Pererenan Bali guide: the beach, days out and nights
Pererenan, Canggu's calmer neighbour: a black-sand surf beach, training and long lunches nearby, and Desa Kitsuné's garden parties close by. How to spend a day and a night there.

Pererenan is the calmer neighbour of Canggu, on Bali's southwest coast in Badung. Its beach is black sand, known for surf and sunsets, and the area has no club of its own: days are for the sea, training and long lunches, and nights for Canggu next door, with Desa Kitsuné's garden parties on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Pererenan at a glance
FirstBali's villas page sums Pererenan up as "quieter than Canggu" and "where the locals moved to". Badung Regency's own tourism site describes Pererenan Beach, in the Canggu area, as having "unique black sand" and "a much calmer atmosphere" than Bali's crowded beaches. That calm is the point of the place: you stay here to sleep well and go out when you decide.

The beach
According to Badung's tourism site, Pererenan Beach is known as a surf spot, with "consistent waves" that draw surfers of various levels and an active local surf community. The same page notes that many consider its sunset among the best in Badung, with a mountain backdrop and a panoramic view of the ocean, and mentions walks, yoga classes by the beach and Balinese spa services nearby.
It is a beach for surfing, walking and the sunset more than for a beach club day. For daybeds and pools, the beach clubs are on either side of it.

How FirstBali helps
Tell the concierge where you are staying, your dates and what you want from the evenings. An assistant answers at any hour, the team through the Bali day and evening, and checks what can be arranged: a dinner table, a club table, the car. A club table's minimum spend is set by the venue per night; it is yours once the venue confirms it, and any deposit follows the venue's terms and is not a confirmation.
