Daybed or table in Bali: which one to book
In Bali a daybed is a beach club's day seat, a table is a club's reserved space for the night. Choose by when your day peaks: the pool and the sunset, or the headliner. Here is how each works.

In Bali, a daybed is the seat you book for a beach club day: a bed or sofa by the pool or the sand, kept for you through the afternoon and the sunset. A table is the reserved space of a club night, and at Savaya, Zumana and Desa Kitsuné it is the only reserved space on their nights. Choose by the moment that matters most to you: the swim and the sunset call for a daybed, the night and the dance floor for a table. FirstBali books either with the venue through the concierge.
The short answer
- Book a daybed for a day of pool, lunch, sun and sunset at a beach club, with service brought to you.
- Book a table for a night at a club, when you want a place of your own in a crowd, a group kept together and the freedom to leave and come back where the venue allows it.
- At the partner clubs, the line blurs: on their nights a daybed is one of the table areas, booked as a table.
- Book both when the day runs into the night: a daybed by day at one place, a table at night at another, or a single reservation at a club whose day and night share one site.
What a daybed is
A daybed is a wide bed or sofa for a small group, held for the day against terms the club sets for that seat and that date, usually a spend on food and drink. Sunbeds and cabanas sit either side of it, from one person to a bigger group. How daybeds work goes through the formats and cabana booking the bigger spaces. Finns Beach Club in Berawa, adults-only, has daybeds and private cabanas across its party zones; Zumana at Sunset Bay in Kuta is built around beachfront daybeds.
Zumana
Beach clubs · Kuta
Zumana is a beach club at Sunset Bay in Kuta, a Savaya Group property designed by Rockwell Group around beachfront daybeds, poolside spaces, bars and an open-air dance floor. Its centrepiece is ZENÍA, "The Eternal Host", a 10-metre sculpture by Daniel Popper made with Balinese artisans from Ubud, and its restaurant is Manuza. Open daily: Zumana Sunday, Monday and Tuesday every week, headliners on Wednesdays and Fridays, Ritual of the Sun on Saturdays. 21+, smart casual.
Finns Beach Club
Beach clubs · Berawa
FINNS Beach Club stretches along the beachfront at Berawa, in Canggu, under a bamboo structure designed by PBM Architecture. It is adults-only and divided into several party zones, from FINNS Beach Party and FINNS Garden Party to FINNS Grey Goose Party and FINNS VIP Party, with pools, swim-up bars, private cabanas, dance floors and restaurants spread across the site. Resident DJs and live singers keep an all-day party going every day, and the club also hosts private events, birthdays and corporate groups.
What a table is
On the partner clubs' nights, a table is the only reserved space. Its minimum spend is set by the venue for each night, and the Savaya and Zumana table maps say it "Includes Food & Beverage Credit". The Table button on a night's flyer on the events page opens the venue's own map for that night. FirstBali books with the venue, the table is yours once the venue confirms it, and any deposit follows the venue's terms and is not a confirmation. How table booking works explains the steps.
The differences that decide it
- The hours you care about. A daybed is for the day and the sunset; a table is for the night.
- Where you stand. At Savaya, tickets are primarily for standing room only. A table is a place to put things down, sit and come back to.
- Leaving and coming back. At Savaya and Zumana, re-entry is only with a table. A guest without one who steps out may not get back in.
- The door. A guestlist registration does not guarantee complimentary entry, and management decides; mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred. A confirmed table is booked with the venue, but the door terms, age limit and ID still apply to everyone at it.
- The group. A daybed suits a small group; a bigger one needs a cabana or neighbouring beds by day, and a table by night keeps everyone together in a crowd.
How it plays out at the partner clubs
Zumana
Zumana puts both on one site: a beach club with beachfront daybeds by day, and an open-air dance floor on its nights, from Ritual of the Sun on Saturdays to Zumana Sunday and the weeknight rotation. The Zumana daybed guide covers the day seat.
Savaya
Savaya is a clifftop club in Pecatu, Uluwatu, not a beach club, with pools and The Cube. Its Monday "Last Light" is a sunset set from The Cube, and weekends bring headliners. On its nights a daybed at Savaya is one of the table areas on the night's map, booked as a table with terms Savaya sets for that date; on a headliner night it is the difference between a standing ticket and a place of your own. The Savaya daybed guide covers it.
Desa Kitsuné
Desa Kitsuné's garden parties in Canggu run every Tuesday and Friday, rain or shine. It is a garden, not a beach club, and its pool is decorative, not for swimming. The Garden holds daybeds among its cabanas, bungalows and terrace tables, but each is booked as a table for the night: the choice there is between a reserved spot and the guestlist. The Desa Kitsuné daybed guide and Desa Kitsuné table booking explain how.

A day bed, then a table
The classic Bali day does both. A daybed at a beach club through the afternoon, a change of clothes, dinner, then a table at a club. Plan the ride between the two with the bookings; day to night and dinner and a club night show the routes. All three partner clubs are 21+ with an original photo ID, and Zumana and Savaya ask for smart casual, so the swimwear does not follow you to the table.
How FirstBali helps
Tell the concierge the date, the group, whether you want the day, the night or both, and where you are staying. The team asks the venues and comes back with what they can offer; nothing is yours until the venue confirms it. An assistant answers at any hour, the team through the Bali day and evening.
