Canggu sunset bars: the beachfront, then the night
Where to be at the end of the day in Canggu: the Berawa beachfront clubs, the Beach House at Regent, Luna on the Tabanan cliffs, and Desa Kitsuné's garden for the night after.
Updated November 8, 2026 · 4 min read

In Canggu, the end of the day happens on the beachfront. The big Berawa beach clubs, Finns and Atlas, sit right on the sand with DJs through the day; Regent Bali Canggu's Beach House pairs a pool and the ocean breeze with craft cocktails on Batu Bolong; and just west, Luna Beach Club on the Tabanan cliffs has DJs playing through sunset. For the night after, Desa Kitsuné's garden parties run on Tuesdays and Fridays.
This guide is about the drink at the end of the day. For dinner at that hour, read sunset dinner in Canggu.
On the sand at Berawa: Atlas
Atlas Beach Club sits on Berawa Beach. Its signature beanbags are on the sand facing the sea, beside a vast pool and a pool bar where DJs play through the day. The Deck restaurant overlooks the beach, and daily shows draw on the four elements. For a group that wants to sit together on the sand as the day ends, it is the most direct answer.
On the beachfront at Berawa: Finns
Finns Beach Club stretches along the Berawa beachfront under a bamboo structure. It is adults-only, split into several party zones with pools, swim-up bars and cabanas, and its resident DJs and live singers keep the party going all day, every day. For the comparison between the two, read Atlas or Finns.
Atlas Beach Club
Beach clubs · Berawa
Atlas Beach Club sits on Berawa Beach and bills itself as the biggest beach club in the world. Its signature beanbags sit right on the sand facing the sea, beside a vast pool and a pool bar where DJs play through the day. Daybeds and sofas are spread across distinct zones, from The Deck restaurant overlooking the beach to the Party Side in front of the stage. Daily shows draw on the four elements, and a beachfront padel court and a 100-metre flying fox complete the site.
Finns Beach Club
Beach clubs · Berawa
FINNS Beach Club stretches along the beachfront at Berawa, in Canggu, under a bamboo structure designed by PBM Architecture. It is adults-only and divided into several party zones, from FINNS Beach Party and FINNS Garden Party to FINNS Grey Goose Party and FINNS VIP Party, with pools, swim-up bars, private cabanas, dance floors and restaurants spread across the site. Resident DJs and live singers keep an all-day party going every day, and the club also hosts private events, birthdays and corporate groups.
A quieter drink on Batu Bolong: Regent's Beach House
Regent Bali Canggu is IHG's beachfront resort on Batu Bolong. Its Beach House pairs a pool and the ocean breeze with craft cocktails and seafood: a drink at the edge of the beach without a party around it. The resort's restaurants, Sazón and CURE Bali, are on site if the evening turns into dinner. See the Regent Bali Canggu guide.
West of Canggu: Luna, on the cliffs
Luna Beach Club is perched on the cliffs of the Tabanan coast, inside Nuanu Creative City by Nyanyi Beach. DJs play through sunset, and the evening brings fire and light shows. It has two pools, a restaurant and the Utopia Cave Club within the complex, so the sunset and the evening can stay in one place.
Regent Bali Canggu
Restaurants · Canggu
Regent Bali Canggu is IHG's beachfront resort on Batu Bolong, on Canggu's southwest coast, and the first Regent in Indonesia. Designed by WATG with interiors by HBA, it has 150 rooms and suites. Two of its restaurants are led by Chef Andrew Walsh: Sazón, a Mediterranean neighbourhood hideaway, and CURE Bali, European cooking shaped by Asian flavours. The Beach House pairs its pool and ocean breeze with craft cocktails and seafood, and the resort is home to the first Regent Spa & Wellness.
Luna Beach Club
Beach clubs · Tabanan
Luna Beach Club is perched on the cliffs of the Tabanan coast, inside Nuanu Creative City by Nyanyi Beach, west of Canggu. Its bamboo architecture by Inspiral Architects won a Silver award for sustainable and green architecture at the 2024 International Architecture & Design Awards. The complex brings together two pools, jumping platforms and a water slide, Restaurant 369, the Utopia Cave Club and the Gardenia bamboo tree pods. DJs play through sunset, and evenings bring fire and light shows.
When the light goes: where the evening turns
A few Canggu addresses are known for what happens after the sun goes down:
- MOI, on Jalan Pantai Berawa: a Mediterranean restaurant where, after sunset, the mood shifts and the evening turns into a party.
- Zai Cafe, on Jalan Pantai Batu Bolong: a DJ sets the mood on Fridays.
- The Shady Pig, the Berawa speakeasy behind an unmarked door: DJs take over later in the night.
Moi
Restaurants · Berawa
MOI Canggu is a Mediterranean restaurant on Jalan Pantai Berawa, inspired by the Aegean and by Bodrum, home of its sister address MOI Bodrum. The kitchen works with fire and Mediterranean flavours, for dinners meant to be lingered over, and the cocktails draw on sun-warmed botanicals. After sunset the mood shifts and the evening turns into a party. Themed nights include Monday Society and Bazaar MOI, an Eastern Mediterranean dinner spectacle with dancers and costumes.
Zai Cafe
Restaurants · Canggu
Zai Cafe is a modern Mediterranean and Middle Eastern restaurant on Jalan Pantai Batu Bolong in Canggu, serving from breakfast through dinner. Mornings bring flatbreads, a Greek salad with homemade feta, bowls and dips such as hummus, beetroot hummus, babaganoush and tzatziki. In the evening the menu turns to dishes like octopus with harissa and orzo, or grilled prawns with a sweet passion fruit sauce. Ceremonial matcha goes into drinks and desserts, and on Fridays a DJ sets the mood.
The Shady Pig
Bars · Berawa
The Shady Pig is a speakeasy on Jalan Pantai Berawa and the original bar of The Shady Family, the group behind The Shady Fox, The Shady Flamingo and The Shady Bunny. The theme is 1920s Birmingham bootleggers: the bar hides behind an unmarked door, and you need the password to get in. Cocktails lean experimental, using distillation, barrel ageing and fermentation, from the Shelby to a barrel-aged Negroni. Small plates, pinchos and sandwiches come with the drinks, and DJs take over later in the night.
Then the garden: Desa Kitsuné
Desa Kitsuné is the Savaya Group's lifestyle village in Canggu, a garden shared by Café Kitsuné, the Ina Ré restaurant and a Maison Kitsuné boutique. Every Tuesday and Friday, the Garden becomes the party, rain or shine: guest DJs on Tuesdays, Bali-based DJs on Fridays. Its pool is decorative, not for swimming. On those two days, the beachfront drink and the garden party make one evening. More in Desa Kitsuné at sunset.

Planning the evening
- Pick the day first. Tuesday or Friday puts Desa Kitsuné on the table after the sunset.
- Pick the mood. A party on the sand at Atlas or Finns, a quiet drink at the Regent, or the cliffs and a show at Luna.
- Book the part that needs a seat. Daybeds, cabanas and tables are set by each venue for the day.
- Plan the ride. See a driver for the night.
The door
Desa Kitsuné's parties are 21+ with a valid photo ID, and the venue states that mixed groups and couples are strongly preferred, with an earlier cutoff for men shown on the night's page. Registration on a guestlist does not guarantee complimentary entry. Finns is adults-only.
