa Kitsuné alone?

Yes. Each guest registers individually for each night, so a solo guest signs up like everyone else. The venue says mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred, and the door decides.

+Is the cutoff different for men?

Yes, at Desa Kitsuné the complimentary-entry cutoff is earlier for men. The times are on each night's page.

+Does a guestlist registration guarantee entry?

No. In the venue's terms, registration does not guarantee complimentary entry, and management can refuse entry at its discretion.

+Which night is better alone, Tuesday or Friday?

Neither is reserved for groups. Tuesday brings guest DJs, Friday Bali-based DJs: choose by the music.

+What do I need at the door?

A valid photo ID such as a passport or driving licence, since the parties are 21+, and a smart casual outfit.

+Can FirstBali add me to the list?

No, the list is the venue's own and you register yourself. FirstBali sends you the link to the night's page, and can book a table with the venue.
