Savaya and Finns both come up when people ask where the big party is in Bali, but they are built for different moments. Savaya is a clifftop club in Pecatu, Uluwatu, 100 metres above the Indian Ocean, with pools and The Cube framing the horizon, and international headliners at weekends. FINNS Beach Club stretches along the beachfront at Berawa, in Canggu: adults-only, under a bamboo structure, with several party zones, pools and swim-up bars, and an all-day party every day. FINNS Beach Club stretches along the beachfront at Berawa, in Canggu, under a bamboo structure designed by PBM Architecture. It is adults-only and divided into several party zones, from FINNS Beach Party and FINNS Garden Party to FINNS Grey Goose Party and FINNS VIP Party, with pools, swim-up bars, private cabanas, dance floors and restaurants spread across the site. Resident DJs and live singers keep an all-day party going every day, and the club also hosts private events, birthdays and corporate groups.

The setting

Savaya sits on the limestone cliffs of the Bukit, between jungle and ocean. The draw is height and horizon, with The Cube as its landmark. DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs named it the number-one club in Asia three years running and fifth in the world, as the venue states.

Finns is on the sand at Berawa, under a bamboo structure designed by PBM Architecture. Pools, swim-up bars, private cabanas, dance floors and restaurants are spread across the site, so the day can move from one zone to another without leaving.

The rhythm of the week

Savaya is open daily: Last Light every Monday, weekday nights, weekend headliners, and People of the Sun on Sundays. Each night has its own page and terms on the events page.

Finns runs every day, with resident DJs and live singers. Its party is an all-day one; Savaya is where people plan the evening itself.

Getting in

Savaya is strictly 21+ with a valid photo ID, passport or driver's licence, and the dress code is smart casual. Many nights have a guestlist run by the venue: each guest registers on the night's page, joining is free, and entry is complimentary before the cutoff shown there, reduced after. Registration does not guarantee complimentary entry, and the venue states that mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred. Savaya is cashless, bags are searched, lockers are limited, and no luggage or outside food or drink is allowed. Re-entry is only with a table.

Finns is adults-only. Its own entry terms apply, and the concierge checks them for your date.

Reserved space

At Savaya, a table is the only reserved space. The venue sets its minimum spend per night, and its table map notes that it includes food and beverage credit. The flyer's Table button opens that night's map, and FirstBali books with the venue. The table is yours once the venue confirms it; any deposit follows the venue's terms and is not a confirmation.

At Finns, the private spaces are its cabanas and the zones it sets aside, including FINNS VIP Party. Here too, nothing is confirmed until the club confirms it.

Groups and occasions

The two venues are on different parts of the coast, so most guests give each its own day. A day at Finns suits swimwear, the sun and the pools; a Savaya night calls for smart casual clothes, your ID and a driver who waits — see the private driver guide.
