Uluwatu weekend: beach clubs by day, Savaya by night

A weekend in Uluwatu: Savaya's international headliners and its Sunday People of the Sun, White Rock's weekend foam parties, El Kabron's sunset parties on the cliff. A plan for the three days.

Updated November 8, 2026 · 4 min read

A weekend in Uluwatu runs on two rhythms: beach clubs by day and Savaya by night. Savaya, on the Pecatu clifftop, runs its international headliners at weekends and its Sunday sessions, People of the Sun; White Rock Beach Club on Melasti Beach holds foam parties at weekends; and El Kabron's sunset parties fill the cliff edge. Choose one big night, keep the other days lighter, and stay in the area.

The shape of the weekend

A weekend in Uluwatu can stay on the peninsula: the beach clubs, the cliff and the club are all here. The question is which night you make the big one. Savaya says its headliners come at weekends, without promising one on every date, so start from the calendar above and fit the rest around it.

Friday: arrive and start gently

Use Friday to settle in. An afternoon at El Kabron, on the limestone cliffs of Pecatu, in its Hedonism Lounge, an adults-only infinity-pool area with daybeds and sofas, or a dinner in its Sunset Theater at the cliff edge, set up for sunset dinners. If the Friday on Savaya's calendar is a headliner night you want, make it the big one instead. Bali Friday night covers the island's Fridays.

Saturday: the beach, then the night

  • By day, White Rock Beach Club. On Melasti Beach in Ungasan, at the end of the cliff, with daybeds, sofas and cabanas around a lagoon pool and a rock pool. Resident DJs play every day, and foam parties run at weekends. A spa, a large covered restaurant and enclosed, air-conditioned party suites overlooking the pool and the ocean complete it.
  • By night, Savaya. The clifftop club 100 metres above the Indian Ocean, around The Cube; DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs named it number one in Asia from 2024 to 2026 and fifth in the world in 2026. Read the night's page for its terms.

Sunday: People of the Sun

Savaya's Sundays are People of the Sun. If Saturday was the big night, Sunday can be a slower day by the pool and a return to the cliff; if you skipped Saturday, Sunday is the alternative. El Kabron's weekly sunset parties, with DJs and live saxophone, violin and trumpet, are the other Sunday option on the cliffs; ask which one falls on your date. More in Savaya on Sunday.

Guestlist, ticket or table

The same three choices apply on each night at Savaya, and the terms change per date.

  1. Guestlist. Every guest registers individually on the night's page and gets a digital ticket by email. Joining is free; entry is complimentary before the cutoff shown on that night's page and reduced after it. Registration does not guarantee complimentary entry, and mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred.
  2. Ticket. Some nights are ticketed only, shown by a Table button with no Guestlist one. Official tickets come only through the venue's own channel and are "primarily for standing room only".
  3. Table. The only reserved space and the only way to leave and come back. The venue sets the minimum spend per night; on its map it "Includes Food & Beverage Credit". Weekend tables go first, so ask early.

The door, all weekend

Savaya is strictly 21+ with a valid photo ID, a passport or driving licence, and smart casual. It is cashless, searches bags, has limited lockers and accepts no luggage or outside food or drink. After a beach day, change at the villa and leave the beach bag behind: the Savaya dress code has the rest.

Where to stay and how to move

To stay on the peninsula, base yourselves in a villa in the area: see villas in Uluwatu or browse our villas. Between the beach clubs, the cliff and the villa, book a driver through transport rather than finding a car at the end of each night.

Leaving Uluwatu for one night

The other Savaya Group venues sit elsewhere on the island: Zumana in Kuta holds Ritual of the Sun on Saturdays and Zumana Sunday, and Desa Kitsuné in Canggu has its garden party on Fridays. If one of them tempts you, give it a whole night rather than combining it with Savaya.

How FirstBali helps

Tell the concierge your dates, how many you are and which night you want to make the big one. An assistant answers at any hour, the team through the Bali day and evening. We check what each venue has on, send the guestlist links, book the tables, daybeds and dinners with the venues, and arrange the driver. Nothing is confirmed until the venue has confirmed it, and any deposit follows the venue's terms and is not a confirmation.
