Desa Kitsuné vs El Kabron: Canggu garden or Uluwatu cliff?

Desa Kitsuné is a Canggu village whose garden becomes a 21+ party every Tuesday and Friday; El Kabron is a Pecatu cliff venue with sunset parties and live musicians. What each offers.

Updated November 8, 2026 · 4 min read

Desa Kitsuné and El Kabron answer two different evenings. Desa Kitsuné is a lifestyle village in the heart of Canggu, set in a garden by the Savaya Group with the French-Japanese brand Maison Kitsuné; every Tuesday and Friday the Garden becomes the party, rain or shine, and parties are 21+. El Kabron stands on the limestone cliffs of Pecatu in Uluwatu, above the Indian Ocean, with an adults-only infinity-pool lounge, a Sunset Theater at the cliff edge and a Mediterranean restaurant; its sunset parties bring DJs with live saxophone, violin and trumpet. One is a garden party after dark in Canggu; the other a cliff-edge sunset in the south. FirstBali arranges both through the concierge.

The short answer

  • A party night twice a week in Canggu: Desa Kitsuné, Tuesdays with guest DJs and Fridays with Bali-based DJs.
  • A sunset with live musicians: El Kabron, whose sunset parties pair DJs with saxophone, violin and trumpet.
  • A sunset dinner at the cliff edge: El Kabron's Sunset Theater, set up for it.
  • Dinner and the party in the same grounds: Desa Kitsuné, where Ina Ré shares the village.
  • A plan that does not depend on the sky: Desa Kitsuné, whose garden parties run rain or shine.

The setting

Desa Kitsuné — desa means village — brings together Café Kitsuné, the Ina Ré restaurant and a Maison Kitsuné boutique in one garden. The pool there is decorative, part of the setting rather than somewhere to swim. More in the Desa Kitsuné guide.

El Kabron has three parts: the Hedonism Lounge, an adults-only infinity-pool area with daybeds and sofas; the Sunset Theater at the cliff edge; and a Mediterranean restaurant serving seafood, oysters, paella and steak. More in the El Kabron guide.

The week at each

Desa Kitsuné throws its garden parties every Tuesday and Friday: guest DJs on Tuesdays, Bali-based DJs on Fridays. Tuesday or Friday at Desa Kitsuné explains the difference. Each night has its own page on the events calendar, with that night's terms.

El Kabron lists the White Sunset Party, the Afro House Sunset Party and pool parties among its weekly regulars. For a specific date, the concierge checks what is on.

Getting in

Desa Kitsuné parties are 21+ with a valid photo ID, passport or driver's licence, and smart casual. Many nights have a guestlist run by the venue: each guest registers on the night's page and receives a digital ticket by email. Joining is free; entry is complimentary before the cutoff shown on the night's page, reduced after, and the cutoff is earlier for men. Registration does not guarantee complimentary entry, and mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred. Some nights are ticketed only. The steps are in the Desa Kitsuné guestlist guide.

El Kabron: the Hedonism Lounge is adults-only, in the venue's own description. The concierge checks its entry terms for your date.

Reserved space

At Desa Kitsuné, a table is the only reserved space for the party. The venue sets its minimum spend per night; the flyer's Table button on the events page opens the night's map, and FirstBali books with the venue. The table is yours once the venue confirms it; any deposit follows the venue's terms and is not a confirmation. See booking a table at Desa Kitsuné.

At El Kabron, you can ask for a daybed or sofa in the Hedonism Lounge or a sunset dinner in the Sunset Theater. The venue confirms availability and its terms.

Rain and timing

The two plans react differently to the weather. El Kabron's best moments are built around the sunset at the cliff edge, so a cloudy evening changes the picture. Desa Kitsuné's parties are announced rain or shine, as the rainy-night guide explains. On a trip with uncertain skies, it can make sense to keep the cliff for a clear evening and the garden for any Tuesday or Friday.

Which one fits your plan

  • Desa Kitsuné offers a garden party in Canggu twice a week, with dinner at Ina Ré in the same village and parties that run rain or shine.
  • El Kabron offers a sunset on the Pecatu cliffs, with live musicians alongside the DJs, an adults-only pool lounge and a Mediterranean dinner.

Tell the concierge the date, how many you are, and whether you want the sunset or the party. The team checks what can be arranged and comes back with the venue's terms. An assistant answers at any hour, the team through the Bali day and evening.
