For a sunset in Uluwatu, three addresses stand out, each for a different kind of evening. Savaya holds Last Light every Monday, a sunset set from The Cube on its Pecatu clifftop. El Kabron, on the limestone cliffs of Pecatu, runs sunset parties with DJs and live instruments and has a Sunset Theater at the cliff edge for dinner. Rock Bar, in nearby Jimbaran, is the cliffside bar where guests watch the sun set over the sea, then stay for the DJs.
The question is less "where" than "what for". This guide sorts them that way.
For a sunset set: Savaya
Savaya is a clifftop club in Pecatu, between jungle and limestone cliffs, with pools and The Cube, the landmark that frames its horizon. Every Monday, Last Light is a sunset set played from The Cube. On other days the club is open too, with weekday nights and international headliners at weekends; DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs named it number one in Asia three years running, as Savaya reports.

For a sunset party: El Kabron
El Kabron has three parts on the cliff: the Hedonism Lounge, an adults-only infinity-pool area with daybeds and sofas; the Sunset Theater at the cliff edge; and a Mediterranean restaurant. Its sunset parties bring DJs with live saxophone, violin and trumpet. Weekly regulars include the White Sunset Party, the Afro House Sunset Party and pool parties, so pick the day by its name.
For a sunset dinner: El Kabron's Sunset Theater

For a drink and the DJs: Rock Bar, Jimbaran
Rock Bar is AYANA Bali's cliffside bar, reached by inclinator, with cocktails inspired by the colours of the sea and Mediterranean tapas built on Jimbaran Bay seafood. Guests watch the sun set over the sea, then stay as the DJs play on. Non-resident visitors can reserve; some areas are kept for the resort's own guests. Payment is by card or QR only.

El Kabron stands on the limestone cliffs of Pecatu in Uluwatu, above the Indian Ocean, and has been open since 2011. It has three parts: the Hedonism Lounge, an adults-only infinity-pool area with daybeds and sofas; the Sunset Theater at the cliff edge, set up for sunset dinners; and a Mediterranean restaurant serving seafood, oysters, paella and steak. Rock Bar is AYANA Bali's cliffside bar in Jimbaran, stretching some 270 metres along the rocks above the ocean, with 880 seats spread over 22 areas. Guests reach it by inclinator, watch the sun set over the sea, then stay as the DJs play on. The bar pours cocktails inspired by the colours of the sea alongside Mediterranean tapas built on Jimbaran Bay seafood. Non-resident visitors can reserve; the Round Deck is kept for villa guests and the Top Bar for hotel guests. Payment by card or QR only.
The afternoon before: White Rock
White Rock Beach Club sits on Melasti Beach in Ungasan, at the end of the cliff, with daybeds, sofas and cabanas around a lagoon pool and a rock pool, and resident DJs every day. It is a beach day rather than a sunset bar, and its catalogue description makes no sunset claim; it is how some people fill the hours before moving on to one of the addresses above.
Choosing by day of the week
- Monday: Last Light at Savaya.
- A day with a named El Kabron sunset party: check which one is on that day.
- Any evening for a quieter drink: Rock Bar.
- Weekend: Savaya's headliners if you want the night to keep going after dark.
The programme of any given day is on its page in the events calendar. A sunset bar and a club night can also share one evening: a drink at the cliff edge first, then the club once the light has gone, with the ride between them planned in advance.
If the sky clouds over, the evening still holds: the DJs, the dinner and the cliff are there whatever the light does.
Seats at sundown
If you want a reserved seat at this hour, ask ahead. At Savaya a table is the only reserved space, with a minimum spend set by the venue for that night that includes food and drink credit; any deposit follows Savaya's terms and is not a confirmation. Savaya is strictly 21+ with photo ID, cashless, and bags are searched. El Kabron's Hedonism Lounge is adults-only.
